Chapter 393: Lightning Bomb
================================
Cortana had already recorded over 13 different types of Fire-Elemental Alignment races in the time that he had spent in the mothership.
—that is excluding the “Aviators” which is unique and yet part of all the subspecies of the Fireflame Beasts that piloted those Mobile Suits outside——
——and yes, the Fireflame Beasts themselves.
The smallest of these ‘subspecies’ are about his chest’s size, the biggest are around four meters.
‘The higher the floor I go, the more the hallways become bigger and wider…’
Before, there were only around 3m-wide hallways but now, he was on a hallway 6m-large.
‘Adding the indestructible floor above, it’s safe to say that even in the Devil Gods, discrimination is a norm and that the bigger you are, the stronger a force you are, and the more level of authority you are entitled to impose. But that did not seem to apply to Sefirah and most especially to Invidious who are the shortest of the six Devils.’
Hundreds of Siva’s palm-sized blades struck like a real omnipresent storm.
Every blade weighed 1/4 of an entire Cyclone’s overall weight. But adding the momentum created by the Absolute Domain, plus the absolute angling and frightening accuracy on each and every strike of the blades, it all summed up into countless bits and pieces of nightmarish experience… like a tiny Cyclone smashing straight to the enemies.
One tiny mistake meant a fatal disaster to them all.
The six Demon Commanders in front of him could only defend themselves from his omni-directional heavyweight attacks.
There are those persistent ones that functioned like a pneumatic hammer, as there are those that functioned like a spinning turbine in combination to an assembly of floating blades. Either they’re chopped to pieces or drilled a hole into, or sliced and diced, or killed in one shot… the fact is, they are indeed left only to defend themselves. There are so many of these dancing, floating blades that even if only 60% of the total number was used on the six of them, it was still scary since there are at least 500 of them with just a quick count.
After all, they are still ‘living beings’ and they, too, fear for the safety of their lives.
Meanwhile, while the numbers of Siva’s deranged targets are equal to the number of blades he had allocated to them, Siva only chose to defend the nearest 20m radius from his static position inside a steady and passive domain of rotating blades.
All around him were either countless chunks of meat or the blood of hundreds, maybe thousands, of them Demons.
With Cortana, enemy detection was not a problem while her embedded FCS function, boosted by a precise data of position and displacement of all the enemies, had made sure that the blades are all guided in a perfectly accurate and fatal strike each and every time.
This ‘accuracy’ in movement and attack made sure that Siva’s ‘targets’ could only defend… or die.
With the six Demon Commanders surviving this long proved that they are indeed ‘Bosses’ that a single normal player of RPG: Terroa are already hard pressed to surviving an encounter with, much less actually hunting one successfully.
In a way, she was Siva’s lost ability to cast magic…
…the phenomena of a miracle!
And with that as a given, since it’s on the nearest 20m of Siva, every kill directly enters his Inventory and is sorted, catalogued, classified, and arranged according to their features and characteristics that he knows of.
Siva’s knowledge in the ‘past life’ was utilized thru Cortana’s 500YB worth of processing capability!
“What’s with these things?!!”
“It’s like they have their own minds!”
“My Dark Arts are neutralized! I can’t counter it.”
“He’s the one controlling it. Kill him!”
“How?!! We can’t even get a breather here!”
“I’m starting to feel tired. I can’t recover my peak state with these things pestering me.”
The other blades ‘bombarded’ the Commanders as they, being Agents of Corruption, had some sort of immunity to the current level of the Killing Zone he was able to display which gave them the ability to somehow avoid being deprived of reason and the capability of thinking…... prolonging their suffering.
They can dodge the seemingly random trajectories of the blades aiming to take their lives and though the Commanders can’t counter, Siva also can’t put his all to kill them as he was still ‘harvesting’.
What he did, however, is to at least do his best to put in ten or so blades every now and then so he can wound them and slowly bleed their strengths.
After five minutes of ‘wounding’ the Commanders, through their seemingly relentless defenses using the power of manipulated Black Element, one of them finally let up his defenses and let through a blade that stuck a lethal wound on his neck.
It was but one attack but it was enough to enlarge the gap created and the other blades followed the path, reducing the Commander into smithereens.
