Chapter 423: Dragon Ocean
================================
‘Cortana, are you able to get the contact information of that Howard Gregory?’
[Unfortunately sir, I wasn’t able to get anything from the scans I did at him earlier. It seems that he is indeed a careful politician.]
Rex sneered, ‘At least not careful enough to hide the public profiles of these men.’
[Should I call the cops?]
‘No. In fact, hack into the local telecommunications tower in the area and prevent any call or any other form of contact that will be made to the police. Also lock the Local Net in the area and stop all modes of video recording. I don’t want what I’m going to do in here to get out of this place.’
[Yes sir. And although it would be risky, I can also still look into the National Government database to get Howard’s personal contact information. The one he gave you earlier was his business number so it’s highly unlikely he’ll personally answer it.]
Rex heaved in a pant before stopping and spoke in an audible voice, “Don’t. It’s better to send the message through his thugs.”
With that said, Rex stopped preparing to leave and only sat on the bike and stared at the group with an icy gaze that told the other patrons and other stall owners felt scared for the incoming trouble.
His gaze provoked the hotheaded gangster and so he stood up and swaggeringly, approached Rex.
“What’re you lookin’ at, punk? Is there something in me face that’s too good lookin’?”
“Your acting is good, Michael Kates.” Rex said as he stood up and walked towards the ‘gangster’.
The man and the rest of their group were startled.
Just from this alone, they realized that all of their identities have always been exposed to him. They realized that they looked like clowns in front of Rex playing gangster.
“What, you got tongue tied, you can’t speak?” Rex took a step forward and the stunned ‘Michael’ was shell-shocked that he tumbled two steps back and looked at Rex warily.
The leader also stood up and was preparing to pull something from behind him when Rex smiled at his attempt without fear.
“Now that I take a good look at you, Poe, Nix, Ferns, and Bong… I couldn’t help but wonder… if you’re really brave enough to pull your knives and guns at me in a place like this.”
After his words, Rex took another step forward so the startled Michael who’s also been in the midst of pulling out a ‘weapon’ hesitated. He only just now realized that the Rex in front of them weren’t even scared one bit despite their numbers.
His words sounded like a threat to the leader, the one named Poe, but he had his orders.
“Since when?” he asked. Now that he took a look at Rex, he now also realized that Rex’s stance was set so that he can either attack or defend if one of his men made his move. To his skill level, he saw Rex’s current stance as to not having any opening at all, and it scared him. “Since when did you know that we were tailing you?”
“Just now, actually.” Rex said nonchalantly then he took another step and almost bumped into Michael who now fell back to a chair, looking at him in fear and surprise. “If Michael hadn’t come closer to me just now, I wouldn’t have recognized him through his make up.”
The rest of them wore disguise but it was only a shallow make up. But to an ordinary citizen, it was already enough to not recognize them. And yet Rex did. What they didn’t know is that it was a DNA scan from Cortana that gave them away.
Poe didn’t get angry at Michael. They are all pros here and he knew that it wasn’t because of the reason Rex told him. It was probably some other method that gave them away.
But no matter what it is, it only proved that Rex is not an ordinary kid they were ordered to kidnap.
Poe reached to his collar and spoke in a hush but soon after, he frowned as if he realized something.
“Oh, you wanted to contact your pick up to kidnap me and bring in? That won’t happen. Perhaps right now, your pickup should be listening to radio.”
Cortana blocked all signals within a certain radius and it was only now did she traced their ‘pickup’ that’s been waiting on a block on the other side of the nearest building.
Poe’s expression twisted. What does this kid didn’t know about our plan?
Kidnapping is a crime. They aren’t official thugs, in fact, but bodyguards… but Howard Gregory had made them do dirty things ever since their employment and because the pay was high, they couldn’t voice a word.
“We were just following orders.” He said. He chose to admit defeat in exchange of making a mess in this place.
Rex smiled at his wise decision.
“Then I won’t make things hard for you.” Rex was smiling at him but that smile made Poe’s face twitch and his heart clench. It was an evil smile. “The fact that you were able to notice that even if I am outnumbered you are still no match to me is proof enough that your experience taught you very good lessons. So, today, nobody will get hurt.”
After he spoke, Rex took another step and at the same time, he released his bloodlust that startled everyone closest to his 30m vicinity.
