Chapter 61: New information!

Preview: Albeit slow, she still managed to absorb them over time as she finished browsing and digesting the newly gained information.

Sunirae reviewed the information she had gained and combined it with the previous bits and pieces of information she discovered.

Just as the previous information obtained from a portion of the memory mentioned, this place had Three Great Demon Cities. Each demon city occupied a very large area that they could no longer be called cities. And each city controls many tribes of demons, forming a vast and diverse ecosystem.

The types of demons that could be named are Burning Demons. They were one of the most common demon races in the Third Level of Hell as they possess the magic circuit of flame attribute. Although they couldn’t make use of the magic circuit to release spells like Mid-Rank demons do, they still possess and awaken innate abilities related to flames.

One of their most famous innate abilities is the Burning Claws. It is pretty basic of an ability but has effective offensive power against almost anyone. The effect of this ability allows the Burning Demons to ignite some blood in their veins near their hands and stimulate the magic circuit located there. This would result in their hands releasing burning flames that cover their entire hands, especially the nails.

The attacks caused by the Burning Claws are hard to deal with as they tend to burn the opponent and spread the flame. Not just towards the enemy, but also to the environment. This would create a battlefield engulfed in flames that is disadvantageous to the prey as their path of retreat gets cut off.

The Burning Demons being large in population makes them quite popular and many would like to ally with them during quests. Either to hunt the demons from other cities or to hunt wild and unintelligent demons. But there are also some who hunt Burning Demons, just like the Frost Demons.

Frost Demons, like their names suggest, open the magic circuit with the element of ice. They have the common appearance of demons with a hideous face and piercing horns. The only difference they had with others is that their skins are mostly light bluish like ice, and their eyes tend to be light blue as well. Their appearance is the exact polar opposite of the Burning Demons as they possess crimson colored skin and eyes.

Their abilities have some similarities with Burning Demons and its named Freezing Touch. Just like the Burning Demons, the principles behind their innate ability also overlap. But instead of burning blood, they only have to keep their mind in control at all times and not let any emotions or desire surface in their hearts. When they are as cool headed as that, they could willingly use Freezing Touch by stimulating the magic circuit.

Their method of use of magic circuits differs. With one being clearly more dependent on external forces such as forceful stimulation from explosion while one relies on oneself to activate it. The Burning Demons obviously had the advantage in casting speed and mastery as they only needed to burn a bit of blood and could replenish it after a meal. While Frost Demons would take more time to familiarize with their strength until they could freely control and activate the Freezing Touch.

The two above are roughly the examples of two types of demonic tribes in the Third Level of Hell. In fact, there are a lot of types of demons with their corresponding attributes and prowess but Sunirae only needed to compile this information first. Then she moved on to the types and classifications of creatures here.

There were two types of living beings here. One born with magic circuits while others don't. Those born with magic circuits tend to come from the families or lineages that established the cities while cases outside of that are very rare.

While those born without magic circuits have to start from scratch just like the Low-Level Demons from the Second Level of Hell. Their way of acquiring and awakening magic circuits require more effort than those born naturally. They needed to have a high sense for the mana in the air and stimulate the element affinity hidden in their bloodline.

Besides these types of demons, there are also wild and unintelligent demons that are much closer to beasts. They are either formed from thick mana concentration or through the copulation of other Wild Demons. These Wild Demons consume flesh and blood in order to gain essence slowly to cultivate a magic circuit. And the way they form magic circuits relies heavily on luck as they do not have a systematic way of doing so and could only keep on consuming mana from the meat they eat.

Wild Demons are usually the best options for demons to hunt outside due to their ferocious personality but nutritious entities. They also come in large quantities so they almost never run out of them. The only problem is that there are some Wild demons that could be compared to peak Level 3 Low-Rank demons and they pose great threat to them. That is why most demons would form teams when they go out to hunt.

Sunirae finally finished reviewing the major information in her head as she looked around and surveyed the area.

“We need to move. According to the information I have received, the strength you all possess are comparable to initial Level 3 Low-Rank demons. It means, you are the weakest.”

Her now slightly older voice echoed, sounding closer to a 17 year old girl unlike her past childish voice. Perhaps it was due to the enhancement brought about by the descent as some unknown changes took place in her body.

“What about you, master?” Zenolith asked in curiosity as he thought about how his master easily killed the demons that ambushed them.

She paused for a moment before saying “initial stage when we just arrived. But I’d probably reach the middle stage after I finish absorbing and refining all the mana in the blood of these demons.” Looking down, the corpses of the demons were already empty husks.

The essence was already absorbed by her roots but she was having a hard time refining it. The energy was like viscous liquid as it refused her command and flowed stubbornly in its own direction.

“Hmm.. Magic circuits..” Yhaele softly muttered as he felt something different ever since he arrived. There was something in his body that he felt flitting in and out. It was a strange feeling. He felt as though something had changed but he couldn’t tell what exactly had changed.
