Chapter 392: Kageyoshi
================================
—yes, this is the feeling I missed.
Siva felt himself going back to those times; a time where he roamed the universe free and unhindered, spreading the path to immortality and increasing their chances of survival against the wiles and corruptions of the devils.
He wasn’t in his prime. In fact, he wasn’t even 1% close to the power he had on his prime at this very moment.
Not only does he lack his beloved weapon that he was sure to have either been already destroyed or hiding at some corner of the universe somewhere, he wasn’t even an Immortal which is the most basic prerequisite when facing against the full force of the Demon Armada.
This here, right now, is just the tip of the tip of the ice beg that is the Demon Armada.
It wasn’t even close to the number of the scouting legion where Mefisto surprisingly emerged for an unknown reason, 56 years ago. When the Demon Armada invaded and almost sent the Terrans to the brink of extinction back then, just an entire regiment of Supreme Warships were enough to actually cover every corner of the skies of Terroa.
Back then was the time of Darkness for Terroa and yet, when all seemed to have been lost and the light of hope was eaten away by the darkness, one Devil General succumbed to her own sets of temptations and committed the gravest mistake she could have ever done.
It was Sefirah who unleashed the darkness in him that he tried to control, and that led to the defeat of that great army.
Mefisto and all the Devil Generals ‘died’ and [Siva] was sealed by Terra.
The flow of events continued on.
“Haaaaahhhhh….” Siva exhaled in the middle of all these thoughts.
Now, Siva was back, as well as his enemies.
Siva became a weak Terran, and the struggle was once again happening in Terroa, with a few new twists, and the real world at their doorstep, waiting for a chance to get a piece of the diamond hidden beneath the surface of Terroa.
He is weak, but that also applied to his enemies, although just for the meantime.
But he knew that the Devils Gods, despite being capable of change, are the rulers of pleasure, the lords and givers of desires.
Change is the last word they’ll remember if they can’t win against him in this personal war.
“This is the feeling…”
Siva could feel the nostalgia coursing through his avatar’s blood vessels.
“The smell of the impending violence…”
He had a chance to start over again, tread a path different from the one that he walked on in that far distant past.
“…the sound of clashing metals, magic cast, and wailing cries of pain and agony…..”
Although Siva lacks many things from his time of glory, it’s still not something hard to admit. He now recalls all that had happened, even including his reason why he had decided to forget it all and start a new life.
He already accepted this different path he was now currently walking on.
“……I will meet all of you… again……”
Yes, to the real world this is but a game… but if they experienced the things he did here, trillions of years ago, would they still call it as such?
Yes.
This is indeed just a game.
But the truth hidden in Terroa is…
“This is a game no one should be playing. The life spent here is real to the essence which makes it a real alternate world created by man.”
BOOM!!!
—a silent explosion—
———one that you can only hear in your mind.
The [Killing Zone] spreading, Siva’s bloodlust as he recalled the past, was strengthening the effect of madness to the endless waves of enemies.
Blades flew, skewered, beheaded, and chopped the enemies without care, targeting all their weak spots as per Siva’s memories and knowledge of the universe of Terroa.
“All of you are going to die here.”
A sinister declaration!
These are all Fire-element monster resources. He will use their corpses to add to his strength!
Siva’s reason for pursuing strength this time is much purer and simple in essence than the one he had used as a driving force back then.
Ruin…
Obliterate…
Annihilate.
His desperation may have twisted this logic, but as the meaning implied, he was in a desperate kind of situation.
Now that the Devil Gods are back, it’s only a matter of time before they fully synchronize with their hosts. Once they do, Terroa’s suppression will do them little trouble and if he isn’t prepared to face them with sufficient strength by then, then not only him, Baron would have been put to the frontlines of danger as well.
He had to get stronger as fast as possible.
“I don’t have my resources like before but I have my [memories] and this is my weapon against the Armada this time.”
To save the last family he had left in this world, he will trample anyone and he will destroy everything that stands his way.
Right now, he can barely control himself.
He is seething with anger; he was boiling with the desire for his millions of years of pursuit of revenge.
Is it wrong or hypocritical to set aside matters of priority when facing an enemy?
Perhaps… yet when you step back, you will be able to notice that from before and until now, Siva walked on that fragile thread while never forgetting nor abandoning what makes him a person —of what makes him a man.
