Chapter 465: From The Bottom Once Again
================================
Kyle flung his arm up and smashed Siva at the metal ceiling then he flung him to his left, throwing him towards another wall.
Siva left a dent on the metal wall and just as he was about to pull himself up, he was planted there yet again as Kyle punched him with more force.
It was punishment he was just at the edge of not being able to accept.
It can even be said that the Blue Falcon Armor’s defenses was what saved him from his complete obliteration.
That punch carried with it an explosion of Mana.
Kyle’s [Fist Arts] erupted forth with the power a Land Dragon was famous for.
A large hole tore through the ship’s innards right after the punch was released, followed by a loud explosion, and then the rending of the engines and the metal walls.
The warship was broken from within!
Even with Glandanium Alloy as material, it did not hold a candle against the full powered attack of a God-level existence.
The warship’s engines were decimated and the walls and the supporting pillars were blasted forth as Siva went through one metal wall after another until he actually went through them all, blasting off on the other side of the warship.
Kyle followed thru and left behind an explosion as the warship was ruptured, sending metal debris in all possible directions.
Probes from all parties were around the battlefield and although they didn’t see what occurred inside the warship, just the fact that these two’s fight had destroyed a warship spoke lots of their destructive powers already.
Many felt their bodies being drenched in sweat.
Is this still part of the game?
Just being able to know of a fight like this was an honor enough, not to mention that they’re actually at the crust of all of it.
The sight of Siva falling diagonally towards the city could be seen and Kyle, covered in a bright yellow draconic aura, was following right after him.
Boom… BOOM! …………BOOM!!!
Step, step, step…
Siva was flying at such speed that one could only imagine just how strong the attack he received to send him flying like that.
It even that rent that warship apart from the inside!
Kyle followed after him as every step he took left exploding sounds, breaking the physical barriers of the wind.
His speed actually matched the Terran projectile.
“I’ll crush you!” Kyle hissed menacingly and went on to grab Siva by the leg.
Siva used this chance to catch his breath as he swallowed another vial of red potion, looking at Kyle who grabbed his leg —or tried to— as space rippled below Kyle with another artillery shell fired at point blank range at him.
That was the third from the last artillery shell.
Kyle was surprised as the attack hit his leg. There was an explosion and he lost his balance with the power in the impact, making him roll adjacent to the 90th degree from the horizon.
“TERRAAAAAAAAAN!!!”
Kyle flipped in the air, hurting, and his world went in a circle as yet another Siva appeared and dealt him another full swing blow in the head.
BOOM!!
The Godhammer mercilessly smashed him back into the city. He pierced a low-rise building and a made a trench in the paved road, ploughing it like a farmer, and then rolling off in the air to hit one last building before stopping.
Debris flew and only then came falling from the 130+ meter trench that he made.
“I AM NOT WEAK!!!” came Siva’s growl.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!”
BOOM!
CRASH!!
Kyle jumped out of the building, crushing it with his yellow aura that exploded along with a crater that resulted from the counter-force of his jump.
He punched out five times but Siva wasn’t there when he saw it all in clarity.
Kyle hit something but it wasn’t his target.
The target shattered into many tiny dark blue parts and pieces, but it wasn’t Siva.
His eyes went wide as he realized. He looked up.
Siva was above him!
“HAH!”
The Godhammer squarely hit his head and Kyle smashed to the ground —no!
Before he could even hit the ground, Tai Long was miraculously already there and with the Lancet Imperious, a 360 degree swing, it hit Kyle in the spine.
“GAH!!”
It wasn’t a killing blow but it was painful still.
Yet before Kyle could even turn around for his revenge, Siva appeared beside “Tai Long” and the Godhammer in his hand was swung, hitting him full in the chest, sending him flying skywards.
And yet, not even 40m upwards from the force of the attack, Tai Long was already there to meet him with another 360 swing.
Kyle’s mind was in circles and he was hit in the stomach, bending his body like a giant “C”.
But split second later—
Kyle’s right flank was hit with something sharp and also hard… the Sword Master was there to meet him in a counter momentum attack.
“ARGH!!!”
Kyle cried in agony. These attacks weren’t deadly but their potency and accuracy was hitting him at places where it hurt the most —near the liver and that lasting bleeding injury that Siva gave earlier.
But before Kyle could even go a meter diagonally from the Fire Sword’s attack, Siva was already at him, the Godhammer smashing him at his head once again.
This was Siva’s [Omni Slash]!
