Barrett Walker was about to speak, but suddenly felt an itch on his neck, making him uncomfortable all over. It felt as if he had been bitten by a mosquito, and when he reached to scratch it, he pulled out a tiny needle from his neck. He tried to turn his head to look, but suddenly felt dizzy and fell forward. Before losing consciousness, he felt a sense of comfort and took advantage of the situation.
Glenna embraced Barrett Walker and, seeing what had happened, she said in an embarrassed tone, "Glynnis! Come out right now!"
Sure enough, Glynnis and Caesar Phoenix crawled out from under Barrett Walker, not far behind. These two children had squeezed in during the busiest time, so no one had noticed them. The reason Barrett Walker was affected was because these two children did not have any ill will towards him. Their mental strength was weak, just like people wouldn't guard against mosquitoes.
Glenna looked at the wooden dragon head staff in Glynnis's hand, her face changed instantly, as if a storm was about to come. She snatched it from Glynnis and angrily said, "How did you get this thing?"
Her accusing tone made Glynnis flustered, never expecting her beloved sister to reprimand her. However, she remained silent, staring back with silent resistance, needing courage more than ever.
"I'm asking you, where did you get this thing from?" Glenna looked at Glynnis's stubborn expression, feeling a pang of pain. She wanted to soften her tone, but the seriousness of the situation made her speak more forcefully.
"Glenna, sister!" Seeing Glynnis's stubbornness, Caesar Phoenix could not intervene and felt extremely anxious.
"Shut up! This is none of your business." Today, Glenna was like a ticking time bomb, ready to explode at anyone.
"Oh!" Caesar Phoenix's chubby face showed helplessness, and being reprimanded by Glenna made him tighten his little face and remain silent.
"You'll answer for this later!" Glenna quickly pulled out her phone and dialed a number urgently. Soon, the head of the department and other officials arrived, looking puzzled at first. However, when they saw the dragon head staff in Glenna's hand, their expressions turned serious.
"What's going on?" Ang Lee, with his usual jovial demeanor, also had a serious expression upon seeing the staff. It was the first time he looked so serious.
Glynnis seemed to sense the unpredictability of the situation and innocently said, "I found this black thing and didn't know whose it was. I saw him bullying my sister in class, so I gave him a lesson!" Clearly, Glynnis knew she had done something wrong and made her sister unhappy. Speaking in front of Ang Lee, her chances of being punished were much smaller than in front of Glenna. This girl was quite mischievous!
Glenna looked around and, seeing no outsiders, whispered, "This dragon head staff was the token of the former head of the Divine Sword Sect, always kept by my grandfather. After he died... this thing disappeared." Glenna's voice was low, and the object brought back memories of past events.
After Glenna's explanation, Ang Lee understood the general reason. The missing treasure had appeared mysteriously in Glynnis's hands. He squatted in front of Glynnis, trying to make his smile as gentle and infectious as possible. "Glynnis, where did you get this thing from?"

"It was me who gave it to her." Suddenly, a voice rang out, as if thunder from the sky, giving a sense of exhilaration and making people feel enlightened. Everyone turned to see Danus Leao, dressed in a white silk Tang suit, exuding a sense of elegance and vitality.
The doubt deepened, but no one dared to question him. He walked to the table, glanced at Barrett Walk, and reached out to flip his eyelids and check his pulse. Then he effortlessly lifted Barrett Walk onto his shoulder, looking at Glenna as he said, "This dragon-headed cane is a treasure of your family. Keep it safe and don't let Grinny play with it anymore."
"Alright, I will," Glenna said quietly, but countless questions continued to swirl in the minds of the onlookers.
When Barrett Walk woke up, he felt surrounded by darkness and the gusts of wind cutting his skin. He first checked if the dry sword was still on his back, then he curled up, hugging himself and trying to catch his breath. As he looked around, he realized he was in a cave, with dripping water chilling him to the bone. The surroundings were filled with strange rock formations, breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites. Suddenly, a figure in the distance startled him, but upon closer inspection, it was someone he had seen at the premiere of the new "A Chinese Ghost Story" movie, none other than the dean of the Academy of War Gods, Danus Leo.
"Sit down," he said softly without opening his eyes, and Barrett Walk obediently sat cross-legged across a pool of water.
"This is the depths of the Dragon Scale Cave, where it is said that dragons shed their scales and ascend. Many people come here seeking opportunities. The most dangerous thing here is the climate, but also the safest. If you can get out of here, perhaps you will find your own opportunity, and then I will formally accept you as a disciple of the school." His words were light, almost like a strange kind of sound wave, resonating and firmly imprinting them in Barrett Walk's mind.
Barrett Walk couldn't believe his luck. To be accepted as a disciple by him would not only be an honor, but also a manifestation of opportunity. If this was true, then he would have been taught by the two most powerful people he knew! It was so sudden that he felt like he was in a dream, but the cold sensation made him realize it was real. He asked, "Dean! How did I faint just now?"
"It shouldn't be called 'just now,' it was a month ago," Danus Leo said with no emotion in his voice.
"A month!" Barrett Walk's eyes widened, clearly not expecting it, but looking at Danus Leo's calm demeanor, it was most likely true.
"The climate in this Dragon Scale Cave can suppress your bodily functions and slow down the flow of the peach blossom fragrance in your body, so you were able to wake up within a month. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been as simple as a month." Danus Leo explained.
Barrett Walk understood that if it wasn't for his strong body, the 'peach blossom fragrance' in his body would have taken much longer to dissipate. He whispered a "thank you" to Danus Leo, believing that he could hear his gratitude. Then he stood up and walked out to search for the so-called opportunity.
To receive the Sword of Life and Death during military training, what could he gain this time? Barrett Walk was overjoyed, clearly unconcerned about sleeping for a month in this place.
As Barrett Walk walked out, he was increasingly amazed by the splendor of the Dragon Scale Cave. The various shapes of stalactites resembled playful monkeys, towering mountain ranges, or descending tigers, and there were vast stone forests. All of this was formed in prehistoric times, and while he was amazed by its beauty, he couldn't figure out where the danger lay.
"Where am I supposed to go to take care of this issue?" Barrett Walker had been holding it in for a month, and now, not long after setting off, he couldn't hold it in any longer. However, in such a beautiful environment, Barrett Walker couldn't bring himself to hide behind a large rock to attend to his bodily needs.
Finally, Barrett Walker found a place where he could relieve himself without guilt. He took off his pants and began to relieve himself, squatting there. But the next moment, Barrett Walker's face showed embarrassment, not because of the lack of privacy, but because he realized he hadn't brought any paper.
