162.Sweeping (Part 3)

The decor in the Palace of Glory exudes a strong Western style. Joshua Malcolm was weeping in a torrential and tumultuous manner at the bar, wondering how he could go on living after being shamefully robbed in front of so many people. After all, he was the heartthrob of the Central Academy of Drama! Surrounded by a group of beautiful admirers at all times, despite not being particularly frugal, he was a big spender. Nevertheless, one should not underestimate the power of the village chief.

"Joshua! Stop crying, we'll take care of this for you, sisters!"

"Yes, please stop crying. It's not a good look," a group of women couldn't help but step forward to comfort him, one holding his hand and another wiping his tears.

"Let's go, let's go find that woman and make her pay!" A short-haired girl with a diamond nose ring and a revealing outfit, complete with a belly button piercing, grabbed Joshua Malcolm and started leading him away.

"Who's in charge here? Apologize to me now!" This fierce girl, still dancing obliviously in the club, was surrounded by music that was simultaneously captivating and blood-pumping, tempting anyone to join in. However, she grabbed a nearby bottle and hurled it at the neon lights above, shattering them and sending glass shards flying. The once vibrant lights were now dimmed, and the crowd looked on in silence, some with blood seeping from their necks, shoulders, and heads. She paid no attention and shouted at the crowd, "Which old lady harmed Joshua? Come out and apologize, or else I'll call my people and none of you will escape."

The people in charge of this place had already gone to deal with the troubles of the Fashen gang, and there were only a few security guards left. The manager hurried forward, bowing and nodding, "Miss, let's discuss this peacefully. Hurting people is not a good idea."

"Hurting people isn't good? Hmph! Let me tell you, if I don't hurt people, I'll kill them. Get that old lady to apologize to me for Joshua."

Seeing the relentless demeanor of this girl, the innocently injured people below glared at her, astonished at her unreasonable behavior.

"Hmph! What's wrong? Can't handle it? I have a powerful big brother. My brother is Moshe Lauder, the leader of the Central City Gang. So don't overstep your bounds." Seeing the people below react to her audacious attitude, her lips curled in disdain as she spoke.

The manager suddenly felt a headache coming on. How did he get involved with this girl? "Little miss, can we talk about this?"

"Get lost! You have no business here!" She slapped the manager in the face and angrily said, "Hmph! Don't try to butter me up. I won't fall for it!"

Ah! Suddenly, the people below began to stir, retreating in fear, even the angry men shrunk back. This girl felt even more pleased with herself, smugly turning to the other girls, "See! These people need a good beating to come to their senses. Joshua Malcolm, why don't you give it a try?"

"Shira, it's not just behind you..." Someone also noticed the group of burly men rushing in behind them, all bloodied, with faces that practically screamed 'I'm a gangster' written all over them.

Jack was the first to walk in, surprised to find the lights on. He saw a brazen little girl turn to face them, her expression of disdain as if she owed him tens of thousands of dollars and was begging for mercy. These days, the ones who owed money were the ones in charge!

"Why did my big brother Moshe Lauder send you people?" Shira Lauder looked down on Jack and Bill, both with injuries, clearly not in high regard.

Moshe Lauder was truly audacious, able to establish himself in the most bustling area of the university city. It wasn't just luck, but also his methods. He had some superstitions, choosing the central area because of his name, and from being a cook, he rose to become the leader of the largest gang in the central part of the university city. He was able to dominate the area for over a decade, despite being besieged by other factions, a testament to his abilities and methods. So, anyone in the underworld who heard his name would respectfully call him Moshe.

Now, the arrogant little sister of Moshe Lauder, Hilary Lauder, has been hearing about how the legendary figures Jack and Bill from the city gang are unable to act against the formidable Moshe Lauder, as it would mean war with the gang. Just imagine the city gang, which appears as a great force in front of the Fa Shen gang, being too afraid to act!

"I say, what's going on here? Why haven't you taken action yet?" Barrett Walk entered, feeling a sense of control, as if he could command a thousand troops to charge, but upon entering the grand gates of the Glory Palace, he was met with a completely different scene – a large group of fierce individuals being scolded by a young girl! This left Barrett Walk at a loss for words.

"She's Moshe Lauder's little sister!" Jack couldn't help but whisper to Barrett Walk.

"I don't care if it's the city within the city or the tower within the tower. Weren't you supposed to come here to establish your reputation? Aren't you here to make a name for yourselves? But instead, you're here to make a fool of me!" Barrett Walk angrily exclaimed, not caring whether these two had saved him before or not.

"Uncle, are you playing cosplay? Whose character are you portraying? Why don't you carry a sword on your back? What's the point of carrying a dry branch? Don't tell me you can't afford props! Do you want me to lend you some money?" Hilary Lauder, listening to Barrett Walk's words, felt extremely disgruntled that this person dared to ignore her. She suddenly patted herself down, revealing a regretful expression as she said, "Oh! I left my wallet in my BMW. Do you know what kind of car a BMW is? It's the kind that..."

Watching this little girl spew contemptuous words, Barrett Walk suddenly stepped forward, raised his foot high, and kicked her in the face, sending her flying. Impatiently, he said, "Stop standing there and do something! Attack!"

Barrett Walk turned to the group, and then said, "Irrelevant people, get lost!" With a light wave of his hand, from today onwards, the entire eastern part of the city belonged to the Fa Shen gang; he was the underground king of the entire east!

All the gangs in the east united to suppress the rising Fa Shen gang, with no one expecting them to succeed. Many fence-sitters in the gangs had already fled. However, after the battle, the Fa Shen gang completely swept away all the territories of the eastern city in a single night. The smaller gangs that were not swept away were hiding in corners, trembling. They could not understand why the Fa Shen gang, like it had taken some kind of stimulant, had risen so powerfully. From tomorrow, the most chaotic part of the eastern city would be completely unified, and become a major gang that could compete with the likes of the western city and the city gang.

However, not many people had faith in the Fa Shen gang, as it had risen too quickly and its foundation was not stable. Moreover, it was rumored that when they were sweeping the territories, they had beaten Moshe Lauder's little sister. Everyone was watching to see if the Fa Shen gang, located in the eastern city, could withstand the anger of the city gang.

Barrett Walk had become a big shot who could be mentioned in the same breath as Moshe Lauder and Conte, but it was clear that Barrett Walk's rise had only taken a few days, and he wanted much more than that.