The customers didn’t dare to breathe as the stall owners gulped down, wishing that no fight will break out on his stall area.
Poe and his team swallowed hard. This kind of murderous will isn’t something a kid should have but it was clear. They’re all experienced ex-military people and knew exactly who the scary ones are from those who aren’t. Sweat trickled down their spines, especially Michael who was the closest to Rex right now.
“But I need you to send a message to Howard and that impotent who got scared silly and wet his pants from fear of me.”
Poe wasn’t aware of what happened inside the mansion earlier because he was in the van but he did saw Angus drive away in fury earlier.
Besides…
—who wouldn’t wet his pants if you scared them with that kind of killing intent?
“W-What message?” Poe was really wary now. He didn’t dare to underestimate Rex just because of his young age. In his experience, there are more dangerous young generation madmen than those trained and experienced old bones.

“Fuck. Off. My. Woman.”
Poe immediately understood. He was aware that Howard’s nephew, Angus, was wooing a certain rich lady but he didn’t know that the lady was already a woman of somebody else. And it was one with a frightening background.
“I will deliver your message.”
“Make sure you do.” Rex said and pulled back his bloodlust. “Or else… I will be forced to use all my cards to deal with their family. You should know by now that I am not someone who can be controlled by this country’s laws.”
Poe nodded. Someone who can emit such a thick bloodlust was someone who had taken lives in not just by tens but perhaps even hundreds.
Was he an assassin?
…..an assassin like those in the movies?
But he was too young… and isn’t he a Kingsley?
Thoughts like these entered his mind but he didn’t dare to dally now that he was given a leeway. This mission was a failure but it was a failure which can’t be blamed on their lack of ability to accomplish but is indeed attributed to their target having surprising threat levels.
Rex looked down at Michael, “Scram.”
Michael, as if given a life pardon, hurried to his feet and was the first to scamper about. The rest of his ‘gang’ followed him and soon disappeared to the back of the building where no one could see.
Rex coldly looked on at their direction and only made a sigh, then got back to the bike and started the engine… ignoring the adoring gazes of the ladies and the sparkling heated gazes of envy and admiration from the young men.
He left the night scene and drove home. Because of his body’s current constitution, fatigue is just an event and he can always use the DNI-Therapy on his NLD Console to use the excess energy into forming his brain later.
So, he chose to login.
There’s still a lot of work to do.
*****
Grand Mansion, Castle City Jeremiah.
After logging in, he pulled out a T-Device and he went straight back to Asgard.
“My Lord.” Siva was teleported straight back to the square at the middle of the castle town. In here was Butler Akhenaton, with a few wandering maids and servants, players, and NPCs that had become the citizens of this secret island country.
Asgard, to the eyes of an onlooker, was a beautiful place filled with colors and the vibrancy of the joy and celebration of life.
In here were regions measured in kilometers, with a dedicated military division located on two regions, a recreational area where the Coliseum was, then the production area, then a market area, then a trading area, and many others more… the place is already a buzzing hubbub of activities as it was completely an independent country fitted into an island realm.
Food wasn’t a problem. It has a dedicated farming area that produces many varieties of crops… and is even supported by a dedicated team of elite NPCs that goes into cities to buy as much food resource as they can by the order of the Castle Lord, Siva.
Water was one of the most abundant in Asgard as it has its own Atmospheric Hydro-Distillation Facility that had a fully functional “Hydrospheric Distillation Machine” in it —converting air particles into water which was redistributed through Asgard’s complex system of networking passageways, which then in turn becomes the Asgard’s rivers, the lake around Apus Epirus, and the “immortal’s land” atmosphere where its excess water falls to the Oz Mountain Range down below… resulting to phenomena that some ‘lucky’ wanderers who managed to discover the peak claim that there was something in there.
Almost all of these ‘regions’ were places that were given to him by Billion back in Alexandria. He was a very generous fellow. Siva has nothing else to say.
The Monster Barns looked lively with an increasing number of live monsters being hauled by Asgard’s diligent and hardworking warrior citizens.
It only has this one town but everywhere Siva look, the activities in here was as lively and as noisy as any of those ‘capitals’ in Terroa.
“And to think we’ve only discovered 10% of the total land surface of this planet…” Siva can’t help but to whisper to himself whenever he thought of the reports Cortana uploaded to his brain about the updates regarding RPG: Terroa.