“““Huron!”””
The other Commanders were devastated. Just one opening and their companion was reduced to piles of meat and shredded flesh. It was gruesome and it was disgusting but none of the people here were ignorant of the brutality of a battlefield and so they all immediately accepted the death and blamed the enemy who caused the loss of their brother.
“Kill h im!”
“Kill his family!”
“Kill everyone he loves!”
“I will eat him slowly!”
“You are not allowed to die a swift death!”
Apart from the Commander’s Black Ball, which went straight to Siva’s inventory everything that was him had been reduced to shredded goulash in a single second.
(AN: excuse me, for those eating)
Five more to go, but…
[Boss, I’ve detected someone very strong coming your way right now.]
Cortana didn’t display a visual image. Rather, what she did was to render a real-time imaging of a red neon figure darting through the distance on a level below the floor he was standing at.
—all thanks to the omnipresent Absolute Domain.
There was a label indicating energy levels and the possible threat level, distance from Siva, and a few characteristically informative data and predictions to the possible opponent’s biology and fighting style spoke of this particular being as a “Supreme” and even one of the stronger ones at that.
Moreover, Siva got the feeling that he needed this guy alive than dead.
“Hehe…” a creepy yet violent-indicating smile was drawn on his face behind his mask.
[Ah, these thoughts again. Boss, I gotta admit. You really are similar but also different from the boss I first met.]
‘Hmp! Do not get me wrong. I am the one and the same person you’ve met. I’ve always been a man who walked in a straight line. If a mountain stands in my path, I’ll demolish it. And even if I have to be cruel and destroy a country to save Baron, then I will be their most frightening nightmare.’
[And that’s the reason why you’re the same and also a bit different.]
‘How then?’
[Your methods, boss. The earlier Rex only thought of using brute strength while still playing by the rules while you, on the other hand, have your own set of rules…… (and even a dictionary, cough…)]
‘What was that?’
[What?]
‘The last part?’
[You have your own rules.]
‘No. After that. I heard you murmur something.’
[Oh? That you’re extraordinary, boss?]
‘…’
Recalling that Cortana’s personality development is dependent on Siva’s thought processes, Siva could only narrow his eyes while staring at the girl that’s whistling and kicking something on the ground that there was even flying dusts only they can see.
—this girl is really becoming something…
Siva was sure that she won’t betray him but he was not sure if in the long run, he’d be able to endure her twisted sense of humourism.
Nevertheless, Siva also knew that if Cortana wasn’t this annoying and wasn’t stopping him from fully diving from his overly murderous and ever morbid sadistic tendencies using her lame sense of humor now and then, who knew if he’d actually be putting himself on a trap… or even against a very strong opponent he can’t defeat yet?
He wasn’t strong like before and that’s the reason why, despite being annoying, Siva really appreciate Cortana’s existence.
In a few words, the monster rushing towards Siva is a centaur with a horse-like lower body and the upper body of an orc, with tusks!
Through the crowd of crazed monsters, he plowed through using his massive size and brushed off all that stood before him.
Aside from that, the red neon figure was holding a large warhammer comparable in size to the Mjolnir and he used this weapon to make for himself.
It was another Legendary Equipment! Siva was sure of it.
“Eat him!”
“Kill him!”
“Devour him!”
“Crush him to pieces!”
The attraction of the Killing Zone was unique and it has the ability to cancel out the bloodlust these Imperialists had towards Siva for defiling the name of their great emperor.
Right now, they are nothing more than just violent beasts that had no control over their intellects.
Their minds were clogged by the ‘attraction’ Siva had in the very core of their spirits. And despite in the camp with innate sloth and laziness, they were still subjected to the very core of their needs and desires as ‘beasts’ and monsters.
Siva was like the BBQ to them as for the Humans.
He was an irresistible food!
The fact that they were able to be brainwashed is proof that their level of existence was nothing high and is in fact only at the level of S-Rank Monsters.
Not only he smelled delicious, the Killing Zone had also provoked their monstrous instincts and made them nothing more than hungry fire beasts!