But that is that and this is this.
If he can’t defeat Baal here, Jeremiah and perhaps even all of Terroa will fall. No one wants that to be the fate of the world, right?
As such, Siva still felt satisfied.
A target of revenge was close-by and he knew that if he suppresses this rage a day further he would implode and that will only endanger Baron more in many ways than just him going on a rampage.
Thus, he needed to vent this out no matter what happens.
He needed to release his pent up rage.
“Oh, Baal… you mothafacking piece of shit. Where are you right now? Come… come… wherever you are… I WILL DICE YOU AND USE YOUR BODY AS A MATERIAL TO BUILD—
*****
—MY ULTIMATE INVENTION! Hahaha… Ahaha... Hahahahahaha!!! Come to me! All of you! So that I can destroy you all piece by piece! Hahahahaha!!]
Siva’s provocation didn’t go unheard by the proud people in the mothership’s control room. His loud and echoing laughter was even tinged with the bitter taste of mockery and ridicule.
“Impudent fool!”
“How dare he blaspheme the name of the Emperor like that?!!”
“Where is our elite team? Send them immediately!”
“Kill this bastard!”
“Don’t let him get away!”
“Use his body as a chopping board!”
“Dice him up!”
“Eat him!”
*****
There are still many people, those who had gone inside the mothership ahead of Siva fighting the Commanders and the normal mob inside. But it was only him and him alone who had garnered the attention of the Supreme Commanders.
Siva’s brutality and harvest had insulted the entire citizenry of the Burning Apocalypse Dominion.
His ‘crimes’ cannot go unpunished.
For the greatest sin of desecrating the regalness of His Majesty’s, Baal’s, name, he must meet his doom in the slowest and cruelest, most painful of ways.
[Oh great and almighty El Bravo Supreme, we are humbly lowering our heads to beseech you, in the name of His Highness, Great Emperor “Baal” The Belphegor of the Sloth, please kill the Terran! He desecrated His Majesty’s name and called him a piece of shit in the Terran language! He must be punished! He must be put to our kitchen and preserved and eaten alive!]
An image of Siva appeared in front of one of the Supreme Commanders.
Supposedly, they are existence on the level of the Gods and even Immortals but because of the suppression of this wretched planet’s core to everything unwanted, all almighty “Supremes” were forced to become mere Mortals, the same level as these miserable pieces of Terran scums.
It was an insult to their status and yet they have no choice for the last pieces of their goals were in this very planet itself.
They had to dive down here in order to get them.
Still, that doesn’t mean being mere “Mortals” will pull down all their strengths.
They’re still “Supremes” and they’re only stripped off of their Immortality but they still retained a quasi-Immortal state —the same level of power as Gaia.
For the Terrans, a strength as strong as Gaia’s are already enough to put her at the pedestal of a God when compared to them!
As such, for a mere Terran such as this bloke in his vision, to defile His Majesty’s, The Emperor’s, name was the greatest of sins possible.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
He looked at the sight of him slaughtering and also ‘harvesting’ his brethren, and albeit it was baffling as to how a weapon as crude and as small as that can perform such feat, this still made the fires on his body burn a brighter gold remembering the sin he had spoken to and declared earlier.
Forgetting the embellishments and added details on the reporter’s words, just the fact alone that he killed many Commanders under him was enough for him to move and kill the vile Terran.
“How dare this impertinent maggot profane the great dignity of the citizens of The Dominion?! I shall personally kill him! No need to contact the other Supremes. I alone am enough. I will make sure he regrets being born in this universe.”
*****
“The El Bravo Supreme had gone to personally handle the problem, Your Highness.”
The same captain bowed on another Supreme, the 6th and highest ranking Supreme in this ship, the [Captain of the Ship], on a seat in the Main Control Bridge.
This was also another Fireflame Beast just like El Bravo, but he was a lot bigger and looked closer to Baal in appearance than to anybody else.
Baal is the Emperor of the Burning Apocalypse Dominion, so being called a “highness’ meant that this particular ‘Supreme’ was an Imperial Scion.
He spoke coldly, “We have been asleep for many millennia, waiting for His Majesty, The Emperor, to come back… now that we have this chance to get our hands on a Memory Crystal and strengthen our bloodline, we must not let anything stop us in achieving this goal. Obliterate every obstacle! Eat anyone that stands in our way.”
