Mount War God, the most sacred temple in the hearts of humanity since the new mythological era. From the beginning of the old era, the energy crisis erupted, leading to a great war among humans. It culminated in a nuclear war, pushing humanity to the brink of extinction. Then, the invasion of extraterrestrial beings occurred, prompting humans to set aside their prejudices and form a human federation. The world's elite military forces gathered in the Yellow River Valley for a major counterattack, which came to be known as the 'Yellow River Valley Self-Defense War.'
The counterattack was thought to be the bright beginning of humanity's future, but the entire sky was enveloped in darkness. It seemed as if an invisible hand of a god was manipulating the situation. The floods raged, and the waves surged. If humanity were to be annihilated here, all of the elite members would turn to dust, and humanity would be completely enslaved by extraterrestrial beings.
The title of War God, an infinite and glorious title, is the peak strength title of the new mythological era. Humanity elevated the War God to a position equivalent to that of a god, a man who was infinitely close to the War God, Mas Walker.
A member of an ancient martial arts family, Mas Walker utilized the long-lost Golden Needle Technique, stimulating the body's potential. His boundless potential had been confirmed by numerous scientific studies, and the energy hidden and developed within Mas Walker's body from a young age was astonishing.
Everyone who participated in the 'Yellow River Valley Self-Defense War' remembers the day when the dark sky was suddenly illuminated by the energy erupting from his body. With a roar like that of a tiger, he seemed to soar like a dragon into the sky. This god-like man rose in the midst of humanity's most desperate hour and charged into the heart of the alien monsters' territory. No one knew the extent of the fierce battle he experienced until the extraterrestrial beings retreated and a ceasefire agreement was reached with humanity.
When he was found, he was sixty-five years old before the great battle, with fair and rosy skin. Now, he resembled a centenarian on the brink of death. Even though his strength had not truly reached that of a War God, humanity elevated him to the status of a god, making him the first quasi-War God of the new mythological era. He turned the tide of the great crisis and fought for the survival of humanity. Oh, how magnificent!
This old man, who had escaped from death, was slowly recovering a hint of vitality. Almost everyone believed that when he truly recovered, he would become a true War God and lead humanity to completely drive out the extraterrestrial beings.
The War God family is an incredibly honorable family, but also a family filled with great sorrow. Under the glory of the War God Mas Walker, his son Morton Walker had become the youngest general in the federation, yet he still greatly feared the call of the War God. The War God's grandson was not named Talon Walker, but rather Barrett Walker. He was a child born destined for tragedy. His mother had to take him, at the age of three, to accompany Morton Walker onto the battlefield. Mas Walker even cruelly vowed: since we fight for all of humanity, if humanity falls, then the Walker family has no reason to survive. There was nothing else he feared anymore!
At that moment, humanity set aside racial discrimination and united to fight against the extraterrestrial beings.
His mother's blood splattered onto Barrett Walker's face, and he could never forget that scene. From then on, hemophobia was planted in his heart, becoming an eternal demon.
At thirteen years old, when he should have had a happy childhood, the War God Mas Walker discovered Barrett Walker's fear of blood. For a War God, having a grandson who was afraid of blood was simply shameful. He expelled him from the family, and of course, there were other significant reasons, including the meddling of that woman from the Green family.
Suddenly, the scene in his dream changed. Below the magnificent Mount War God, a delicate woman was soaked through by radiation rain. Through the hazy light, her frail and delicate figure seemed as though it could collapse at any moment. Barrett Walker seemed to hear her cries: "Why! Why are you so heartless? For you, I gave up everything, and yet you heartlessly leave me. I have nothing left!" Barrett Walker wanted to break free from the nightmare and shout out, as though a boulder was pressing down on his chest, but no matter how he struggled to let out those words as heavy as lead, "I won't leave again," they were stuck in his chest and couldn't be shouted out. Finally, Barrett Walker woke up, realizing he was lying in an ambulance.
The first thing he saw upon waking up was not her. Remembering the scene of him falling earlier, his face stung as though he had been foolish. Those were just matters from his past life, and this life, even if she didn't suffer because of him, would she still recognize him? He was just a useless person. Would she still like him?
These two questions kept swirling in his mind. He wanted to convince himself, but the thought of her infinite radiance in his past life made any man standing by her pale in comparison. Perhaps he had really missed his chance in this life!
This answer was quite mysterious. Barrett Walker was just a poor student at a public high school, and the chance of attending college was slim. He had to work multiple jobs every day to support himself, to avoid receiving the federation's relief nutrition. What did he have to offer her? Yet, he saved her! How laughable was that reasoning? Did saving a beautiful woman mean she had to reciprocate with her body?
Looking at the heavily guarded police officers around him, he self-mockingly said, "I shouldn't have acted heroically without health insurance and life insurance!"
He began to doubt his actions. Perhaps he should have let her suffer, and then... What were you thinking? Barrett Walker wanted to slap himself. Did he become so despicable in order to win her? How was he any different from those who drugged her? Did he even deserve her?

