174.Speech

Outside the classroom window, two tiny figures huddled beneath, listening to the angry outburst of Glenna. One of the small ones, rising from the ground, reached out with chubby hands, grasping the window sill in an attempt to climb up. Catching sight of Glenna's visage, as calm as a storm, the little one abruptly jumped down. His plump face was filled with fury, yet his cherubic appearance exuded nothing but adorableness, with an air of innocence that made him instantly lovable. Huffing with indignation, he directed his words towards the other tiny figure: "Grinny! That guy has upset your sister."

"Oh dear! Aiden, don't come near me, it's too hot! Move away a bit," Grinny hastily pushed Caesar Phoenix, who was crouching in front of her, resulting in Caesar Phoenix falling awkwardly on his bottom, his face a picture of dejection.

"This guy! I must seek revenge on him!" Grinny huffed in anger, lifting Caesar Phoenix from the ground and dragging him to the side of the classroom. The two of them, with their endearing appearances, were as delicate as porcelain dolls, but the strength displayed by Grinny was in no way related to the fragility of porcelain!

"What's the matter!" Barrett Walker wasn't entirely slow to react. Glenna's furious roar instantly jolted him awake. Due to the excessive swaying, he bumped his head against the wall, leaving him unable to articulate his pain. However, the fact that so many people were watching him made him uncomfortable.

Observing Barrett Walker's comical actions, the entire classroom burst into laughter.

"What's the matter? Where were you last night? Why are you sleeping in class?" Glenna's tone was almost accusatory.

If Barrett Walker had paid careful attention to her demands, he would have known that the management at the War God Academy was not very strict in the classroom. However, it was evident that Barrett Walker hadn't heard her. He hadn't slept well last night, with constant battles between the War God Faction and the City Faction. If it weren't for his interventions, the fledgling War God Faction would have been completely wiped out by the City Faction. This also gave Barrett Walker a rough idea of the City Faction's strength. What was even more frustrating for him was that he had to continue fighting upon his return to the dormitory, until he had defeated the five ruffians and could finally sleep in peace!

Being questioned in this manner by Glenna made him feel very frustrated; why were women so petty? He refused to believe that he was the only one sleeping in class and that he had been caught by her, especially since he had deliberately hidden behind others to sleep! But he couldn't say any of these things. Instead, he raised his hand to quiet the laughter, causing the students, who were afraid of chaos, to settle down and watch the drama unfold.

It seemed that he had become quite famous, Barrett Walker had not expected this group of people to be so obedient. Each of them had an expectant look on their face. This time, he was not going to leave. "Teacher Glenna, why can't I sleep in class?"

"Don't ask such a foolish question. You are insulting my intelligence," Glenna wanted to kick him out immediately. However, this was not military training anymore. If she expelled him simply for sleeping, it wouldn't look good for her reputation. People might think she was being biased. However, upon further reflection, the question was indeed too simple. She immediately responded, "Because your sleeping affects others, and it affects me too."

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

"Is that so? Did I snore while sleeping? Did my peaceful slumber disrupt your teaching? It seems not! And what are these rules and regulations? Meaningless things! Is it wrong for me to take a brief rest? If there is any fault, it is that we are not gods yet, and we still need to sleep! We still need to rest our eyes!" Barrett Walker spoke loudly, seemingly oblivious to the fascinating expressions on the faces of others. After all, no one could possibly turn black and white upside down with such ease. It was quite astonishing!

Glenna was seething with anger in her heart! She should have thought carefully before answering his question, but instead, she fell into his trap. It seems he had premeditated this! Speculating with frustration and malice, she found him truly detestable, gritting her teeth with rage and wishing she could sink her teeth into Barrett Walker and tear off a piece of his flesh. However, she quickly composed herself and smiled gracefully, as if she were the melting snow on the Tianshan Mountains. "Please find a seat and sit down. I will continue the class now." She was determined to delay and make these students hate him.

"This woman really holds grudges! She knew there was no seat left, yet she insisted on making someone else sit down," Barrett Walker thought to himself. He had undressed Glenna in his mind countless times, and even thrown her to the ground many times, but these were just thoughts. Suddenly, his eyes lit up. He didn't realize he had such good character!

"Over here!" Alice disregarded the other team members' attempts to stop her and gave up her seat to Barrett Walker, waving to him.

Under the scrutiny of everyone, Barrett Walker quickly ran over and sat down, smiling at Alice. "Thank you!" His heart was blooming with joy, feeling as if he had resolved the issue for himself. But at the same time, he couldn't help but wonder who this beautiful woman was. She dared to go against Glenna's wishes and let him sit. Could she have feelings for him? Barrett Walker couldn't help but fix his hair, feeling self-absorbed, apparently forgetting the incident that had occurred outside the school a few days ago.

"One thing you all must remember in the future is to respect your teachers and show reverence, and absolutely do not fall asleep in class. Otherwise, go back to your dorm room..." Glenna looked at Barrett Walker, sitting there smugly, and felt an overwhelming sense of anger in her heart. But then she said, "You are all students of the mecha department, and I have a question for you. Who knows the answer?"

"Barrett Walker, it's you," Glenna said with a smile.

"This is a blatant act of personal revenge!" Barrett Walker really wanted to stand up and rebuke her, but that was just a thought. He couldn't give her any more ammunition. He stood up suddenly, wanting to answer loudly that he didn't know, but he thought better of it. He carefully recalled the mechas he had encountered in his previous life, which were different from those shown in movies and anime, but were actual mechas.

"Mecha, or mobile armored suits, are large, bipedal or multi-legged war machines. They often appear in science fiction and games, and are the enticing, controlled combat robots we are familiar with, operated directly by individuals or through remote information links, and controlled by an intelligent computer system." Barrett Walker said proudly. In his previous life, he had been a recluse, but he had not lacked exposure to this information.

Glenna was shaken by this. How could he be so knowledgeable? The definition and classification of mechas were still under research, and she had only just learned about them a few days ago. The relatively independent Mecha Research Center at the Warrior Academy had not even made this information public!
