163.Stirring up Trouble

"Have you heard? There was a massive battle in the eastern part of the city last night! It was a brutal fight."

"Ah, I was also hoping to go and see the excitement, but unfortunately."

"What excitement? The God-slaying Squad is as good as cooked in a pot, how could they possibly defy the odds and rise up? It's clear that the God-slaying Squad is doomed to lose."

The campus was abuzz with various discussions early in the morning. There were so many events that happened last night. The students from the War God Academy who were undergoing military training unexpectedly returned early, but the students from other schools didn't leave. Instead, they joined the other students and entered a different course.

Barrett Walker yawned. He had been in a fight last night, and it was really pointless. It just dragged down his sleep time. Listening to the discussions of the people around the hallway, how could they possibly know that the God-slaying Squad, which was as lifeless as a dead fish, would suddenly rise up like they were invigorated by some miracle drug.

"Where were you last night? You look very tired!" Monica and Julia were waiting downstairs early in the dormitory, they needed to have a serious conversation with Barrett Walker. Seeing that Barrett Walker had come out without wearing his military uniform, wearing only a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, with slippers on his feet and carrying firewood on his back, yawning incessantly, he appeared somewhat unbelievable.

"Hey! Why aren't you saying anything?" Barrett Walker looked at the two of them with a blank stare. Julia hurriedly reached out and waved her hand in front of Barrett Walker's eyes. Could this guy be ignoring them?

Barrett Walker finally came to his senses, yawned, scratched his head, and gave an embarrassed smile. "What's up?"

"What else could it be? Are you going to military training dressed like that now?" Seeing Barrett Walker's nonchalant and indifferent appearance, Monica felt so frustrated! How could this person be like this?

"Oh, you mean this? This outfit is comfortable. Let's go! If you want to talk to me about something, we'll do it in the cafeteria. I'll treat you to breakfast!" Barrett Walker took out some money from his pocket, realizing that he had been quite lucky last night. As soon as he left the house, he happened to come across the BMW described by Hila Lloyd. He knocked on the window, took out the money from inside, and considered it a lucky find.

"Where did you get this money from?" Monica was well aware of Barrett Walker's financial situation, which was utterly dismal. Seeing Barrett Walker take out several hundred yuan from his bag, she asked in confusion.

"Don't worry about it. Let's go, or else we'll be late for military training." Barrett Walker plucked up the courage and boldly put his arms around the shoulders of the two women and headed towards the nearest cafeteria.

The two women were taken aback by Barrett Walker's intimate gesture, but it also strengthened their determination to have a serious talk with him. When they entered the cafeteria, the sight of the strange trio, especially the extraordinary beauty of the two women, made people's minds wander. However, when they saw Barrett Walker, their expressions suddenly turned ugly, making it seem as if they had eaten a fly and felt uncomfortable.

Stolen novel; please report.

Barrett Walker calmly accepted the strange looks from the people around him. After all, the beauty of the two women by his side was a bit too much. He found a place for them to sit, and said, "Wait here! I'll go buy some food." Without giving the two women a chance to refuse or even asking them what they wanted to eat, he went domineeringly towards the food stall.

"Do you feel like he has changed now?" Monica sat there and asked first.

"Yeah! He's become more domineering than before, and he likes to show off. I don't know if this is good or bad!" Julia sighed slightly. Compared to the current Barrett Walker, she preferred the shy but kind-hearted Barrett Walker from before. Now he always likes to show off, and sometimes he's just looking for trouble. She didn't like this kind of man!

"Two beautiful ladies, may I have the honor of introducing myself?" With a group of followers in tow, Green Eyes approached the cafeteria and immediately laid eyes on the two stunning women dressed in military attire. As he spoke, the scar on his face contorted, giving him a terrifying appearance. Any ordinary girl would have been frightened and taken cover at the sight of it.

"Go away," Monica glanced at him, feeling repulsed by his green eyes and white hair.

"I'm telling you, you bitch, don't act ignorant. You know Laurie Brons, don't you? She's not here." One of the henchmen behind Green Eyes stepped forward, speaking angrily.

Barrett Walker didn't care for the delicate and nutritious foods such as rice porridge, steamed bread, or milk bread in the morning. He preferred noodles and rice noodles, especially the spicy kind that invigorated the senses. So, he made himself a spicy rice noodle dish with plenty of vegetables, while the two women were served clear soup with claypot rice noodles. As they saw Green Eyes and his entourage, Barrett quickened his pace.

Upon hearing the henchman's insults, he threw the scalding hot claypot noodles at him, causing the henchman to scream in pain as his face turned bright red. The others looked at Barrett with an expression of regret on his face, as if he had done something wrong. However, his words were even more infuriating: "What a waste!"

Listening to his henchman's screams, they were all senior students, yet they were being bullied by a seemingly junior student. Green Eyes looked up at Barrett from across the two women, with a cold smile on his face as he said, "I don't care who you are, apologize immediately, or I'll cut off your hands and spare your life!"

"What's the matter, scared to break the so-called rules?" Barrett scoffed. He had wanted to enjoy a good meal, but his mood was completely ruined.

"Let's go," Julia said, feeling sorry for the man's screams and not wanting to provoke the large group of people. They still had military training to attend to this early in the morning!

"What, you want to leave after causing harm?" A large group of people gathered around, sneering at the two women as they stood up.

"And what do you want?" Monica sneered. She didn't know who this person was, but this early morning disturbance was affecting her mood.

"Entertain us for a night, and we'll forgive your medical expenses."

"Your dorm must be really lousy! Come stay in our luxury apartment! Entertain us, and you'll have a nice place to stay!"

"One night is not enough, it needs to be several nights. We'll only stop when we've had enough fun!"

"You're asking for trouble," Barrett kicked over the table, and the bowl of noodles in his hand landed on the faces of the group, thoroughly aggravating him.

Green Eyes jumped out, kicking over a table and sneering, "You started this! Don't blame us for outnumbering and intimidating you."

"Too much nonsense," Barrett disdainfully said, preparing to take down the ringleader.