From his poise to his attitude, this Supreme was a royalty through and through and this is the reason why every member in the Control Room felt a high level of reverence, respect, and fear towards him.
“Heed my command,” the Prince said, “Deploy all Commander Assets! Kill the intruders. Leave none alive!”
“Hai!”
“And as for that Terran…” he looked at Siva in his own panel screen, “…don’t let him get anymore closer to the imperial throne. Tell Delta it is my command. He must reinforce Gamma to secure the Memory Crystal as soon as possible!”
“We shall comply.”
*****
Supreme Commander El Bravo left the room with fires and heavy stomps, and the Captains in the control room heaved a sigh of relief while the rest of the Supremes in the same room as him looked at the sight of a battle close to their main target.
“Should we reinforce Gamma?”
“Leave him be.”
“Right. He’s one of us, what could go wrong?”
“Although it’s envious that he found a corruptible target that’s on the verge, it’s still his hunt. We are still Supremes! It’s unthinkable that we cannot pull a simple task of taking away the [Crystal] from a mere Terran and had to go there with all of us just to retrieve it.”
“In my opinion, us being here is already too much for reserve forces. I’d rather be out there to take over a city than be here and sit until this is done.”
“I’m bored.”
“Sleepy…”
“I want a Succubus right now.”
“““Aye… agreed.”””
There are subtle differences between a corrupted boundary-level quasi-Immortal and a purebred son or daughter of the almighty Devil God Race.
In their history, the Burning Apocalypse Dominion was first home to the Burning Apocalypse Race.
But when the dawn of the Devil Gods Race began, this race of Fire Beasts gave birth to the Agents of Corruption and although they retained the name of their dominion, the entire race itself changed and has been renamed to Fireflame Beasts… Devil Gods of the pure Fire Element…!!
Although there are side races within the dominion, the most powerful of them are still the Fireflames and so for millions of years, they retained all their pride and arrogance for being on the same level of era of birth as the First Born, Mefisto, the very Son of Darkness, himself.
They have more pride than any other races. They have more arrogance and conceit rooted from the confidence of their pedigree than anybody else!
Devil Gods are invincible!
Devil Gods are the rulers of this Universe!
And soon… very soon…… if the First Born could complete The One’s requirements, then they can rule not only this universe, but also the world of The Architects —the world where The One lives!
Only Supremes are allowed to know of that. And it is also because of this fact that they cannot think and imagine that a Supreme could be defeated by a mere verge-level quasi-Immortal who had not a speck of an idea about their lineage’s prestige.
Perhaps this wench may even have thought that Gamma was but a mere ordinary Supreme from some Scout Brigade of their armada.
They snorted fiery plumes from their large noses thinking about the bitch’s ignorance.
Thus, they thought that helping with the attack to the Grand Mansion was beneath their status. They even disdained the mere idea of it.
For them, grouping up against these mere Mortals was an insult to their lofty cachet.
They would rather laze around and watch a show than to lower their heads to help and still get the same inevitable result. It was the influence of their Emperor “Baal” The Belphegor of the Sloth.
“Oh, look, I think he’s already about to corrupt the woman.”
“Right.”
“No Mortal can escape the shackles of their inner-most hidden desires!”
“Look. There are also corruptible Terrans inside the ship who went with El Bravo’s victim.”
“Should we have some fun?”
“You three go. I’ll stay behind. I don’t feel like it.”
“Aish, you’re really The Emperor’s son.”
“Fuck off. You’re his son as well.”
“I’m at least further in the line. You’re closer to the prime family so you have more darkness blood in you than my diluted origins.”
They were already thinking that this was over and started to quarrel. One of them stood up and he made his way toward the door.
“I’ll take care of that Wizard.”
“I’ll go with the brute.”
“Mine’s that archer. What about Delta Prime?”
“F*ck you! I said I don’t feel like it. I’m still envious of that Gamma for getting the merit for this one.”
“Suit yourself.”
None of them could imagine it, but Gaia was much different than any ordinary Mortal who carried only the [memories] of their current life.
As such, when they saw, and thought, that Gamma should have succeeded… well, by that time, they have already discovered that their biggest mistake is not recognizing Siva earlier on.
It was in this moment that Delta cried out, “What? I am to support Gamma?”