(AN: grammar monsters, ‘fire beasts’ is different in both usage and meaning from ‘Fireflame Beasts’ I used as a proper noun. The latter is a [proper noun] while the former is a generalized noun. Just to answer your future queries. Hehe…)
“A guest is coming so I won’t be playing with you all now. Please die.”
When Siva declared it, he ‘released’ the constricted Plasma Smoke Screen around his body, and let it spread throughout the two directions of the hallway he was currently standing in, letting it seeped thru the levels below, spreading like some natural fog over a mountain.
At the same time, he also ‘refilled’ his ‘blue aura’ as the old one spread with the help of the smallest of parts of the BMA towards the seemingly endless tides of crowded hungry demons.
The players have also sensed the presence of this ‘blue smoke’ and since they were aware that Siva was somewhere in this event in Jeremiah, they had immediately connected the dots and hurried to get far away from the smoke as quickly as possible.
Kathleen Brew’s eyes lit up in ecstasy.
“Good thing I chose special cameras to follow him.”
The demons… alas… they aren’t aware of who he was so they let him spread his ‘smoke screen’ that filled 3m of the 6m high-and-wide ceiling.
Visibility dropped and only the silhouettes and the faint shapes of the shadows of the demons that’re still charging towards Siva had remained.
‘2500?’
[Yes boss.]
Siva smiled eerily at the report. To fill the 500m large area of the Killing Zone, he spent 2500 PSS-Grenade and spread it up to 20 floors below him.
Aside from the area above, he was actually quite interested how big of a blast would result in this upcoming explosion.
Just thinking about it makes him feel… somewhat excited like some dark-haired girl with an eyepatch.
(AN: cough… cough…)
[Lightning Bomb] is a non-system ability of his and in fact, every player in Terroa can utilize it if they have two necessary things with them;
(1) The money to buy and use these items
(2) The ability to neutralize the resulting electrical discharge
Unlike the usual ‘bomb’ effect, [Lightning Bomb] is a pure ‘lightning’ that travels on ground instead of the air. The resulting electrical discharge had the power half of an actual lightning strike generated by a collision of positive and negative ions.
You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.
(AN: technical explanation omitted to avoid brain hemorrhage for some readers.)
That collision produces an explosion and although there is no actual fuel burning, the resulting burst of ‘lightning’ will burn the air particles alongside the immediate surroundings, thus the sonic boom that results in the space fluctuating violently as a result of it being emptied by its contents and refilled up in but an instant.
Of course, since it was artificially made, it can also be controlled and even manipulated.
Siva was able to manipulate it but he was still yet to fully control it. He can only manipulate where the explosion will happen and stay safe through the protection of the BMA.
“Hehehe…” he was looking at the ‘Supreme’ that’s been rushing towards his direction. “I wonder if a Supreme will die it was hit directly.”
Killing Zone is active and Siva knew that the alien is aware that he was already inside his domain.
[The closer he gets to us, the thicker the crowd of maddened mob, and the slower he becomes. If he was stupid, he’d rush without stopping.]
‘It’s natural. With this limited space, congestion is inevitable. Unless seriously wounded or I drop the Killing Zone, or I run out of Mana, they’ll never be able to escape me.”
The [Killing Zone] is supposed to be a [PASSIVE] ability and shouldn’t be controlled, and should only activate when necessary conditions were met.
Its conditions for its activation was dependent on Bloodlust —the target of his hate, those he treat as his enemies. It consumes Mana every second and it as ideal as its effects are, it wasn’t an ability that cowardly weaklings are fit to have because when it is triggered, it attracts all the aggro of monsters in its effective ‘zone’.
Before, the [Killing Zone] only had a 100m distance with a total of a 200m-wide domain that attracts all the monsters but when he became an S-Ranked Hunter through killing, the domain expanded and it now has a staggering 1km-wide area of effect.
All S-Ranked Monsters within that area will entirely focus their attention to Siva and attack him until he is dead. Now, however, even Dragons are included in the list of creatures that will unconditionally hunt him down.
That’s why Siva only uses it on decisive moments to deal the lethal blow. He was controlling his urge to kill each and every time.
Siva continued the ‘harvest’ as he waited for the Supreme to enter his 100m radius that continued to trample the thick crowd of crazed demons.