“GWAA—”
Before he could even completely cry from all the pain of the punishment, Tai Long was already on him and the Lancet Imperious hitting his thick skin on the right flank.
He rolled two times before the Fire Sword slashed at him once again —towards Siva who had already finished his beginning stance with a black sword in his hand in a low-sword stance.
“Cortana.”
[Ready!]
Siva launched himself towards Kyle.
[Focus] was activated.
Siva vanished like the wind and one second later, he appeared last with six wounds on Kyle’s body.
This was [Kamaitachi].
Kyle’s face twisted at the pain but he didn’t have the time to scream or even shudder in pain since at the next instant, Lancet Imperious already met his right flank from behind and the Fire Sword met his left flank.
Yet before he could wince at the sharp pain, Siva smashed him with a 180 swing of the Godhammer towards the Acolyte-filled part of the city
CRASH!!!
Another crater and loud explosion but Siva was on a roll as his mind was focused solely on dealing the greatest of damage at the given time.
He blinked to follow and from his hand appeared the dull-red sword-lance. Siva threw the Lancet Imperious that had a few small parts of the BMA attached to it for additional momentum.
“HOW DARE Y—GWAH!!”
Just in time, Kyle jumped out of the crater with a loud roar and met the spear at his chest, sending him back to the crater with Siva in tow.
Blue smoke erupted again followed by another loud thunderclap echoing across every direction.
“I AM NOT WEAK!!!”
—a simple reason to flip but Siva was seriously insulted and hurt by being called as such.
His pride bled at every letter of it.
Through the issuing clouds and smoke, something flew off from it —Kyle—clutching his left chest, a second hole was leaking red blood in it.
“You injured the Great Kyle!!!”
Kyle was really mad as he roared hatefully. He was retreating to catch his breath. Siva was just so intense that he seemed to not even be breathing.
And yet just before the second passed, another humanoid projectile followed Kyle while he made his escape. It was Siva. He was carrying with him the Godhammer in a backhanded stance while flying up —no, he was blinking rapidly!
“Bastard. BASTARD!!! You hurt me!”
Kyle roared his anger and then pulled his hands to the side and clapped with an almighty flow of his Mana radiating bright yellow lights that exploded into a swirling storm.
CLAP~!!
The sound of the clap echoed in every direction and seemed to delete all noises aside from it.
What came with it, however, was a blanketing gold Mana that spread around the two of them, with at least a hundred meters in size with Kyle centering the entire phenomenon.
Then, the echoing sound came back not from all directions but from above —a thundering noise of a hurricane, a clap of thunder, a golden realm.
“HAH!”
As if the world froze at that moment, the sound of Kyle’s one cry covered everything as gold-yellow coloured Mana erupted from his body —no, it was actually coming from right palm!
This golden-yellow light of Mana flattened the space, buildings, and the poor souls below the two fighters.
Kyle pressed the palm at Siva’s direction whose altitude was diagonally below him.
“HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!”
Following this action, Kyle’s roar became lengthy and louder, a monstrous amount of pressure was released and crushed all resistance beneath that one single palm attack.
Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road.
Even the area of the attack expanded as seconds went past one by one.
It was one of the still-undiscovered features of the game —the [Arts] that NPCs are capable of.
Game-wise, it was yet to be unlocked by Players.
Those with weaker constitution were crushed and died on the spot regardless of whether they are ally or foe, and those with stronger bodies fell to their knee, looking up in defiance of this unfair level of absolute oppression.
Siva was also not spared and he fell down like a rock from outer space, into a crater of his shape, his face facing the sky and eyes glaring at Kyle.
Kyle pressed his right hand down at Siva again from their distance of 200+ meters, and the yellow light from the surroundings focused its might in the crater area that Siva fell.
BOOM!!
The exploding reaction as if it was fired by a large cannon; Siva’s area dropped a few meters.
~BOOM!!!
Another press of his palm and another explosion, the area around Siva dropped again with another few meters.
~BOOOOOM!!!
“Hah…!!”
Kyle pressed his hand three times, suppressing the space and gravity. His posture is like that of a Buddha, his left palm supported his right, just six inches above it, while his right hand pushed in its entirety towards the ground like an actual press.
It was followed by three consecutive explosions as the land around them spanning 500 meters in size dropped and reduced altitude in contrast to its surrounding land area.
500 meters, half a kilometer, the shape of the area that dropped in height from the surrounding lands was in the shape of a hand —Kyle’s hand!
Kyle focused his strength into releasing this [Fist Art] and his Mana of the Chaos God level burst forth in its majestic entirety.
