134.Fight Incident (Part 5)

As Barrett Walker looked at the unflattering photos of himself, he was overcome with indignation. Slamming the photos onto the table, he paid no mind to the perplexed teachers and defiantly strode out of the office. After glancing around, he suddenly rolled his eyes, pursed his lips, and began to cry uncontrollably in front of everyone, his wailing echoing through the air, leaving everyone stunned by the dramatic display of emotions, ranging from bewilderment to confusion.

"Goodness gracious! Why are you crying like this?" Barrett Walker repeated these two sentences over and over, his voice booming like a priest chanting a mantra, leaving everyone unable to comprehend what he was actually saying. He tightly embraced the young girl, continuing to wail and moan.

This left everyone utterly bewildered, with expressions of disbelief etched on their faces as they looked at Barrett Walker holding the young girl, who made no attempt to resist, allowing herself to be embraced. Even the girl's grandfather wore a look of shock and confusion, forgetting to continue crying as he stared blankly at Barrett Walker.

"What is going on here?"

"What in the world is happening here?"

"You ask me, who do I ask? Hurry up and take photos, and send this news out."

"Ah! This person was involved in some hooliganism yesterday! Quickly separate them!"

Instantly, the crowd roared and rushed forward to separate Barrett Walker and the young girl. The young girl gasped for air, her large, beautiful eyes flashing with shock before turning to fear, suddenly bursting into tears and pointing at Barrett Walker, exclaiming, "He was the ringleader of those people yesterday!"

This caused an outcry of anger, with everyone glaring at Barrett Walker, some even clenching their fists. If this weren't the War God Academy, someone would have likely taken the lead in giving this unruly individual a good thrashing. However, Barrett Walker seemed completely unaware of the anger he had incited, being pushed aside and left to wail and sob, his mournful cries resonating through the air, evoking tears from those who heard.

"What is he doing, bringing shame upon the War God Academy? Hmm! This is truly disgraceful!" Harry Phoenix looked at Barrett Walker's wailing with a frown of displeasure.

"Yes, this man has quite the nerve!" Cornell Hanni maintained his cold demeanor but added a hint of admiration.

Singh Phoenix, on the other hand, looked on in astonishment. He nudged Glenn, whispering, "Darling, you're in for some trouble in the future!"

Upon hearing Singh Phoenix's words, Glenn rolled her eyes and replied, "How much trouble can I be in? If he annoys me, I'll just have him expelled! When the Master asks about his precious disciple, I'll say he didn't meet the requirements and left due to his own embarrassment."

Hidden in the crowd, Saint-Hailey watched the chaos unfold, feeling quite pleased with himself. While he felt some regret at tarnishing the reputations of these people, the increase in his prestige within the War God Academy would somewhat make up for his losses.

Watching Barrett Walker's tearful display and his repeated muttering of those two sentences, the crowd of impassioned, hot-headed individuals began to calm down slightly. Feeling embarrassed to continue causing a scene, Barrett Walker found himself unable to continue crying. Using his saliva to moisten his eye sockets, he waited until the crowd had quieted down, then raised his head, tears glistening, and loudly asked the young girl, "Why did you do this?"

The crowd was left bewildered once again, wondering what was really happening.

"You have defiled my daughter, and now you dare to play the victim!" The old man, fearing that the money he had been promised for his performance might not materialize, and realizing that this was tarnishing the reputation of the War God Academy's students, didn't give Barrett Walker a chance to speak, quickly drowning out his attempts.

"Yes, irrefutable evidence! How do you plan to defend yourselves? Give these father and daughter an explanation. The War God Academy must show responsibility. If the academy dares to protect and shield the students in this matter, I will risk being dismissed but will still publish this shocking article," a fervent journalist declared. Only he knew what was truly in his heart as he adopted this righteous stance.

"I knew he couldn't be trusted!" Benni Branco sighed and shook his head in resignation, unable to fathom a solution to this nearly unsolvable predicament. How could a new student so easily unravel this deceitful scheme?

"Do you remember what happened last night?" Cornell Hanni looked at the five students with exasperation, feeling a deep sense of resentment towards these simple-minded individuals.

"What else could have happened? Isn't it obvious?" Singh Phoenix retorted irritably. These people had brought in so many others to set up this situation. Wasn't it a game against the War God Academy? Did they really believe they could act recklessly and get away with it? If the War God Academy decided to act recklessly, there would be no room for reasoning with them.

Barrett Walker pitifully looked at the crowd, realizing that not everyone had been swayed. Some onlookers had begun to watch from a distance, indicating that his plan to sow discord had been effective. The first step was accomplished, sowing the seeds in their minds; he would use these seeds to turn the tide later. It was time for the second step, to lure the snake out of its hole. Barrett Walker had also discerned that many of the radicals were merely pawns in the game. Suddenly, his expression hardened, and he walked up to the journalist, tearing off his press badge in front of everyone. His actions had indeed infuriated many of his fellow journalists, creating a stir in the crowd.

Looking at the badge, Barrett Walker couldn't help but sneer, "Daniel Offman, from the Bright Daily. This news agency is quite prominent, isn't it? You must have a promising future!"

"Hmph! That's none of your business," the journalist retorted, attempting to snatch back his press badge. Luckily for him, he wasn't an imposter; he had been bribed to cause a commotion here, so he felt no fear.

Barrett Walker found nothing amiss with the journalist's press badge, but seeing his calm and composed demeanor, Barrett Walker could roughly guess the situation. However, as he looked at those who had been causing the most trouble and those who were avoiding eye contact, he realized that his plan to lure the snake out of its hole had indeed been effective. He pulled several people out from among the journalists, but in his eagerness, he exerted too much force, causing them to fall to the ground. This action marked a turning point for Barrett Walker, as the crowd's initial sympathy turned into anger. How dare he act so outrageously in front of so many people!

"I knew he was unreliable! What should we do?"

"What else can we do? It's just death, and nothing more. The honor of the War God Academy must not be compromised!" Several people, realizing that their only hope had been shattered, were willing to die for the academy's honor and the honor of the warrior.

Saint-Hailey watched as Barrett Walker completely infuriated the crowd, apprehending his trusted companions. Knowing that the time was ripe and there could be no further delay, he quickly squeezed through the crowd and addressed everyone, "Everyone, listen to me! Let's all calm down. They have committed a heinous act and deserve to be punished. On behalf of the Student Council's Propaganda Department, I promise you all that the War God Academy is not a haven for filth."

"I think the War God Academy is exactly that, a haven for filth!" Barrett Walker coldly remarked, further enraging those students who had been more reserved. He seemed to be digging his own grave, yet had no self-awareness, saying, "The dirtiest one here is you. Thieves cry 'stop thief,' truly shameless!"

Barrett Walker tore open the clothes of the journalists, revealing their seemingly dignified appearance but with bodies covered in all kinds of colorful tattoos. This completely shocked everyone who was watching.