When he saw that the Supreme had entered the specified distance from him…
The ‘screen’ had already spread close to 600m.
‘Light it up.’ Siva gave the thought command and made sure to expose the [core] of the BMA.
[Fire in the ship!]
CRACKLE~
Following the sound of thunder is an explosion…
……followed by a world-shaking trembling of their ship. To the Supreme Commanders, especially to the people in the Control Room, including their Imperial Prince, it was the start of their nightmare.
*****
The mothership rocked with a loud explosion, the screens went static and the cameras that should’ve been monitoring Siva had all went blank.
Even ‘The Prince’ was flabbergasted.
“What was that explosion?!!”
*****
Heller, Cramer, and Loni were all fighting the three Supremes that went to encounter them and from start to finish, they were in a difficult bind.
And then… they felt the ground shook along that one loud explosion.
They’ve heard a few series of them earlier and had thought that it might be Siva, but this last explosion is rather special… because the tremor was clearly felt and the sound of it was rattling their eardrums.
Even the Supreme Demon Commanders they were fighting had to turn their heads back and displayed a look of worry.
They were considerably far away from Siva but the fighting from his location still reached even to their location. It goes to show just how terrifying just that one explosion has been.
On the other hand, Heller smiled while Cramer bid his opponent a loud laughter.
Loni remained cold and concentrated her attention to fighting her opponent.
They resumed the fight but it was clear that there was agitation and haste on their three opponents’ attacks, so, the fight quickly escalated in intensity.
*****
“What is that explosion…?!!”
There was a visibly deep dent on the wall and in it was El Bravo, the Supreme Demon Commander, plastered like a decoration with his body serving as a cast on the wall.
Albeit his pitiful appearance, he was only wounded very lightly and there are no major injuries. Yet he felt his entire body shook as there are still the after effects of the stunning electricity.
“What is that thing?!!!”
He felt enraged.
Everything around him had been reduced to piles and chunks of dead meat and dented alien metals.
Only he had survived and he was still stunned in spite of the time that had passed.
It has already been more than 10 seconds!
He looked up and he felt his heart tighten. There was a large hole in the ship… AGAIN!!
Apparently, he was blasted off a good distance, at least 40m from where he last recalled he stood on his four horsy feet.
Just one glance at the hole was enough to estimate it close to at least 300m wide and in the middle of that hole was an ‘ice spirit’ that continue to release his cool blue aura that cancelled the natural ‘hot air’ of their mothership, resulting in a contrast isolation in the immediate area around the man.
His smoky aura drifted downwards and also even began to spread sideways to enter the other floors as if they were being guided by something.
With his unchained senses as a Chaos God-level existence —the supposed ‘normal’ strength of all Supreme Demon Commanders, he could make out tiny metallic fragments as small as 10mm that acted as guides to the smoke particles.
El Bravo was enraged to find out who the cause of that explosion was.
“It’s you! IT’S YOU!!! You destroyed our ship!”
“You’re too noisy.”
Instead of a warrior-like reply, he received a bored-sounding tone of voice from the Terran ‘ice spirit’.
Not only did he dismiss EL Bravo —an all-powerful Supreme— he also sounded mockingly and full of unhampered disregard to his almighty being.
El Bravo didn’t even think that attacking Terroa was a crime and that they are the righteous existences between their races… that ruling the universe was their patrimony and that they have all proper claims.
It wasn’t plainly arrogance. It was the disposition of the ‘Superior Race’ mentality bred to all creatures born as a pure Devil God Race citizen.
Within another perspective, it’s like the mind of the nobility when they are talking to a commoner of the kingdom. They demanded to be respected and for the ‘peasants’ to bow their heads in shame when in their great presence.
“Noisy? NOISY?!! H-How dare you! HOW DARE YOU CALL ME NOISY!!! I am the Great El Bravo Supreme! Crowned Commander of 9178th Legion of the LAGRAM Armada! 10,925,884th prince of His Majesty, The Emperor, “Baal”, Great Belphegor of the Sloth! How dare you call a scion of the Great Emperor noisy?!!”
“…”
“Pant… Pant… Pant…”
“Like I said, you’re too noisy.”