“Aaaaaaahhhh…!!”
Kyle roared like a supersaiyan, his Mana surging outwards in a storm one last time.
BOOOOOOOM!!!
It was an attack that carried his hate and anger.
After a while, the yellow light blanketing the area reduced its brilliance until gradually, slowly, it receded back into his body and vanished in the swell of yellow smoke as the dust clouds began to subside.
He panted and chased his breath. It was clear he had exerted himself in that last attack.
Kyle then coughed out blood as the two holes on his chest continued to bleed Dragon Blood. But up there in the air, Kyle was smiling victoriously.
“Ahahaha… weakling… you dare to challenge this great me?!! HAH!! Die a pitiful death!”
At the last note of his words —CHUB!!!
—came the sound of a vacuum being made.
A ray of light too small to notice but was still with enough glow to be noticed pierced the distance from the ground to Kyle —flying straight past his right temple but eventually having enough of the crushing air current to destroy his right eye. Blood spewed out in a gush and Kyle fell from the sky.
“Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaa~!!”
He roared in pain, grabbing his bleeding face… it was just in time to see someone coming from the deep crater, Siva jumped in the air and rushed at Kyle wearing his broken pieces of blue armor.
That, just now, was one of Kyle’s strongest focused attacks… and yet he survived it?!!
Kyle didn’t have the energy to think of this fact as he screamed and cried, his right eye bleeding as Dáinsleif’s bullet destroyed his temple and the eye beside it.
Those watching this scene would have thought that Kyle should have died. But for a defense-type bloodline holder, and a Divine Dragon Beast Race at that, even with Dáinsleif’s firepower, the best it could do was give an adult Dragon a pain akin to a normal man being bitten by a fire ant in the balls.
It was an unimaginably and agonizingly painful thought —what more is experiencing it?
But this was different. Although it didn’t kill Kyle, it was still painful enough to make him forget even his own name.
And just as so, Siva arrived with the Godhammer in tow, smashing the screaming Land Dragon in the head where it hurt the most.
Kyle was smashed into another crater but he didn’t stop like that and instead skidded and made yet another trench before smashing into a building’s main pillar. Siva didn’t let up and followed, blinking right above him then stretching a hand downward.
Space rippled and the third artillery shell came out of nowhere, hitting Kyle at the face, with the shell exploding upon impact, and Kyle being planted in the shattered ground with another depression that sent debris flying in the air.
But Siva still continued with a dose of a 200m area of Plasma Smoke Screen followed by a bright flash of bluish-white light and a loud explosion.
Kyle was writhing in agony and while his face still continued to bleed, he didn’t have the right amount of strength to even pay it any attention.
He was at the edge of his sanity due to the pain.
The punishment he received from Siva was purely physical and with the pain of his right eye stealing the last bits of his rationality, he didn’t even realize that he was already a defeated punching bag.
Still, the fact remains that his body was really a tough metal to bend.
At the explosion of his last bombardment, Siva still pulled out Lancet Imperious and just like before, he jumped in the air and flew up… higher, higher, and even higher… then dived down, with the wind whistling as he fell before throwing the sword-lance with full strength straight at the Saipan’s still bleeding and slashed-injured chest.
BANG!!
This last attack of the Lancet Imperious finally had a clear injury.
It was planted an inch deep into his chest skin.
Dust clouds followed along with the storm of wind from that attack.
Kyle wasn’t capable of fighting back anymore.
He didn’t even have the strength to properly cry in pain as he panted and heaved in slow and painful breaths; his eyes’ glow was dull in confusion and the pain and the suffering he felt made him wish mentally for an immediate death to relieve him of this lasting pain.
Each action Siva did was as loud as just anybody could hear it. It was pure and utter punishment. It wasn’t even a fight anymore.
It was… brutality.
—just pure and uninhibited violence.
To the people watching him, Siva’s actions gave an impression of him venting his anger at the man.
But alas, the disparity between Siva and Kyle is as large as a river. Their stats were just too far in between so his attacks dealt only minimal damage.
Even with Killing Zone, Kyle’s stats were at least at the ten thousands, while Siva’s stats were only a meager 600 —too weak to even be compared.
His only redeeming factor is the fact that Siva had Killing Zone and that he knew how to properly use his arsenal at the right time.
He maximized his damage, adding to the fact that he deliberately instigated Kyle’s anger to make his judgement dim and make his ego burn bright by a large margin.
All of this relied at the fact that he had the Blue Flacon Armor to hold up in his defense.
