Chapter 523: She’s A Demon!

================================

Siva, in the meantime, after trapping her in a four-layered Mini Realm that meant to trap enemies, he began to clean up the place.

He looted treasures.

He freed their prisoners.

He did all he could to make sure that this place is going to be in good condition when it finally takes its place alongside the ‘floating islands’ of Asgard.

Siva didn’t destroy anything in the castle while he did all that. What he did was to bring all people in a Mini Realm and dealt with them in there.

He found and killed the members of the Bloody Church while he made the rest swear an Oath that they will never even think about joining the Bloody Church or they will be struck by lightning. Many, he had found out, were actually slaves, especially a few of those beautiful women with attitude who, despite Kladis’ charms, still had dignity on them and despised him eternally.

It was a wonder that Eros never touched them.

…or did he not know about them?

When Siva freed them, they begged to be brought home while some had no other place to go so he offered shelter in Asgard.

Of course, all of them swore Oaths to never say a word regarding anything; that everything that had happened here was actually connected to Siva.

After that, the castle became an empty place. He took it into his inventory.

The corpses were disposed and were placed on the spot where the castle should have been.

When he checked his EXP, it was now a massive amount of 5,734EXP.

Killing more than 500 members of those baptized members of the Bloody Church boosted his EXP by at least 1,500.

Just a small amount more and he upgrade the IPU again and increased its level to LVL-14.

“Perhaps if I dispose of those traitors inside the Prison Realm… heh.”

Only when this was done did Siva heaved a sigh and realized that 30 minutes had actually went by.

By now the entire semi-blitz operation was already running close to 3hrs.

“Cortana, status.”

[Everything is okay sir. The Predator is defeated and so was brought into a separate Prison Realm while the reinforcements of The Legion joined the other prisoners from Mundus. On the Haven Dust Company’s side, the struggle is still on-going. The clean up on the target is 98% complete. 40% of all resources confiscated from the Merchant Group have been put into the Mini Realms. 60% are still being processed sir.]

“What about the Haven Dust? Did they get any resources from the Merchant Group?”

[Negative sir. The Merchant Group is holding on tightly on their side. Especially with the addition of Zaza holding up their front lines there.]

In the end, Hagrid, Rhino, and Paris were trashed by Hugo’s and Gaia’s people.

Good thing the battles are inside a Safe Zone or their death counts should have been enormously painful to the heart.

Siva then thought, since he was a City Lord as well as a King and was aware of the “options” that became available when managing his territory, it may be possible to save lives if they conducted their battles in the future inside a Safe Zone?

Perhaps, if he could avoid triggering a City-wide threat, then the “Safe Status” won’t be lifted and death counts will be reduced.

Since he had the Mini Realms, the cleanup can be shortened to a considerable amount. Casualties are also reduced to zero if that actually happened.

Alas, such a pipe dream… with the invasion nine months later, forget about lifting a Safe Zone in just a single city, Siva was sure that the entire planet will not be safe at all.

He clenched his fists, turning towards the horizon facing the direction of Mundus.

“Perhaps adding Mundus to the Asgard won’t be a bad choice at all.”

[There will be security problems with that sir.]

“We don’t need the people. We just need the place itself.”

[If you do that, you’ll be the enemy of all Terrans living in Mundus.]

“But what if we blame it all in the Bloody Church?”

[It’s possible. The resources of Mundus will be of a big help towards your objectives.]

“I was actually thinking about the hot springs but whatever, you’re right. Though I didn’t think about that far yet but you’re definitely right.”

[…]

“Oh, where’s Amanda?”

[She’s with Lady Gaia.]

He didn’t look back at his work and just took a single step, vanished with a ripple in space, and appeared next to Gaia after a big haul.

“Rex!”

“Mandy. Ahem, I mean, Scion. We’re in the game so please pay attention to this rule. Don’t call me by my name here. Okay?”

