Chapter 511: Onward, Genoa
================================
“——a promise that I will send my Army to guard and help the Immortal Emperor’s territory. As far as I know, there are only five, six Walled Cities in Tiara so it wouldn’t be that hard to guard it.”
Siva looked at the Werewolf King. He remembers their last meeting in Jeremiah not going well even at the end.
What made him change his opinion of him?
Hugo’s question earlier was never answered NOT because he didn’t want to. It’s because he didn’t know how and what to say on that claim.
If he confirms it, many things will change but if he denies it, Hugo might back out of the promise.
As such, Siva did not confirm it or deny anything and only pushed it aside for another time.
Besides, if he sticks around him more, he will be finding out a thing or two so it wouldn’t matter if he kept silent for now.
“How about this: forget about the gamble and just focus on the tasks at hand. King Hugo, the raid on the traitors of Terroa is more important now than it has ever been. I’ve incapacitated their leader but if he returns, we might not get this chance again so I need you to, just like what I said to the rest of the party earlier, send me a contingent of at least a division within the hour. If we let them escape, there is a large possibility that they will inform the Bloody Church that their group is already being targeted as we speak. If that happens, there was also a large chance that they will also preemptively attack our cities, or even concentrate their attacks in taking over the Northern Continent of Tiara.”
Siva has no plan to tell Hugo that there is a large possibility that the Bloody Church’s [Patron God], the Blood Dragon God —Vasuki— is imprisoned somewhere in Tiara. At least not yet.
He was scared at the fact that the threat to Baron and Terroa, and also in the Genesis Chamber, is at the verge of being greatly realized. The longer they waited, the more dangerous it is for them.
Siva couldn’t help but to applaud the schemer of this grand plan. If, optimistically, they succeed in stopping the plan of the Bloody Church, there is still the grand invasion nine months later as their backup plan. In the end, all of this trouble now is just a diversion and also a scalping tool to reduce the Terrans’ military forces.
Because, ultimately, the Church of Blood Dragon God is made up of Terrans and the war between the Terran Alliance —and, hopefully, the Seven Dragon Clans— against the Bloody Church will still take a lot of lives of the Terrans —the future firepower that could have been additional fighting force in the grand invasion nine months later.
As such, as much as Siva wanted to go to The Conclave right now, he couldn’t waste time in this plan to destroy the easiest of the targets.
There is still room, yes, so he couldn’t send them a message to forego their “vacation” from their tasks and missions in Asgard to support this. Siva still had the dignity to not implore them for all of his personal goals.
After all, they had an agreement that they will all risk the dangers of interfering with AG’s plans with their lives according to their own pace. Siva had no right to force them to follow him and make the same sacrifices he was willing to make. Take Matt, for example, he finally breached that wall with Rio… would Siva kill their “joy” by pulling the new couple into his mess? He couldn’t.
Right now, there is still room and the emergency is still not as high, so he was doing everything on the limits of his capabilities as much as he could alone.
Hugo remained silent. Gaia added, “There’s no need to worry about provisions. We will be the ones to provide it, along with accommodations if a war breaks out between our forces during the time of the operation. For now, our main priority is speed and so we request that within the next hour from now, you send your troops to the Elf Forest just like the rest, and we will immediately depart as soon as you gather.”
Hugo was still silent.
When they requested him of his aide, he thought he still had a time of at least a day to prepare. He didn’t expect that the urgency was this tight and it was affecting a lot of his schedules.
“What’s the danger level? I can’t risk my people to go in a battlefield wearing the wrong gears. Also, do you need warships?”
“We need an entire division’s firepower, at the very least. The Blue Card Legion is a very large organization and we expect a strong resistance on their side. Just looking at the fact that their secret leader is Gats, the greatest known adventurer in the current times, is already enough telling of just how powerful their organization is.”
Gaia’s explanation made Hugo inhale deeply. He also knew about Gats’ reputation in the Surface Continents and also knew about the Blue Card Legion…. associated with the Blue Card Merchant Group—one of the largest business organizations on the five continents above.
With that kind of money, and then that kind of leadership, Hugo also knew that what they’re telling him now was also right.
He believed them so. He trusted Gaia.
Hugo already forwent the notion of all of this as just being a hoax and a trick by Siva.
Right now, speed indeed is a must.
They have the element of surprise on their side so they have to capitalize on it. He still had doubts about Siva’s identity but he trusted Gaia’s identity as both a High Seat and The Oracle. Even Lady Mohindra was also here so is there any need to worry about their firepower?
“Alright.” he finally said. “One hour. I will be going there myself as well. I will be seeing you, Oracle.”
The Werewolf Clan was a clan of warriors and its internal governance system relied on the power of one’s strength and fists, not politics. They have pride in the pack and so as their King and leader, he cannot shrink away in this level of ‘excitement’.
Gaia made a smile, “I send my thanks in advance.”
She made a curtsy and Hugo accepted. The call ended and the room was left with only Siva’s own group with no one else. He released the isolated space and only then realized it.
