Cave 2

"Are you sure this guy is enough for a cave exploration? He doesn't seem like too much to me," Krys complained as she was dragged out of the guild and through the town.

"He said he was a god after all," Pan said. "I'm sure he's one of the stronger ones too."

"I'm not that strong," Veritas said. "I mean not compared to my peers at least."

"Maybe he has a special weapon," Stercus said. "Like this blue thing in his pocket."

"It looks like a special bomb," Scitus said.

"This isn't a weapon," Veritas said, disappointing them. "It's just my 3ds."

"Maybe you have a special skill," Pan said.

"I can roll my tongue."

"I meant combat-wise."

"No."

"So we should've brought more people then," Krys said, disappointed.

"I mean," Pan said. "He is a god so-"

"HE'S A GOD!" Krys's eyes sparkled. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!?"

"I did," Pan said. "At the beginning of this conversation!"

"Well then," Krys said, ignoring Pan. "I guess I'm glad to have you on the team Veritas." Krys brought out her hand for a handshake, but before Veritas could shake her hand Krys turned as if she sensed something.

"Is something wrong?"

"My Diamond senses are tingling!"

"Diamond," Veritas said, with his eyes going dark as if he was speaking the name of some grand enemy or foe. Before Krys said anything he seemed relaxed and easygoing, but the second the name was brought up his aura instantly switched to that of an edgy DeviantArt OC. "That despicable monster, I can't believe he- where is everyone?"

Everyone had seemingly disappeared.

You see, while Veritas was doing some edgy brooding Krys ran to the edge of town to find Diamond. Being her party members Pan, Stercus, and Scitus noticed right away and followed, leaving Veritas to stand there menacingly.

Of course one would have to wonder why Diamond was in the town in the first place. Well, one wouldn't have to be notified if they just read S7ven 7, but in case you didn't read it then he was simply there to get his pokemon back.

So where was I? Oh right, Krys getting to Diamond. She saw him and at that moment all of her dreams came true. She always knew that she would see him again one day. The great hero. The legendary warrior. A guy she only met once but knew to be perfection as soon as she laid eyes on him. If anyone were to fit the description of a legendary hero who would kill the Demon King and stop his reign, it would be him. None in the world was as great as this guy, which is why as soon as she saw him she couldn't control herself and just went in and hugged him. Who could blame her for getting her pants wet when faced with a guy as perfect as him?

"This is the guy you talk about Krys?" Pan clearly couldn't see the greatness of the guy in front of him. He eyed him up from all angles, looking at every slight kink in his armor and notable sexy features. "Seems somewhat sexy, but I didn't know you were into the knightly type."

"This is Diamond?" Unlike Pan, Stercus was amazed to be in the presence of this heavenly figure that Krys had told him about. "This is the amazing guy who is so kind and thoughtful and a person I should look up to and be like?"

"You're already looking up to him," Scitus said. "He's clearly taller than you."

"So Krys's just saying I should be shorter than him forever? I don't know how to do that but okay!"

Meanwhile, the kitsune that looks like Diamond, the half-slime that looks like Diamond, and the zombie (who was just a zombie), stood there getting ignored by everyone else. At least they had each other.

"Remember me, Diamond? You were there to cheer me up while everyone was away. I never got the chance to say it, so thank you!" Krys smiled as if she was able to thank our lord and savior for blessing her in such a way that a mere mortal like her wouldn't be able to repay one for.

"Yeah...," Diamond said, clearly having no idea who she was. "No problem."

"Are those your familiars behind you?" For once the three were acknowledged in life, which was a life-shattering event in the realm of fiction. "It's so cool how they admire you so much they decided to look like you. I've never seen someone take such a powerful slime or kitsune, and I didn't even know it was possible to charm a zombie. Amazing!"

"Of course," Diamond said nervously. "You remind me of Calumnia."

"What was that?"

"Nothing."

"So Mr. Diamond fella," Scitus said to Diamond as Krys focused on the familiars. "Krys here said that you were the strongest person she knew. Give me the proof of that."

"Uh," Diamond said, breaking down internally. "I... uh... well... um..." He tried to say something but clearly couldn't think of a response. Because of this he just blurted out the first thing that popped up in his head. "I can breathe."

Upon hearing those words come out of his mouth Diamond wished he didn't exist.

"I like you," Scitus replied.

"I'm sorry," Diamond said. "What was that?"

Scitus smiled. "You must be one of the few in this world who truly breathe and aren't faking it, that takes strength man." Scitus held her hand out to a confused Diamond. "The name's Scitus by the way."

Diamond just shook her hand, reflecting on all of his life choices in the process.

"Well, you must be an interesting fellow." Sending a chill down Diamond's spine, Pan snuck up behind Diamond and placed his hand on Diamond's shoulder.

"Tell me," Pan said. "Are you as interesting in bed?"

"Please stop being like this Pan," Krys said, clearly cringing.

"Um..." Diamond had to think for a moment. He then realized that if saying the first thing that came to his mind worked so well for the little girl it would certainly do the same for this big dude. Of course if one were to hear this they'd probably object to it but it wasn't like anyone could read his mind at the moment, so the bad idea stuck.

"Well I wouldn't recommend it," Diamond said. "You'd probably die from what I could do."

If Diamond thought about this line for even a second he'd probably stab whatever part of the brain made him think that. However, it must have at least made this guy stop hitting on him, so Mission Successful!

"Well I like it," Pan said, grabbing Diamond's hand and walking to the closest hotel. "Let's try it!"

Mission failed!

Before Diamond had to think of how to explain the dead body that was about to be in the bed the zombie behind him blitzed up to Pan like the Flash on a sugar rush and roundhouse kicked his head to the ground. Just after that the slime extended its large, green arm and punched him like Luffy. And just after that the figure that looked just like him disappeared and above Pan appeared a large, nine-tailed fox that then pounced on him and would've suffocated him if Krys didn't fish him out.

All to protect Diamond's non-existent virginity.

"Wow," Stercus said, quite amazed. "Your familiars must be strong."

"They are," Diamond said, forgetting that the kitsune was actually carrying the team.

"I want to get familiars like you one day! Where do I get them?"

"We-" Diamond then stopped and thought about it. This was just a kid after all, and he didn't seem any smarter than the young girl from before. Maybe he could get away with saying something dumb and simple. Maybe. It wasn't a guarantee, but it wasn't like they could kill him.

"Outside," is the reply Diamond settled on.

"Really!?" Stercus looked some combination of shocked, mystified, and happy.

"Yeah," Diamond said, thinking of how Stercus was an idiot. He then realized that everyone here was an idiot, which was probably the best description of this party I've seen so far.

"Diamond," Krys said. "You should come and join us!"

"Ok," Diamond replied. "But I was looking for my 3ds so I don't think I ca-"

"A 3ds?" Stercus recognized the name. "Like the one Veritas had?"

"Veritas?"

"Yo guys," Veritas said, walking in. Upon seeing Diamond he instantly went back to brooding mode. "Why are you alive Daemonium?"

Diamond just stared there with his mouth growing wide at what he saw.