Scion, understanding her mistake covered her lips with her hands. While the expression on her face was of panic, she was still cute and Siva, wearing his faceless-fire mask, smiled underneath it.

“There’s actually nothing you can do here and in fact, I really didn’t want you to see the cruelty of this deed… but if you still insist, then I will have to inform you that the next phase of this attack was going to be a lot more brutal. Are you prepared?”

Scion bit her lips and gave him a nod. She held his hand tightly and asked, “You know, you could just give the orders to others, right?”

Siva caressed her cheek with a gloved hand, “You ought to know, my curse lets me be the only one who can determine who the traitors are and who are not amongst normal citizens. I don’t have any other choice but to personally be there.”

Biting her lip, Scion lowered her head and nodded at him, staying silent. Siva then faced Gaia and the waiting Hugo who were staring dumbfoundedly at Scion.

“What’s wrong with him?”

Gaia turned to Hugo and swipe the front of his face with her hand with no change in reaction to the Werewolf King. This surprised Siva.

“Apparently, it would seem that he’s imprinting.”

“Imprinting?” Siva’s brows twitched.

He doesn’t have a good feeling about that word.

Gaia, sensing Siva’s rising hostility, cleared her throat and explained, “Don’t worry, Milord, it’s not as bad as you may think of it. Earlier, Hugo said that she emitted a familiar scent he couldn’t quite recall and later on, just before you arrived, he said that it was somehow connected to their Legacy.”

Siva thought for a moment then looked at Scion then recalled something.

“Wasn’t Lycosa and Luna retainers of mother?”

The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there.

“Hm?” Gaia paused and her face seems to recall at some vague memory. “You’re right. Wasn’t that during the time of the bestowment ceremony of the first ever Eight Naga Kings?”

Siva said, “I wasn’t present back then and have only heard about it from Vasuki, but it would seem that during their Dragon Name Bestowment Rite, Mother Terra briefly appeared as a Spirit Body. Is it five, or six, retainers that followed her? I’m not exactly sure but I vaguely recall Lycosa and Luna being there… if my memory serves me right.”

“To be precise,” Gaia corrected, “It was Artemis, Luna, Lycosa, Houyi, Indra, and Bacchus. Lycosa, being their progenitor, may perhaps have passed on some vague lingering sense of worship for Mother Terra into her children.”

“It may be that.”

Scion was just listening but hearing that it was on some way or another connected to her being the inheritor of Terra’s Legacy, as well as the keeper of Janus’ Legacy, perhaps there really is a vague connection as to why Hugo was reacting weirdly in this way towards Scion. She couldn’t help but a little bit embarrassed and hide her face on Siva’s long orange sleeve.

He dismissed it and took a step forward, bringing the rest of the crew towards the location of the other resources that’s yet to be brought to a Mini Realm by the collectors.

In all likelihood, when Siva did the collection, it only happened in just seconds since he can store anything into his Inventory at a speed of 20m per second for anything with a size bigger than 20m.

Since the resources were stockpiled and are also physically connected to each other, they were all considered as one object so they were brought in his inventory in a short while.

After that, Hugo finally woke up.

“I’m sorry I showed you something awful.”

“Rude, actually. You were ogling at my woman.”

Hugo coughed and apologized.

“It was not my intention.”

“Whatever.” Siva shrugged then joked about, “But really, I don’t want any guy looking at my woman with those kinds of eyes. I feel jealous. And you know what jealous men are capable of doing.”

Hugo’s body stiffened and he coughed again for quite a while, staring at the sky, “Oh look, the sky is beautiful.”

“It’s cloudy.”

“Cough…. cough… oh look the grass is verdant.”

“We’re in a warehouse.”

“…”

Siva was just joking but seeing that the ‘distance’ between he and Hugo had already shortened, a kind thought flashed in his mind. Perhaps I could help him ascend as well. Siva told himself and so took note of it. it was yet to be mentally examined.