But was it really worth it? To end up like this for her, to give up the entrance exam, to give up a bright future, and now to end up in a police station, and she didn't even come to look at him. Perhaps she had her own matters to attend to!
Barrett Walker didn't dare to think further and took a deep breath to steady his mind.
"You little brat! Just because you kicked my phone, don't think I don't have other evidence. Get ready to rot in prison for the rest of your life!" Mole Biss, sitting on the side of the ambulance, was taking her medicine and, upon seeing Barrett Walker wake up, smugly uttered these words.
"I'm not afraid of death, but I'm most afraid of not knowing how to live. So don't provoke me, or you'll regret it for today's events." Barrett Walker lay on the soft stretcher and, worried about his medical expenses, looked at Mole Biss. He spoke with great seriousness. "Kid! I've already died once, so I don't care about your threats."
Barrett Walker made up his mind that once he was out, he would put on a mask and rob her house, taking all her valuable possessions and leaving her penniless, so she could experience his current situation.
Suddenly, the light at the ambulance door was blocked, and Barrett Walker turned to see an angry face. He quickly shrunk back and pretended to pass out.
"You little brat, I saw you wake up! You can stop pretending. Look! I have a gun and handcuffs, hmph!" Claudia White thought more and more angrily, and she directly asked Captain Tage for a gun and handcuffs, waiting for Barrett Walker to wake up so she could deal with him.
Barrett Walker didn't expect this policewoman to have it out for him. As he sighed at the pettiness of women, he sat up and turned to look at Claudia White. He wanted to find something to say to lighten his guilt, but when he saw Claudia White glaring at him, he couldn't take it anymore and, looking extremely serious, said, "Everyone makes mistakes, otherwise the right path would be overcrowded. It was my mistake just now. I was blind to my own shortcomings. Please just let me go!"
Glared at by Claudia White, who was reminded of his harassment just now, she felt uncomfortable all over. She jumped onto the ambulance, grabbed Barrett Walker's clothes, and pulled him out with such force that he almost fell out of the ambulance, shouting, "I don't make mistakes, so don't even think about it!"
With such a fierce statement, the police officers recording testimonies around them all cast surprised glances. This junior officer was already quite out of line today. She hadn't even reported for duty before heading out on a call, and she broke the record for the fastest response time by riding a motorcycle in a skirt. On her first day, she even lost her police ID. But all these issues were overshadowed by her stunning looks. Now, this extremely fierce statement popped out, and they finally understood why the two senior police officers in the department had such strange looks in their eyes after Claudia White graduated. It looked like the dull police work would become more interesting from now on.
"Be careful! I'm still a seriously injured patient! I don't have insurance, and I haven't even gotten married yet!" Barrett Walker couldn't help but worry about his medical bills and looked at Claudia White. "You little thing! I've already died once, and I don't care about your threats."

Barrett Walker was dragged out of the ambulance, his thin skin burning with embarrassment as he was met with the peculiar gazes of those around him. Trying to hide his discomfort, he struggled to find the right words to say.
Claudie White released her grip, and Barrett nearly stumbled out of the ambulance. "Speak! Name! Age! Address! Occupation..." she demanded.
"Officer! This isn't a police station, is it?" Barrett retorted.
"Quit the chatter and speak up!" White snapped.
"Barrett Walker, eighteen years old, unmarried, still in school, no house or car at home, looking for a more virtuous..." Barrett was interrupted.
"Stop! Do you think this is a dating show?" White scolded.
"Isn't that what you told me to say? Name! Age! Address! Occupation! I said it!" Barrett retorted.
White looked around at her fellow officers, feeling flustered by their mocking glances. She couldn't bear it any longer, no matter how thick-skinned and tough she was. She glared fiercely at Barrett, then forcefully snapped the pen in her hand and threw it to the ground. "There are too many people here. You'll wait at the police station later."
Watching the dejected Claudie White, Tager couldn't help but shake his head. He extinguished his cigarette in the trash can, then took a few steps forward to pat Claudie on the shoulder. "What's wrong? Can't handle it on the first day? Weren't you still thinking about cracking some major case? This won't do!"
"Yeah! Uncle Tager! Doing this kind of work is too much trouble. It would be better to investigate a major case, or transfer me to the serious crimes unit!" Claudie pouted, on the verge of tears, clinging to Tager's sleeve like a child.
"Alright, you're a grown woman, and you're still acting like a child. We're in the middle of an investigation right now. It's not easy to get into the serious crimes unit. If it weren't for taking care of you, your Uncle Roland wouldn't have transferred me to this unit. Take it slow!" Tager patted Claudie's shoulder and walked towards the ambulance.
"Let's go! I'll teach this little rascal a lesson for you."
"Is that really necessary?"
"What's not necessary? Even though we are public servants, it doesn't mean we can be bullied. Besides, who dares to bully our little princess? I'm not finished with him yet."
As a legend in the police world, if he didn't stand up for his niece when she was being bullied, it would be a laughingstock!