“!!”
EL Bravo was panting after he had screamed his outburst of rage. And yet, although he had finished introducing himself, not only did he NOT receive a proper reply, or nary an introduction, he was even scorned and spoken to as noisy again by the same Terran bastard who wrecked their ship.
Blasphemy to their Devil God dignity!
Blasphemy to their status as king!
Should he puke blood from anger?
Should he just let this insult go?
“Y-You….”
El Bravo was born after Ragnarok so he should be aware of the details of the event.
Of the Six Generals, Mefisto, Lust, and Sefirah had managed to survive the Ragnarok, but they were all heavily injured that they even lost their real bodies and had to become a parasite and rely on the other living creatures to survive… until the “War of The Braves” 56 years ago that ultimately led to Mefisto dying, and the two others having been sealed with the other escaping Generals inside the [cage].
—it was all done by Siva.
But the ‘Siva’ in front of El Bravo right now was a different existence and is very far to the image of the “Nightmare of Ragnarok” and the “Devil Slayer” that everyone knew of.
And because Siva didn’t bother with introductions, El Bravo wasn’t even aware of his name!
All he knew is that this Terran was a huge arrogant bastard, who had the audacity to swear the name of their mighty Emperor, and even destroyed his ship-avatar... their emperor’s own property!
The Terran does not even look at him eye to eye.
It was this ‘arrogance’ of this Terran that made El Bravo truly enraged right now.
His Darkness Mana dormant inside his body began to surge and with the power of their bloodline, he began to connect to a ‘vow’ —a spell unique to the Devil Gods Race.
“I… WILL… KILL… YOUUUUUU!!!”
El Bravo was boiling with fury.
The man looked bulky in his armour and while the area around him isolated the ‘plasma particles’ that serves as the ideal atmosphere to the Devil Gods, there still were countless ‘parts’ that moved here and there, collecting the ‘resources’, and fading in a fixed distance of 20m away from him.
“How dare you!!” all this time, he’s been spouting words in the Devil Tongue. He didn’t even find it surprising that Siva was talking to him on the same manner.
Terran language was different from theirs and only a true Devil God —or a race on the same level as theirs— was able to understand them.
But Siva understood them. He was an Apollo Tribe player and wasn’t even close to a True Immortal so he shouldn’t be capable of knowing it —and yet he did… and he smiled looking at the Devil in front of him whose anger was incited purposely.
[Boss is so evil.]
Siva purposely showed the Devil his ‘harvest’ since he was aware that of all the Generals, the race with the highest conceit and arrogance next to the ‘High and Mighty’ [Maleficent Devil Gods], where Sefirah was the Queen, was the Fireflame Beasts, the race with the innate gift of Fire-elemental Alignment.
‘Let him burn his Mana. These conceited mongrels are the easiest prey to be materials for our project.’
Cortana looked indifferent but commented, [Boss is really making me work like a man.]
‘…’
[By the way, I’ve already completed an initial setup of a formal Modern and Ancient Terran Vocabulary and Local Speech Dictionary for dissemination. I’m not a true person but even I can tell, sir, that when compared to the real world’s languages, the Terran Language —both modern and ancient— that you’re aware of is really a major breakthrough. If you even publish this, sir, you are bound to get a Nobel Prize as a minimum for this contribution to Humanity.]
Of course, the source of this ‘language’ was Siva’s present and past lives in ‘this’ Universe.
Cortana had the ability to read his thoughts through their ‘unique’ bond and so she can record and also archive them. With Siva’s prompt, she was easily able to compile these words and form a complete dictionary —even extending as an official language that can be applied to translation softwares eligible to a formal consideration for real-world application.
‘What about the Mitran and Devil Gods Language?’
[The information compiled aren’t enough yet to be considered as a full vocabulary. You need to speak using them as a language of conversation in order for me get more data and compile enough words to create an official lexis of it.]
‘The problem is, only Gaia is aware of the language in the entirety of the current Terroa.’
[As for the other language, we need this Devil God for that experiment.]
‘I’m working on it.’
How is it possible for Siva to know so many of this world’s languages?
It’s because he was ‘once’ a [God] and not just any other God, or, technically speaking, Siva’s soul is of a higher status.