At this time, his gaze landed at the direction of Haven Dust Company. A mischievous smile then emerged on his lips.

“Let’s pay the Haven Dust Company a visit.”

Although there was still the barrier-sealed room in Haven Dust HQ, Siva was positive that if this is connected to the Theocracy, then at best, the one in there sustaining the Barrier Spell should just be a Quasi-Immortal on the level of Hugo. So he also brought him along.

A single step spanned kilometers and Gaia and Hugo were surprised that after three steps, Siva and their crew had already landed inside Haven Dust Company’s compounds.

“Why is no one reacting after our arrival?” asked a confused Hugo. In their party, there was only four people; Siva, Scion, Gaia, and Hugo.

“We’re hidden in the fragments of space.” Siva replied to the question. “Four layers of it.” he then finished and took another step.

When they appeared next, it was in front of a door where beyond it lay the barrier-sealed space that Siva had detected before.

“I think the agent from the Theocracy is here.”

“An agent?” Hugo was bewildered, “If that’s true, then he or she shouldn’t be alone and that at best will be a high-level Crusader or Paladin.”

“I have a hunch that it might be one of the Grand Paladins or Grand Crusaders.” Gaia said.

Scion was just silent.

“Why don’t we enter and find out?” Siva said and he disabled their cloaking and pushed the door.

When they entered, a surprised pair of eyes was directed at them and as soon as they saw Siva, in his striking red and orange-motif clothes, their gaze immediately turned hostile. Yet, just as they were about to launch their attacks, they stopped.

Their gazes were then fixed at Scion.

For some reason, the halos of invisible light that surrounded the two of them retreated as if they were afraid… afraid of dirtying the invisible aura of the presence that Scion represented.

Alas, for the two of them, they couldn’t have been wrong in its interpretation and so then became aggressively hostile.

“Demon!”

“She’s a demon!”

““Kill her!””

The two pulled out their weapons and lounged for an attack. But before they could even get close, a wall of dark bluish-red metal blocked their paths.

“What do you think you’re doing?!!” Hugo roared angrily at the two.

Gaia was even more furious at their reactions.

“How dare you! You don’t even know who she is and you blaspheme the name of Terra’s legacy!”

“Lies!” the Paladin of Justice roared. “Terra is the Goddess of Time… she will never bestow her powers, much less her legacy, to a mere Mortal who is not even part of the Theocracy! She is a high-level demon and by protecting her, we have confirmed that you are indeed under the spell of the Demon Armada!”

“Escape from here, Lord Paladin! You must inform His Eminence about this blasphemous existence!”

The Paladin of Justice pulled out a T-Device and pressed on it. But… to his shock, he didn’t vanish.

“H-How could this…”

“Apologize.” A cold voice rung in their ears and at the next moment, the Killing Zone erupted with a terrifying effect on their spirits. “Kneel down and beg for forgiveness.”

BAM!

BAM!

The two Paladins were forced to kneel by the two lumps of Neo-BMA that suddenly befallen their shoulders. The weight was more than ton and it was enough weight to punish the two of them who were nothing more than Quasi-Immortals.

“How fucking conceited.” Siva’s words erupted at their ears. “You don’t even know who you are disrespecting and yet you dared to even cuss my mother’s choice right in front of my face!”

Siva raised his hand and the two were forcefully lifted as the Neo-BMA that weighed on their bodies changed into prison-armors, ‘crucifying’ them in midair defenselessly with arms spread as wide as they can get.

The eyes when they saw Siva now were filled with a sense of dread as all they saw was a blank face presented by the faceless mask.

And yet… and yet beyond the covering of that faceless-fire mask was a pair of eyes that burned with utter hatred and malevolence at them.

Their visions dimmed and their consciousness felt like it was being depressurized on a vacuum. The air around them felt thin and their taste buds were like sands rubbing against their dry mouths.

What kind of devilish murderous desire is this?!!