“Hm?” Siva looked at a certain direction, “Really, it seems the termites are moving on their own.”
Mohindra and Gaia also felt it.
When Siva spoke of them as “termites”, the two women immediately knew what was happening.
Linda, who was the Ambassadress, also felt them and she paled at the thought that the Terrans are now taking a violent stance against them Siva, the leader of their entourage. She was still slow to the upkeep of the entire situation.
“Should I deal with them, My Lord?” asked Gaia.
Siva raised a hand to stop her. “Let them come since they won’t be seeing us here.”
When Siva spoke, he tapped in the fabrics of the local space and their entire group vanished, with the Dwarf Prince not even able to ask what was going on.
At that moment——
—BANG!!!
The door to the waiting room opened with a loud crashing sound as it was kicked by a tall and dark skinned man with a sturdy physique wearing the uniform of the Noah Royal Family of Bardavon.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
He didn’t care for any greetings and only took out a piece of paper from his Inventory and read it.
“Siva, King of Asgard, a country of unknown and suspicious origins, by reason and right, ordered by the High Seat of the Terran Alliance, Divine Crown Theocracy’s Pontifex Romano, you and all your escorts, are hereby requested to come with us into the King’s Guest Palace without resistance or we will be forced to do so under duress.”
There was only silence as a reply.
The man lowered the paper and looked at the empty room. His face muscles twitched as he then turned his back to his assistant.
“I thought you said they were here?!!”
“They were here, according to the scanners…”
“Then where are they?!!”
“T-They’re gone… now… I think…”
“…”
The large man frowned and stomped the floor.
With a flap of his cape, he turned his back around and left the room. They didn’t know how Siva did it but it seems that he can freely move around with no one else noticing.
“Report this to the Church. This is additional Intel that must be delivered no matter what.”
“Yes.”
“You. Report to the King. Tell him that Siva and the rest of his associates are gone.”
“Yes sir.”
After he gave the orders, the man, a Duke of the Kingdom of Bardavon and a hidden Acolyte of the Bloody Church, swore with anger.
—if the information is true, then Lord Eros’ toys are in danger. We still needed them so they can’t die this early in the game.
He may just be an Acolyte and not a Priest, but in the ranks of the “followers” he was the highest and so he knew a few things or two.
They needed the Blue Car Legion to be aware of this incoming attack.
*****
Meanwhile, Siva and the group was already on the other continent —Laurasia— and in here, as soon as they emerged, they were greeted by the Vajra who was the messenger sent here by Mohindra.
Siva then faced the Dwarf Prince and gave him an item —it was just a Flash Bang, an item intended to temporarily blind an area with a bright flash. He gave the Dwarf Prince five of them.
Although he had plans for the improved version of the Teleportation Ability of the IPU, he was yet to properly set them and so could only give away temporary items.
“Prince, please go and prepare your country.”
Now that he had already sworn his allegiance to Siva, he was ready to do all his bidding. This was all for the sake of the future glory of the Dwarves.
But more than anything, it was also what Siva said is true —that the Dwarves’ lives have been empty because they can’t fulfill their ancient purpose and the essence of their lives: dedicating them in the Art and Science of Crafting.
Crafting was on their blood, it was their ‘soul’ and the identity of their race.
Being denied of this fulfillment until their deaths is the greatest regrets of all the Dwarves from the past until the present.
Now that they have the chance to fulfill this long-lost purpose in life, they wouldn’t be back off of it now, regardless of the cost, even if it had to be at the fact that they have to become subordinates of an unknown King of an unknown Kingdom.
In this regard, their leverage would have to be put on the shoulders of Gaia and Prince Duren.
Would the King agree to this? Giving up all of their royalty and dignity to be the subordinate of an unknown kingdom?
They might still function as a Kingdom but they will be subjects of a higher existence.
As a King, would this be okay?
It was a question that will be answered once the Crown Prince actually went home to talk to his father, the King.
“Go now. I’ll be seeing you later.”
“Yes, My Lord.” The Prince had already resolved himself on his role and so didn’t have any qualms in bowing his head to another King.
He and his subject disappeared with a flash of light where Siva, Gaia, and the Vajra were the only ones left.
“Gaia.” Siva faced her. This is where she wasn’t needed because there was a chance that she may be attacked or her presence becomes the reason for their group to be attacked.
Gaia flicked her finger in the air and handed Siva the list he needed.
After checking the contents, Siva nodded then swiped the air, summoning a bracelet and handing it to Gaia, saying, “I still have to collect a few more but majority of the things on the list is in here. I’ll contact you when I got the rest. How long will you be able to complete the Talismans?”
When she received the Spatial Artifact from Siva, Gaia checked the contents and answered, “With all these resources, I’ll be able to provide you with four Tier-7 or so Accessorized Talismans. If we push it, Tier-8 is not impossible.”
“The higher the Tier, the better.” Siva gave her a nod. “Regarding the cost, please inform me of the prize and I’ll prepare the payment.”
Gaia nodded. Then pulled out a T-Device and she also vanished from their sights.