Aside from him recalling all of his [memories] after Ragnarok, he remembers ‘all’ the things regarding his past as an Immortal but not his time as a [God].
(AN: Please read [1])
He ‘was’ one of the [Trinity Gods]… the apex of all of the existences in this universe! His existence is even higher than Mefisto’s, the supposed Tainted One and the purest of Devil Gods, the [First Born].
Siva is ‘unique’ in this entire universe and perhaps, there wouldn’t be a second ‘him’ that will emerge ever again.
That’s why he was beyond the boundaries of all of the languages in this universe, he was beyond the limits of culture and origins… in fact, perhaps, he is even beyond the sense of division…
—all because he was Unique!
He was everything in this universe —in the sense that if we put it in ancestral descent, he represents all the highest existences of the Terran Universe; a Mortal, an Immortal, and then a God…. and even a Devil God.
Siva ‘was’ once a Mortal... a Mithrandir of Mitra, the by-then Stronghold of the Immortals, entitled with the honor as the “Protector of the Stars”.
Then, he was an Immortal —a “Mortal” God.
(AN: please read [2])
Lastly, he was hailed and became a Trinity God.
But a Trinity God was unique. He, Siva, became a [Trinity God] when he was halfway corrupted by the Darkness.
(AN: Please read [3])
He holds the power of both sides and he is aware of it; he knew that anyone who fell to his hands, on both the Gods and Devil Gods, will be denied their chance to be reborn and go back to The Cycle, the souls he took will be forever lost in this world.
Because of this power, Siva was dubbed the “Siva of The Destruction” —one who can destroys souls!
He was both a taboo and a legend.
After the Ragnarok, the surviving number of Gods and Devil Gods were so little that information about him was scarce, if not extinct.
Those who personally knew of his existence were either dead or injured and were quietly recovering, so they all chose to seal themselves and elected to appear only when they are sure that Siva is either sane or dead.
He even locked himself on an island in an unknown part of the universe (before being found again by the person he least expected to find him) and thus information about him became even more scarce that future generations after Ragnarok almost knew nothing of him.
“Ngeeeeehehehe….”
[Boss’s laughter is creepy.]
‘Shut up. I’m making an impression.’
“Ngyahahaha… haha… hahaha… haha… hahaha!!”
His laughter shook his shoulders. It was creepy in many ways but it was intimidating and it was the effect he wanted to make.
Siva’s smile, despite being hidden in the darkness of his cursed state and the 90% covering of his edgy Helm, had a certain effect to it that warned a ‘Supreme’ like Commander El Bravo of danger.
He could feel it on his bones. His instincts were telling him that this man has a mordacious capacity to injure him physically and even psychologically!
—is this fear?
El Bravo thought.
But instead of feeling fearful, he felt insulted. How the hell did he even think about fearing a Terran?
And yet because he was new and unfamiliar with it, since he had never felt this way before, he couldn’t figure out what it was and so perceived it as just a warning of sorts because he was surprised that a mere mortal from this cursed planet was capable of inflicting serious damage to the almighty Emperor’s Avatar Warship!
—right!
—I am only surprised!
—damn you!!! Surprising me like that?!!
He was already enraged but El Bravo felt another level of fury created in his rage gauge.
Furthermore, seeing that the man continued to get all his brethren’s morbid remains as if they’re all but resources, the cries of his instincts were soon put in a forgotten corner by his burning anger.
“I’LL KILL YOU!!!”
A mighty roar rung from his throat and his nose spat a fire plume as he forced his body to cancel the lingering stunning effect of the Lightning Bomb he squarely received with his body.
If it wasn’t for the fact that he was baptized by the Darkness Mana and that his body was that of one of the mighty ‘Supremes’, he would have been one of these pieces and chunks of flesh lying around him right now.
POOM!!!
A soundless explosion rung in the fragments of space as black miasmic Mana —a vapor as thick as candle smoke— erupted from his body, melting the wall he was in, destroying the metal cast of his body where he was embedded.
The black vapor rotated around him and formed a few humanoid figures as he stood up, his eyes jet black from anger, his orcish nose exhaling thick fiery plumes that changed colors from red to black then black to red alternatingly, giving an impression of this Mana having two properties.