They were Paladins! One of them was even titled as a “Grand” by his Eminence himself. They’re the bringer of justice, harbinger of doom to all Demon Kinds and their allies. They’ve been to so many battlefields already and had looked death right in the eyes and lived to tell the tales. They should be immune to any level of murderous intents and desire to slaughter and yet Siva was, right now, emitting such thick killing intent that it affected not only their souls, but almost transformed reality.

It was as if… the world was afraid of him.

They knew then, if they didn’t comply, Siva will kill them where they were being held in midair. It was not going to be a glorious death but a shameful one at that. One that they were not even able to move a single finger in reply.

For Quasi Immortals to be reduced to this without as much as being able to fight back a curse word was just too humiliating and yet they were actually experiencing it right here and now!

Just who is this Siva and how was he able to emit such thick murderous desire it almost became tangible enough to affect their reality?

No amount of murder and mortal slaughtering can produce such thick murderous desire.

This was at the level of something above Mortals.

It was only possible and ‘should’ be possible only to those who had killed at least a thousand Gods and Immortals.

Yet the thought, almost instantly, were dismissed for the notion itself was ridiculous not to mention a tad bit preposterous to even comprehend.

Forget about killing Gods, they don’t even have a single confirmed Immortal in Terroa, much less a God. Yet the two of them can’t breathe… in both physically and spiritually. The Divine Blessings that should have been protecting their bodies are not responding to their call. They inwardly prayed and yet those aren’t answered as well. It was as if they were forsaken by their Gods.

What they didn’t know was that Siva’s suppression went beyond his control for it was only the natural reaction to those who disrespected his mother.

It was the same reaction he had when he saw the Terran Deities back then attacking his mother.

[Boss, your neural levels are rising rapidly!]

A sharp pain pinched on his cheek and Siva saw a gentle hand caressing where the pain came from.

He was just slapped in the face just now.

Siva snapped out of his trance and realized that all around him, bloody-red flames began to seethe and that on his vision was Cortana reporting that his clothes had received a 40% internal damage.

It was the fires of [Siva] threatening to set free out of his rein again.

Scion was hugging his face and her smile gentle as her touch was.

“They were ignorant. Forgive them. Okay?” She said and kissed him. “Relax. I am not angry.” She kissed him again. “Cool down, please?”

Scion wore a cute face and an expectant smile.

Who said she didn’t know she was pretty?

Siva closed his eyes and held her hand. Then he nodded and kissed her back. “I’m okay now.”

But while he had indeed cooled down, the two was yet to be freed from his lock.

With a little hand gesture, the prison armor they wore squeezed tighter but while they felt physical suffering, they already began to collect their own spirits and have clear and proper thoughts. They heard the two’s words just now. No, they heard all these four’s words clearly since earlier.

And what was more surprising even is that they’d felt pain from Siva’s suppression.

Meaning, for a moment there, the “Safe” status of the city was canceled, allowing pain and deaths.

Thinking about the timing, all the more they grasp that perhaps they have indeed blasphemed on a supreme existence. But… the doctrine of their Theocracy superseded with these thoughts. If the Theocracy wasn’t able to get the legacy of the Goddess of Time, how could a mere mortal that’s not even part of the Priestesses of the Theocracy manage to get it?

If one thing, this was just another unknown God’s supreme legacy at work, but not the supreme one who was the Goddess of Time, the Preserver of Worlds’ legacy.

Thinking up to here, the two finally get to make do of their mistakes and apologized.

“We have sinned, oh great Priestess. We beg for your leniency…”

“Please forgive us, Priestess…”

These were sincere apologies. But Siva, although he felt their sincerity was real, did not free them.

“You haven’t knelt.” He coldly spat.

BAM! BAM!

Another sound of them heavily hitting the floor of the room and kneeling on all fours in front of her.

“Apologize properly. Acknowledge your sin. Beg for forgiveness. Recognize your blasphemy and admit your mistakes. Only then will I set you free.”
