107.The Brave Border People

107.The Brave Border People

"Will this time Light Smith betray the interests of the Federation?" The four executives of the Dove Faction sat on the side, watching the pensive look of Light Smith, discussing in whispers.

Listening to their discussions, Gavin Smith suddenly made a surprising statement: "I actually hope they make a big mistake. The Radical Faction is too extreme, and sooner or later they will cause trouble. It's better to have an incident now to restrain their dominance. This way, the Federation won't be led down a dangerous path by them."

"The Federation cannot afford another blow! The stock market crash has already caused enough damage!" Dan Washington expressed conservative concern.

"You see! They chose the perfect timing to launch their plan, just when the Federation is dealing with a major crisis. And after reaching an agreement with Monica just a few days ago, they tore it up. They are trying to hold us all hostage! If we follow them, we'll be on a one-way journey with no return, not knowing what awaits us!" Gavin Smith suddenly stood up and spoke loudly, not only to the other three executives of the Dove Faction, but also to the entire Federation's parliamentarians.

"Don't worry! Everything will be fine. The military is there to keep us safe." Seeing his brother undermining him again, and in such a loud voice, Light Smith stood up to calm everyone down before continuing, "Look at the state of the Federation. A three-star general was injured and yet the public and the media admire the perpetrator. Look at the damage to War God's celebration. He is not just a title, he is our leader. He is the honor of our entire Federation. Shouldn't we do everything possible for this man? And look at the bodies on the Yellow River by War God Mountain. They haven't fully decayed yet! Should a great Federation, built with blood, flesh, fire, and iron on the ruins of foreign invasion, compromise with a speculator?"

Listening to Light Smith's impassioned speech, the parliamentarians were fired up. Many of them came from that era and many were severely affected by the stock market crash. They despised Monica and didn't see the tearing up of the agreement with her as a problem. Ultimately, strength speaks volumes!

"We support you."

"Yes! Let those damn borderlanders know the power of the Federation. We must not let them continue to suck the life out of the Federation."

"Oh no, the top ten border areas, A1 and A3, have rebelled. General Saint George of the machine gun troops and Major Vasili of the War God's 3rd Division are trapped there." The passionate parliamentarians, upon hearing this news, suddenly fell silent and looked towards Light Smith.

"Damn vermin! Let them go to hell! The Federation will not compromise. Give the order to suppress them fiercely," Light Smith ordered without hesitation.

"This is going to be chaotic. I suggest a re-vote to revoke Executive Director Light Smith's command!" Gavin Smith quickly opposed, and others from the Dove Faction stood up to support Gavin's opposition.

The three people behind Light Smith stood up to show their support, and all eyes turned to Oba Terence. If he agreed or disagreed, it would be decided. If he remained neutral, then the parliamentarians would have to vote to decide.

"I remain neutral," Oba Terence said, and it was precisely because of this answer over the past decade that he had secured the position of Executive Director.

"We all decide, in favor!" As soon as Oba Terence spoke, the entire circular hall was filled with the unanimous support of the parliamentarians, loud and proud, as if they were declaring the Federation's strength to the world.

"Humph!" Light Smith snorted in anger at Gavin Smith, and immediately ordered the crackdown via telephone.

"I didn't expect to be beaten so badly this time," Dove Faction Executive Director Bart Cloze couldn't help but complain.

Gavin Smith just sneered, "I gave you the Art of War to read. Haven't you read it seriously? Don't you know the saying 'lure the tiger to leave the mountain'? They are too powerful right now, if we confront them head-on, we will be destroyed. We must temporarily retreat, protect ourselves, and when they are weak, deliver a fatal blow!"

The power struggles in the House of Commons at this time had nothing to do with the borderlanders. Their fierceness was beyond the Federation's imagination. Even without orders to enter the wilderness, tanks and skilled soldiers had already surged out. What was even more unbelievable was that the A3 area where Greed Wolf was located was not the first to rebel. Hearing the soaring slogans everywhere seemed to have connected into one big wave!

Barrett Walker followed behind them and surged outwards. The people in this area were not to be trifled with! No wonder street brawls had almost become their nightly entertainment!

"Take advantage of the chaos and go to school!" Barrett Walker looked at the borderlanders attacking the defense line, showing off their skills by throwing stones and even setting off a small anti-tank missile with an iron pipe. Clearly, they had modified it to be more accurate and more powerful, instantly disabling a tank's track, rendering it completely useless.

The military had not received orders to retaliate and were being conservative, while the borderlanders were numerous, chaotic, and extremely fierce, not afraid of death. They instantly broke through the defense line and surged towards the city of Beijing.

Once the borderlanders entered the city, they were uncontrollable. They rushed into shops and large supermarkets owned by the Federation.

The city's residents on the outskirts were accustomed to interacting with the borderlanders and knew their temperaments well. As long as you did not deliberately provoke them, they would not cause trouble for you. They hurriedly closed their doors and went home.

However, beasts are still beasts. Even the repressed military would commit atrocities, let alone this group of fierce rioters, some of whom began robbing citizens, dragging women into alleys, and attacking residential areas.

Watching a woman being harassed in the street by a group of ragged men, with one of them even attempting to assault her right there, Barrett Walker, in anger, grabbed a chair and threw it at them. Before the chair could reach them, someone leaped from the second floor and, with a swift knee strike, knocked the man to the ground, spitting blood. It was clear how ruthless the blow had been.

This man was the leader of the gang that raided the territory with the help of werewolves that day. He cursed, "Damn students, do you not want your dog's paws anymore? Have you forgotten our rules?"

The others who were still surrounding him quickly fled. The man glanced at the woman crying on the ground and barked, "Stop crying and get home."

Barrett Walker found the situation uninteresting, but despite the many such incidents during this journey, many people had still been harmed. But isn't this war? Who should be blamed in the end? They were originally fighting for their rights against the Federation, but now they had become a group of bandits, inflicting suffering on the people.

I wonder how the Federation officials who started this war would react if they knew the current situation. It must be quite a sight!

Barrett Walker picked up a bicycle, not knowing who it belonged to, and watched the borderlanders looting. Perhaps he would come back later, but would the border area still exist by then? It should, right? The Federation needs them!

"Hey! Where are you going?" Seeing Barrett Walker riding the bicycle alone in the deserted street, the two brothers, holding a pile of smartphones and stacks of cards, hurriedly caught up to him and asked.

"I'm going to school," Barrett Walker stopped the bike and looked at the satisfied expressions of the two, wondering why they were stealing so many phones. Could they eat those? Although they had saved him, they were still not very familiar with each other, but that didn't hinder communication. With a somewhat amused expression, he asked, "What about you? Do you plan to stay here forever? I'm sure you know what's going to happen next!"

"We're also going to school! We sold many kidneys, but we still don't have enough money! Now these things are being given away for cheap!"

"You...going to school?" Barrett Walker was once again shocked.

"How come, don't you believe us! We are Jack and Bill, the most talented individuals in the border area. The whole border area knows our names. We passed the entrance exam to the War God Academy..."

"War God Academy?" Barrett Walker was once again amazed, looking at the two in disbelief.

"Humph! Let us finish speaking! It's Gary Croucher University next to the War God Academy!"