There was someone from the Control Room that sent him a message, “You are to go now. That is the order of The Prince.”
“I hear you.” He spoke happily.
The line is cut and Delta grinned. He was already thinking of the merits by reinforcing Gamma with no hard work at all.
“Even if I don’t do something, just killing a bunch of them Terrans could still garner me merits. I can even get a few snacks back… huewewewe…”
It was a weird laughter, unique to the Fireflame Beasts because of their large noses.
As he walked, he began to eerily laugh and the fires on his body seethed and roiled along with it.
*****
Siva was met with an obstacle.
“It’s made of a different material. It won’t break.”
The ceiling he was trying to put a hole to, wasn’t getting any scratch even with his third bombing. It even withstood 100 quantified Lightning Bomb in one explosion!
The only thing that had happened was that the big hole he made on the floor and the wall of the path he was in just got bigger, nothing more.
“Hmmm… and the scan won’t even pierce through the area above me.”
Such phenomena is rare but it’s not impossible as there are indeed clear limitations to the [Absolute Domain] —one such limitations is when the ‘wall’ the domain was trying to get through is protected by a strong isolating magic.
Even a mere Tier-1 [Barrier Magic] can block the Absolute Domain in its current plain state.
“Meaning, the area above me is an important place to this giant warship!” an extremely lewd grin drew itself on his lips as he murmured and tapped his chin with an index.
[There are resources coming from the left, sir.]
Siva inwardly smiled as Cortana adapted the term he’s been addressing these mobs since earlier. It was indeed something to be happy about if you ask him.
He just thought that Cortana was really growing.
[Don’t worry dad, I won’t marry.]
‘Shut up.’
Unfortunately, she seems to be growing up on a different direction when it comes to her humor.
—should I lower her humor settings?
It was but a fleeting thought.
Siva doesn’t even want to know what —%— is her Humor Settings right now.
He stopped his bombardment and started to walk to the left side of the hole he made. In fact, if you look at the hole, you’d even see the city far down below since Siva had just merely gone through a straight line up while harvesting.
Just a few seconds later, he saw six Commanders bunched up together alongside other Pawns that held plasma swords and useless plasma guns.
“Hehehe…” the creepy grin on his lips broadened at the sight of them.
Siva was, in a form, actually going on a rampage.
Plasma guns were neutralized by Siva’s ‘cold aura’ so they were left with no choice but to fight on melee since all plasma discharges won’t work as long as he had that domain of bluish white smoke screen.
Of course, if they have Dark Magic with them like these Commanders, they can fight Siva either in close range or even mid-range.
Siva’s eyes shone with another weird glint and shouted at the aliens in front of him.
“Food!”
*FLINCH*
He spoke while spreading his arms wide as if to welcome a family member to his embrace.
The Commanders weren’t supposed to feel fear as they are the master and inflictor of it, but when they are faced with this Terran —this abnormally brutal and cruel Terran— they felt as if they were weak little cows in front of a hungry dinosaur.
Supposedly, Siva is just as strong as one of their Commanders but because of the [Killing Zone] and the BMA’s frightening versatility, his flexibility in combat was comparable to the weakest of the Supreme Demon Commanders.
And that is a level ‘ordinary’ Commanders cannot bridge with just pure power alone.
When Siva triggered [Killing Zone], the enemies on the lower 20 floors that he’d passed through and the “enemies” within his nearest 500m had all began to lose their minds as they were driven by their madness and trace only Siva in their senses.
Even through the walls, they instinctively knew the exact location of Siva and thus they madly rushed at his direction following the path of the many hallways, disregarding everything they were supposed to be doing… with some even trashing the walls themselves to shorten the run.
It’s like when women learn that Gucci or Chanel was doing a 70% sale of their last year’s designs.
One can only imagine the rush and chaos of it.
Aliens were trampled.
Slowpokes were crushed.
Those in the front were the leaders while those in the back are the losers. When you’re in front, you will be the first to take a bite out of Siva —the one and only prize for this madness run!
The players and NPCs who had invaded the inside of the mothership became puzzled when the mobs they were desperately fighting suddenly began a rush towards one single direction.
Even those behind them passed them through as if they were mere stone on the flooding river of maddened packs of alien predators.
Of course, no matter what it is, it was both caught in Kathleen’s cameras as well as the chat-groups and forum sites all over the two worlds.