“Fires of Corruption!” El Bravo roared.
POOHM!
Another muffled explosion that can only be felt by the skin and not by the ears exploded as his Dark Mana completely manifested the two humanoid shapes and began to form four more, and another layer behind it, with another behind the third and…
—it was a procession of humanoid figures!
Eight layers in all.
“I stake my very life. I will not let myself die unless I kill you myself.”
Siva was delighted by the sight of this.
“Hoooh?”
But his reaction felt more insulting than amused.
This form is the highest state of a [Supreme] and in this form they can unleash the limits of their power, perhaps even evolve and become a General, the same level as an “Elder God” in the future.
Siva remembered what they called it: [Release].
Because releasing their powers carry great risks to their bodies and future evolution. It’s like a ‘vow’ a soul cannot go against from. A Devil who made the vow to accomplish a task only has two endings; the first is that they will receive a great boost and will be given merit if they succeed; or they die and the essence of what makes them a Devil God is stuck on their bodies and is free for the taking.
Meaning, if they failed to accomplish the task they ‘vowed’ to do when using the right to [Release] the full power of their essence, they become a golden resource —a corpse with a rare Devil Orb within.
Siva smiled wider when he saw El Bravo evoke his right to [Release] his power.
Kill or be killed.
El Bravo was aware of the price when using this ‘right’ but he didn’t care. He was mad.
He was very incensed!
“Kill him.” his voice carried a sense of dark holiness and El Bravo pointed at Siva, giving out an order.
The [limitations] set by the planet was lifted and he rose back to the peak of his power —on the same level of power as a Chaos God!
BAM! ~HURAH!
BAM! ~HURAH!!
BANG! HURAH~!!!
A single step and a ‘chant’ were released in the air.
The humanoid figures —the legion manifested on the release of his Darkness Mana— started to march towards Siva holding their spears, swords, and hammer. They were knights of some forgotten era, summoned from the world of the dead to fight another war.
They were all Undead.
It was an Undead Legion!
An [Undead] was a basic ‘familiar’ summoned from the power of Darkness and Corruption.
With every step taken by this legion, there was this chant echo in the air. The clamoring sound of their armors were dull and blunt, and albeit they stepped in the air as if it was ground, there was still that one sound that echoed with a chant of a legion.
It was both eerie and bizarrely interesting.
“Go!”
El Bravo, bathed in a tornado of black fiery mana, pointed his finger at Siva and the slowly marching legion of shadowy humanoid figures —slaves that El Bravo pulled out from hell— who were ‘stepping’ in an invisible platform in midair, all dashed towards the target of their master’s fury.
There was even the sound of their marching as if it was in some open grounds!

Strength without a brain is just plain violence!
================================
[1] I reiterated this before in past chapters; now we are slowly being aware of the life Siva had lived during the unfortunate aftermath of the break-in incident in Sweetzerland four years ago inside the Terran Universe. But now that we’ve learned of it, we also became aware that there is a “time” in his [memories] that’re still unclear even to our current MC… and those are his memories during his time being in the [God] status, during the time of his self-inflicted isolation in a mysterious island where you geniuses already knows where. xD
[2] remember the difference I once mentioned? I am slightly elaborating it here. This “mortal” in the “Mortal God” term is used both as an adjective and also a kind of modifier for a correct ‘Proper Noun’ that distinguishes Siva among the other Immortals.
[3] to remind you guys from the scattered details I already gave away regarding the events during and after “Ragnarok” and “War of the Braves”, our MC was clearly corrupted by Mefisto. Few of such proofs are the events in Loire where his curse first acted up; then the precursor to the ‘Darkest Dawn’ event in Dragona where Siva’s mental situation is temporarily affected and Mefisto emerged from his ‘soul’; then the visions and Terra’s words back in the dungeon of Apus Epirus and why he went on another rampage; and, for the geniuses out there with sharp minds, ya’ll already connected the dots with the clue I left in chapter 137, right? What and who Siva is ‘after’ he was corrupted should have been very obvious from Volume 2. But, well, you think of the rest as it’s an assignment. Xp