Still, he didn’t expect that Kyle was actually this strong… too strong, in fact, that the armor was broken and needed time to heal itself.
Siva bent down and grabbed the near-death Kyle by the leg, upside down.
Looking at the area around him, a minimum of 2km was reduced to rubbles, debris, and collapsed tall buildings. The roads were decimated, the entire landscape was actually demolished as if there was a dirty hurricane that barged in and raped it.
Now that he was near unconscious, Siva would not miss this chance to get fresh test subject.
With a flip of his hand, one NanoCube after another came out but as soon as they touched the air, they melted into liquid and Siva guided this liquid into Kyle’s bleeding orifices.
“Cortana, follow the same path you used when you entered my body. Use my own brain as the map and my parents’ data files as reference… I want you to make sure that Kyle’s ego wouldn’t awaken ever again. I want to control this body. It has nice defense abilities in it.”
[Sir, just to inform you that there only has a less than 10% chance of it succeeding. In case of it failing, it means we’ll be killing the subject. It’s a waste of fresh Dragon Body. You can also try to baptize yourself in his blood right now, sir, while he’s still alive.]
Siva thought for a moment before he shook his head and did not entertain the idea.
“I have Electra for this. And besides, I don’t want to get this element.”
The baptism of blood from a True Dragon was a bit different when one uses an elemental Dragon Blood to do it.
Because when achieving the increase in stats to 900 using Elemental Dragon Blood, one would get the elemental alignment of whatever Dragon Blood one has used.
If Siva use Kyle’s Land-element Dragon Blood, he’d sure to get Land-element as attribute when he achieved 900+ stats —Quasi-Immortal state.
Still, it’s only a slight alignment in physique, that’s all… it didn’t mean that whatever the element the person gets will give him uber domination on that said element.
In the end, Siva just wanted to proceed with the current experiment.
“If ever Kyle does die during the entire process, at least save the data for future reference.”
[Aye sir. The process will take at least a minute.]
“Take your time.”
Siva dropped Kyle into the ground but he didn’t fall to his knees or to his butt. He remained on his feet as he looked up above him, putting a vial of red potion into his mouth and spitting it.
Warships surrounded his location, players and NPCs wanting his head looking on with both the look of respect and awe when they see his face.
[Ah, sir, your helmet is half-broken.]
Upon her reminder, Siva touched his head and felt that indeed, the helmet for the Blue Falcon Armor —a RUNE Equipment— actually broke in the process of withstanding Kyle’s last attack.
Kyle wasn’t a magician —as all Dragons are— for their manner of attack are all dependent on their own elemental alignment.
What more, Kyle was actually a bit different. He was a martial artist.
His movements were refined and they carried in it presence and his intent.
Kyle wasn’t stupid in the slightest.
He was strong! Very!
Siva had to respect that kind of strong opponent.
Those ripples in the fabric of space are actually [Resonance Events] and they were really scary.
If Kyle didn’t have that temper and that fixation at the simple provocation of being called stupid, he would have been an even stronger opponent.
What more, without his arsenal; the IPU, the four Dáinsleif Rifles, the Bloody Mary Cannons, all the grenades he used, the Longhorn Cannons, and all his weapons and equipment, including the broken Blue Falcon Armor…
Siva had nothing to fight Kyle against —that and his skills and abilities, especially the 70% less defense effect of the Killing Zone———
—–everything in his Inventory had been used and he actually blasted the guy with two simultaneous firing of the Longhorn Cannon and still lived on!
How strong was he if not SUPER?!!
Siva reflected at the fact that Kyle was indeed correct with everything. This fight made him see the truth that Siva —the him right now— is not the same [Siva] of the distant past.
His glory days are over and he was just a weak Terran right now that can’t even stand a direct attack from Kyle without the Blue Falcon Armor.
—and even that broke at the face of his attacks.
If he was just a bit weaker and didn’t have flat 600 stats… he knew he would have died at the start.
Siva drank a vial of red potion again and with one thought made the Blue Falcon Armor disappear back into his inventory.
“Runes can heal themselves… but with this level of damage, how long will it heal itself?”
Siva can’t help grudgingly mutter this.
There was still so much to do and he already lost a valuable asset. Damn it.
A flash and the Blue Falcon Armor was gone.
What remained underneath was his tattered white casual-formal polo shirt with the left sleeve having the design of a lightning fire.
The two sleeves were actually torn off here and there, and even his black slacks had holes in it while the buttons of his polo shirt were gone at the upper half that it revealed his cursed skin.