Now, it was only Siva and the Vajras.
Siva then faced the messenger, “How is the Clan People accepting the proposition?”
Right now they were on a place far away from the border of the nearest Clan Territory in Laurasia, the Land Dragon Clan. This was the place where Kyle of the Bloody Church should have come from and being here, surrounded by these God-level existences, are rather scary.
But he had to do it. That’s why Mohindra’s role in this negotiation will be substantial. The process, even, might even be different than the relatively peaceful yelling and political scheming of the Terran Alliance Council.
“The Land Dragons have agreed, My Lord.” The messenger answered and bowed his head at Siva since even Mohindra did so even in front of them.
“But…” Siva prompted.
Mohindra and the rest looked at Siva, “But?” then they looked at the messenger who swallowed and took the signal and explained.
“…but they added a condition, s-sire.”
“What’s the condition?”
“A duel with you, My Lord…. because… because it would seem that Kyle, the Bloody Church Elder you defeated in Maria was the son of the current Dragon King of the Saipans.”
Siva’s body wasn’t capable of sweating but these words just now made him feel the cold sweat on his spine.
So Elder Kyle of the Bloody Church was actually the son of the Dragon King of the Land Dragon Clan —the [Saipan Clan].
Even Siva, with all his glory in the past, could only swallow dry spit as he thought of his current full power and strength against a Primordial God-level existence such as the Dragon King.
It may be lighter in words, but Immortal-level can destroy a city, with its resistance, in a matter of a night… that is a fact.
Immortals are different from Gods —they evolve.
Gods’ strength aren’t based on their “level” or the division (Chaos, Elder, Primordial). Instead, their strength is divided according to the aspects of the Divinity they represent in the Universe.
This strength leveling system is fixed. A Chaos God’s strength depends on their aspect. But in general strength, they are powerful enough to be able to destroy a Country, with its resistance, in a matter of hours… possibly half a night’s time.
An Elder God can destroy a continent in a night’s time… while the God-level above that, those few but terrifying Primordial God-level existences, are able to destroy a planet, with all its resistance, in a night’s time. According to the level of strength, a Chaos God could be strong enough to fight even a Primordial God-level existence if he was backed by items and if his/her divinity is battle-oriented.
But in their raw general strength, the order retains as Immortal, Chaos, Elder, and Primordial, with the Primordial Gods being the strongest.
With the specialness of Immortals highlighted as they are existences that defies the order and the law of the Universe in order to gain strength, their power can be strong and weak, depending on the application of their acquired divinity according to their chosen Path of Immortality.
In general, all Immortals pursue the path of power and majority of them focus on the battle-oriented path that’s why they can fight against any God in any given circumstances.
Back then, Siva was the prime example of a God whose identity and acquired divinity represented pure destructive power.
That’s why he was famous and that’s why he was also treated a special existence, while the rest of the Immortals received the lowest of treatments aside from a select few.
As such, when Siva thought of the Dragon King of the Saipan… with their defense oriented bodies and bloodlines, and their unique hand to hand battle style, if Siva was at his peak just like back in the day, he wouldn’t have felt this kind of intimidation from the duel request.
But just like what he told Hugo, right now, he was nothing but a mere Mortal.
His strength wasn’t even on an Immortal-level and all his firepower came from external items while his personal strength are still not up to par.
“Did… did he say who is going to be fighting?”
“Yes, My lord. He said he would like to feel the fist of the person who killed his son.”
GULP!!
Siva made an audible sound and the rest of the Vajras also felt the pressure on him.
Who wouldn’t?
This was a Primordial God-level existence and he was actually issuing a personal challenge to defeat Siva in a fight.
“Are weapons allowed?” Siva wanted to find the loophole he can use against his opponent.
“I’m not sure. But… given the Saipan’s mentality, I don’t think they’re a weapon-oriented clan.”
“My Lord, should we go to another city?”
Mohindra, who understood Siva’s troubles, made a suggestion. If Siva wasn’t in a hurry, he indeed would have chosen to go to another direction and then talk about things… peacefully.
But he was and right now, he was pressed for time which he doesn’t have —as always.
“No.” he said and made a sigh. “I will fight him if that’s what he wants.”
“But Lord Siva, you…”
Siva raised a hand to stop her. “It’s alright. If it’s all about reason, I can give him a proper explanation about why Kyle had to die back then.”
Mohindra stayed silent. If it was her that had to fight the Saipan Clan’s Dragon King, she would’ve had to rely on speed and cunning tactics if she is to win against him. But it was Siva and Siva’s very fighting style itself was like a volcano.
He had explosive momentary combat prowess that is based on hard-hitting weapons and equipment, but his personal strength, even against the weakest of the Vajras —or any other Dragon Clan at that— wouldn’t be able to pull a win, not to mention last a long time despite his unique cursed body’s constitution that emphasized stamina.
“Get ready, we’ll depart immediately.”
“Yes!”
With Siva’s command, the Vajra team began to make their preparations and headed towards the nearest Dragon Territory in Laurasia, Genoa.