And, of course, because of Kathleen, TDT’s daily viewership ratings skyrocketed, reaching an eye-whopping sky-high number of 37%!
She was the only Anchor inside the mothership of the alien armada!
Even if it has a 5-minute gap intended for editing and organizing the content, it still continued to be the highest viewed channel in both online and the cable channel list in the planet.
Commercial rights were even sold by the billions and albeit overpriced, the offers kept coming and had no signs of ceasing at the moment.
Especially…
Kathleen sent five cameras to follow Siva’s “walk” which will be an exclusive scoop and will be added to her collection of his adventures.
While she was covering the battle in and outside of the mothership, she was taking in documentary videos of Siva’s plight against the demons.
Nobody can recall when she’d started it, not even the author of this story, but Kathleen has already collected a few videos of Siva’s adventures and is still in the process of collecting more of it.
As much as possible, according to her, the more angle and video files of every people around Siva she has, the better the documentary will be.
She had never shown it to anyone and the editing of the content was also done by her, offline, on a computer that can never be connected to the Net.
This is what she had decided upon knowing the severity of the things she had learned so far.
She hasn’t been anchoring in the TDT channel in quite some time now, but her “scoops” of events close—or connected—to Siva are still ones of the highest viewed features of TDT-Channel… which is the reason why, even though she hasn’t shown herself in the cameras for some time now, only showing up from time to time, she was allowed to ‘play the game’ —as long as she can provide the station a bunch of these exclusive videos!
Therefore….
Apart from those people closest to Siva, she was the only person in the world who is aware of the real circumstances behind the events that rocked and shocked not only the citizens of this world of Terroa, but also of the real world who are paying attention to the happenings in this game as well.
*****
‘Storm!’
For some reason Siva loved saying that word both in his mind and verbally.
[Boss, I have a cooler suggestion. Why don’t you change the verbal incantation for ‘Storm’ into a more ‘cooler’ one? It’s so plain that when a strong enemy hears it, he won’t even feel scared of it and might even laugh at the lame-level of it.]
Siva could feel his brows twitching and he bid a narrow eye to the side… to the smiling Cortana.
He was sure she knew how much effort he had put to naming all his ‘non-system’ abilities so he felt a bit —secretly— insulted.
‘Do you have a suggestion?’
Nothing’s wrong if he asks for suggestions. It was her purpose, after all.
[Yes.]
‘Hoh? Let’s hear it.’
[Slowly raise your hand from the side, as if you’re inviting the enemies but then suddenly clench it to a fist and throw invisible dust to the enemies and say like a real boss: ‘Chop and dice... Zenbon Zakura Kageyoshi’. Isn’t that cool or what?]
‘…’
[Huh? Boss… your mind. It suddenly went blank.]
Siva’s mind indeed went blanked. In fact, his soul was actually about to leave from his mouth.
Is it possible for a human’s brain to stop all of its functions for a moment as a reaction to something so shockingly amazing yet absurd?
No. Medically speaking, that’s equivalent to being brain dead. But now, Siva’s mind was so shocked and so overwhelmed that all processes clashed in each other, resulting in a lull of all neural circuits in his brain.
The reason for this reaction is… he felt defeated that he wanted to cry yet his strong will did not allow it… resulting in the supernova in his head.
—it was so cool…!!
(T.T)
—NOOOO~!!!!
Apparently, his monstrous ego did not allow it.
‘Storm! Storm is fine.’
[File Folder created. File Folder now renamed to Stubbornness Due To Pride. Collecting data…]
‘Delete! Delete that folder! What data?!!’
Evidently, the entire debacle between the two had transcribed silently on his mind.
Currently, Siva is ‘manually’ controlling the blades with his fingers; waving them, flicking them, and even occasionally pointing at the Commanders to deliver a pressuring stab at their slowly crumbling passive defensive position.
Although they can still utilize abilities similar to the [Forms] of BlackTech, their Dark Magic wasn’t the least bit effective because they can’t even close the distance between them and Siva, much less deal an attack to him when he’s 100+ meters away from their group.
Still….
Though they were ‘food’, Siva couldn’t relax when he knew that he could only lower their defenses and not actually lower their overall strength.
However, it’s not as if he was left with nothing to do while slowly chipping away the resistance of these six Demon Commanders.
“There are so many foods here! Hehehe!”