Siva’s hair fluttered as if he was in the water —in fact, his entire body did— like the famed Capitan Salazar of the last Pirates of the Caribbean film, Siva’s clothes were affected by his curse.
Black smoke escapes his body as he stood there victorious, his head held high, as his eyes looked to the warship-filled skies.
Still, no matter the realizations he had, he won. It was enough reason for Siva to beam widely.
When he did, however, that black smoke face of his with that teeth-showing grin looked scary. This sight made many unfamiliar people cringe in fright.
At the center of the crater, he stepped on Kyle’s defeated self, then his right hand moved and he put his black mask with its distinctive red lines on his face.
—and at the very moment he did, something upon the viewers and witnesses changed.
The cursed Siva with and without the mask were almost two different people altogether.
Siva, with his ‘Destroyer Mask’ on and that teeth-showing evil grin on his lips… actually made him look handsome for some odd reason.
It gave an impression of savageness, an image of strength, power, and charismatic brutality that was unique to those who were strong.
And given that these people had just witnessed his fight earlier, all the more did this impression of this black masked Siva sink in their hearts.
And as if to add more points to this image, Siva’s smile actually morphed into a loud laughter. This laughter… was lowly audible but it made all other sounds around him die out.
“This…..”
Everyone watching him gasped at the sight. This was a face —despite his curse— that everybody only knew from legends.
It was said that on Siva’s earliest days, he was always wearing a black-red mask and even called himself moniker “The Destroyer”, laughing while at the midst of a battle, a crazy guy who loved war and all kinds and forms of violence.
Back then, many laughed at the name.
But now, with a decimated city as the backdrop, he was letting himself known once more.
Siva…
—to the players and every person of Terroa—
………..is strong!
“Hahahahahahahaha… Hahahahahahahahha—!!”
Siva’s shoulders shook as he laughed. It went on for who knows how long until the sound of his laughing echoed around the city —the magic of what his Liberty Drones could do with a little bit of helping.
Everyone heard this laughter and the fighting in every corner even began to pause.
“Eh? Why does this sound so familiar…”
Thorn and Volt had the same reaction.
“It’s him.”
“So he won, huh.”
“Those explosions earlier was his fight? Dayum!”
“We can watch the fight some other way.”
“Let’s finish the mission.”
“Volt, it’s your time to shine.”
“I know already!”
Upon the defeat of their Elder, the nine followers of Kyle earlier knelt on the ground, aghast and in utter disbelief.
Their esteemed leader, defeated by a mere weak Terran… just like that……..
While the Asgardians cleaned up all the weaker Acolytes, the nine followers exchanged looks as they charged straight at Siva’s direction.
“Kill him!” a spearman shouted.
Siva didn’t even look at them as space rippled in the air and all the BM-Puppets he had pulled in the fight earlier appeared once again to protect their Mechromancer.
While Siva laughed, desperate fighting exploded all around him.
There was a circle of 50m around Siva yet not a single one of the nine —or any other man— had managed to come close in breaching this.
Many actually dared to come close but none of them managed to succeed seeing that he had those ‘people’ protecting him like a master.
Siva continued to laugh for a few minutes and did not even care about the chaotic battle happening around him.
He was bathing in the feeling he had long lost in the undying flow of time.
Yes.
Back then, didn’t he start as someone weak and even at the very bottom of the food chain?
At that forest, back then, he woke up without a speck of knowledge of the world around him, and had to fight to survive… and eventually learn of everything?
In the end, he just had to go through with the same process… climbing his way on that ladder of power all over again.
And so he laughed as his naivety leaked out of him. How could he have forgotten it?
—I had indeed become weak…
——I became cultured…
———I was………… domesticated..!!
And so Siva laughed and remembered it all and put himself at the bottom of the food chain all over again —just like in the past.
Siva renewed his thinking, forgetting his ego, he resettled his mind as a challenger, challenging the strong.
—and the strong being those in the outer space.
——those Demons…
———the Bloody Church!
They are the enemies. They are strong.
“Hahahaha…”
Siva continued to laugh throughout the chaos of the fighting and once he had his fill, he stopped.
[Boss, I’m sorry. I failed. The subject died as his brain was injured from the clash. I suggest that we find someone who is not fresh out of a fight in the level that you did.]
Just this line alone was enough to motivate Siva.
“I see.”
Then, as he stopped laughing, he collected the corpse beneath his feet as his gaze turned to those around him.
With but a thought —he was gone.
Siva actually vanished without a trace.
“““Where’d he go?!!”””
Everyone had the same thoughts, even the nine followers of Kyle.
