Preview: This incident reminded Simnan that perhaps they were too prejudiced about demons and blurred their perception of the other race due to the stereotypes surrounding them.
Simnan hurriedly ran towards his sister as his face was crumpled with anxiety. “Hey, are you okay?” Even though he was the younger sibling, he always acted like he was the older one and took care of his clumsy sister.
“It's okay. It's just mana exhaustion. I ran out of mana from enchanting just now and I’m about to pass out.” Fairheth replied between the gasps that escaped through her mouth as Yhaele inwardly blushed.
What’s with the gasps? He inwardly lampoon as he heard Simnan’s voice in the side.
“Once again, I thank you for helping us in our crisis..” Simnan was about to continue before Yhaele cut him off.
“It’s too early to thank us, the fight isn’t over yet.” Yhaele coolly said as he rushed towards the battlefield with his back on the elves. Soon, sounds of fighting continued as they fell from the spear of flames wielded by the strange demon. His trajectories were tricky and hard to read and his provocations echoed throughout the battlefield.
“What's up with you? Why are you so weak? Have you even had breakfast?” Even though demons didn’t understand what he was saying, they were still mad at the way he kept opening his mouth in the middle of a battlefield, effectively pulling the aggro.
Meanwhile, Sunirae merely stood at her place and kept sending a tide of roots towards the enemies as they crushed them easily. Despite her small and flimsy look, her roots hidden underneath the earth are as big as tree roots as they overwhelmingly caused disasters among the enemy camp.
Blood stained the ground as sounds of splatters echoed throughout. Demons were being crushed in droves and eaten by the soldiers called SPY. They were helpless against the desperate demons under Sunirae as they gradually fell back and got beaten. This showed that not all demons in the lower floors are strong or have unique powers.
Pendra enjoyed the slaughter as he always did. He rushed in the middle of the enemy camp and killed them one-sidedly. More blood ran through the ground as the enemy numbers kept dwindling.
Soon, not a single one was left and the battlefield was strewn with corpses all over. Many subordinates died and only around a hundred were left. But among those hundred, they were elites that survived all kinds of battles and grew in the process. And right now, they were busy chewing through the bones of the enemy they just killed. They decided to unceremoniously eat the prey they got whenever they got their hands on them from now on in order to increase their strength to increase their chances of survival. This made them even more wild and desperate as their future enemies would suffer.
Sounds of chewing and blood splattering echoed in the now peaceful battlefield. Everyone was busy eating and Yhaele was no exception. Simnan looked at him and changed his evaluation of him. Perhaps demons are indeed cruel and bloodthirsty creatures..

What is he looking at me like that for? Yhaele wondered as he continued eating. He was hurriedly eating because the roots sent by Sunirae was quickly harvesting through the battlefield, making him hurry. Due to him hurrying, he looked like a bloodthirsty ghost in the eyes of the elven siblings as they felt their stomachs churning.
“Do you want to eat?” Sunirae asked the two as she handed a corpse hanging from her roots. Her question was done out of concern, a concern naturally nurtured as she gradually got used to the existence of her subordinates needing to eat.
“N..no thanks?” Quickly answered Simnan as he was about to retch whatever was left in his stomach.
“Yes please?” Fairheth answered hurriedly as she was curious. Plus she wanted to get close to Sunirae so she hoped that she would get closer by taking her offer.
“But can you please roast it? I have some seasonings here in my bag and I bet you guys would like it!” Requested Fairheth shamelessly. But the demons didn’t understand. Oops.
“Okay.” Except one demon, Yhaele. He took out his spear and pierced a beast-like demon in the butt and repeatedly twisted his spear to generate friction and flames.
“Um excuse, you need to peel off the skin first..” said Fairheth carefully in a whispering voice.
“...” Yhaele inwardly blushed as he felt embarrassed. He had been away from human civilization for so long that he forgot how to roast properly. He embarrassedly took out a soleis dagger and started to peel the corpse silently.
His action of silently and seriously peeling the corpse while twisting the spear deterred the siblings but they stayed silent about it.
“Um, can I put some cumin and honey? And ah, there's salt as well!” whispered Fairheth on the side while watching him roast the whole thing.
Yhaele inwardly gulped hearing the now unfamiliar terms. He just nodded to Fairheth as he let her add seasonings and spices on the meat. Soon, the aroma of the roasted meat wafted and stopped all the demons munching on their prey.
“What's that?” Asked a Ketus while sniffing around.
“It seems to be coming from Lord Yhaele’s place..” Said Siera as she looked at the direction.
Yhaele felt the dangerous gazes directed at him and he inwardly gulped. This damn thing.. Finally, the most sensitive one about the smell was Pendra and Sunirae due to their superior senses.
“Ohh! What is that?” Sunirae cheerfully asked as she looked forward to the upcoming dish. The smell was unfamiliar to her as she sniffed the particles in the air.
“Hmm, it seems delicious.” Pendra followed Sunirae’s words and agreed. He seemed to be interested in eating as well.
Yhaele inwardly laughed and felt it was funny. He didn’t think that demons would also be moved due to human cuisine. The darkness danced alongside them as the flames from the spear cooked the meat from the inside. The smell attracted the demons nearby and added another menu to the feast.
They easily took care of the beast-like Wild Demons that rushed at them as they had another buffet.
The cooking was over soon and all the demons gulped at the demonic smell that tempted them to rebel. Gulp. Their eyes went red as they eagerly watched the meat’s direction, and soon, it reached the small elf’s hands.
“Uhmm.. Hi?” Fairheth was trembling as she took the spear. She could feel the gazes from everyone around and felt overwhelming pressure. “Um, if everyone wants, you can have some?” She hesitantly said as she was afraid of unexpected reactions.
“Yes! We want! We want!”
“We want!”
“We want!”
The demons unceremoniously agreed and shouted but immediately shut their mouth before looking at sunirae. The act of being rude to their master and trying to cut in line was punishable by death and they were wary of who would die.
“Yes, I want!” However, Sunirae didn’t care about them as she hurriedly tore a leg and pierced it with her roots, scaring Fairheth.
“Ahaha” soon, she gently laughed as she saw how enthusiastic the demons were and only took a small piece for herself and gave the rest to them. The demons were very happy with her actions and looked at her in a good manner as they immediately fought to see who gets more meat and who gets none. Their fierce competition did nothing to stir the now silent darkness because most wild demons have been attracted and killed earlier.