Despite the Warship Technology widespread to the entire world of Terroa; despite the many adventurer guilds and expedition campaign launches that many videos found in the real-world featured on… there are still 90% of the land to discover about Terroa’s surface continents.
[Sir, according to my estimates, 60% of the still to be discovered regions in Terroa are all under water or in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.]
Terroa had three major oceans touching the central continent of Zenturo.
In shape, according to polar directions, these five continents —the surface continents— of Terroa, are shaped like a spiral.
From the North Pole to the South Pole, Tiara, the Northern Continent’s [Walled City of Paneme] would be the most northern city in the planet. But if it is viewed on a [map], Paneme would be located northeast of Alexandria —the most central location in Tiara and the one considered the most northern city in the planet.
Taking note that there are only five major colonies for Terrans to live in Tiara, anyone can imagine the distance between these cities for Tiara itself was the second largest continent in the entire planet next to Espada.
Continuing the spiral mapping relevant to the Poles, Tiara would be Northwest; Flowerion to the West; the Southern Isles, Heartilia, to the entire south; for Espada, the Eastern Continent’s land area ate up the entire east and a bit of the northeastern region, was an enormous land… with Zenturo, the piece of land stuck in the middle… being the last.
It was said that there are six continents in Terroa but no proof of it was yet to exist both locally and in the real world forums —even to the underground trading site that Graham introduced to him.
(AN: Graham introduced this website to Rex back in Volume 1 when Rex first settled in on the Townhouse Unit)
But Siva knew where it is and in all of Terroa’s nigh-unlimited number of adventurers, there was only a single group that came across a lead towards this mysterious land.
It was an adventurer group comprised of die-hard fans of adventure.
Since the mainlands of the continent are all filled with people with Volt’s profession —adventurer for hire— that takes client requests to discover lands that can be developed into resorts and even cities, this group took sea fairing to another level, going so much as studying real-world techniques know-hows in order to better navigate in the seas of this mysterious planet.
They documented their entire endeavor, garnering fans and admirers, although few.
But their fame was a continuous plummeting trip to the earlier hype since for some reason, the further they go into the sea the more useless flight abilities and flying items and vehicles becomes.
Since they can’t afford to build their own warship, they were forced to navigate the seas manually.
—until two months later where they charted their entire seafaring course the wrong way.
They started in an island in the Southern Isles. By following the stars, the wind, and leaving behind an expensive item called [buoy] once in a while, they managed to track their direction to the southeastern most extreme area of Pacific Ocean.
And in here, they discovered a giant landmass that measured to be at least a fourth of the entire area of the Continent of Espada.
It may be the smallest continent in the planet but it was still a continent nonetheless.
The landmass was surrounded by a never-ending storm that gathered black clouds ceaselessly. The rain of thundering lightning never ceased and its entire vicinity was filled with towering waves of at least 100ft high that roared with the wind.
Such a bizarre “island” was unique and the group knew that they had discovered gold in the ocean.
And yet, just as they were about to go to the island and officially start their adventure, they only heard a single loud roar of some creature and at the next moment… all members of the crew died.
Since their audience and supporters were already too few, their deaths were too devastating that their comeback attempt garnered less to no support from the world. Yet despite that, they still went on for the sake of those who supported their adventure but as they followed the same route that’s supposedly be met with less time to ponder for… the island that they’ve discovered are now gone —and what more, they tragically died from a Leviathan.
Their second defeat was a tragic end and their site closed, they lost all heart to return to the sea and only spent their days adventuring Terroa in the mainlands where they can still escape thru the help of T-Devices when it was troublesome, unlike that space-sealed place in the ocean where a nightmare lurk below the darkness of the sea.
Siva, of course, got all this information using the all-time favorite ability of Cortana —data gathering.
He only needed a thought and Cortana would do all the necessary steps to gather information through all network paths in the Net.
It was a piece of information he obtained after he had recalled everything about himself. Only now did he get the time to properly give it a thought and by doing so, Cortana showed the video she managed to dig from the trillions of videos uploaded in the YourTube website.
“Chronos.”
Siva was sure of it.
It was the sixth continent of Terroa… in the farthest location in the Southeast, the Dragon’s Ocean.
