165.The Thief Cries Thief

"Humph! Do you really think I don't know what kind of training this is supposed to be!" Barrett Walker was very clear about the military training model of the War God Academy, even clearer than Glena, but he didn't know about the training in that base. The reason for his confidence came entirely from his three years of college in the previous life. The most he did was kill monsters in the second world.

Barrett Walker ran to this building, found the main valve of the second world's portal, and connected to the portal. Suddenly he felt a strong electric current passing through him, and his body felt like a celestial pond, with the bioelectricity inside him constantly transmitting outward. Barrett Walker appeared in the second world.

Because he did not enter through the War God Academy's unique equipment, his account was still his original one, with no money or possessions. Nevertheless, he was still the savior of the second world! It was somewhat pathetic, but at least it was a source of humor. With the code name 'Mad', he raised his hands, took a deep breath, and though the air was murky, it had more humanity than the real world. It was because of this that the federation could constrain so many people in the absence of energy.

Barrett Walker did not rush into the important passages and participate in the military training of the various academies. Instead, he walked on the street, enjoying the bustle. It had been a long time since he had been here. As he passed by a movie theater, he saw the huge poster of Julia's new version of "A Chinese Ghost Story" that she directed and starred in. Her ethereal beauty made people involuntarily think of certain evil things, and her allure was even more captivating in ancient attire.

Barrett Walker really wanted to see it again, but he decided against it. He walked towards the Association of Power Warriors, which did not have the luxury of the old government departments, nor the gilded words 'Serving the People'. It only had a wooden sign, giving it the style of an ancient inn where heroes gathered to cause trouble. Upon entering, he saw several people in eccentric attire, engaged in animated conversation.

"Ah! Luck is really damn bad these days! If I worked a little harder, I could have entered the War God Academy."

"Humph! So what if you don't enter the War God Academy, we can still train with them! With my looks, if I get in, I'll be a hero saving the beauty. Even if I don't save the beauty, I'll probably have the pretty girls from the War God Academy throwing themselves at me!"

"Yes! With our looks, we are the center of attention wherever we go. I spent twenty dollars yesterday getting my ears pierced on the street. Look, our dressing is incomparable to ordinary people. Isn't it beautiful?"

Listening to their affected manner, Barrett Walker looked outside and realized he hadn't gone to the wrong place. Hearing them talk uninhibitedly in their own world, Barrett Walker felt so depressed. Did they really need to discuss their eccentric attire, their long hair, and the holes in their clothes? This was the Association of Power Warriors. If people saw this, where would the face of these power warriors go?

"Old man, I want to enter the Cloud Mist Marsh map," Barrett Walker said to the NPC behind the counter, who was dozing off. Listening to their mockery, he just wanted to leave as soon as possible. He slammed the table hard, the sound scaring people.

These people were startled by the sudden sound and looked at Barrett Walker dissatisfied. Were you jealous or envious? Envious that we are more handsome and cooler than you? Did you need to use so much force? But after hearing Barrett Walker's words, these people sneered and said, "Oh! You, with that poor look, still want to go to the Cloud Mist Marsh. Let me tell you! The Cloud Mist Marsh is too dangerous. You'd better hurry back to Mars!"

Barrett Walker listened to their mockery, but instead of being angry, he was disgusted. How were these guys not any different from the woman last night? They were just nauseating. But Barrett Walker didn't argue with them, or even look at them, not because he disdained them, but because it was unnecessary. It would only elevate their intelligence, and he was not a selfless person, dedicated to benefiting others.

But Barrett Walker's silence only made this group of people think he was afraid, and their arrogance became even more pronounced.

"Hello! I invite you to join our family! The membership fee is only 120,000, and I'll make you a vice commander."

"Oh, big brother, you are just too kind! Look at this poor guy, if he can come up with a hundred bucks, I'll give up my steward position and let him take over!"

"Brother, don't be impulsive! Your steward position cost 500,000! Although 500,000 isn't much, you can't buy it now!"

"Yes, brother, you're right. Although I don't care about this mere 500,000, positions are hard to come by. I'll follow your advice."

Barrett Walker just wanted to turn around and vomit in their faces. They were shameless, brainless, and too powerful. He was at a loss for words to describe his frustration. Should he not stop them and let them continue to disgust everyone in the hall, or should he stop them and disgust himself? It was a difficult decision.

The old NPC opened one eye and glanced at Barrett Walker, then closed his eyes. But he pointed to his head, and Barrett looked up to see a few lines of clear writing: opening hours from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm, and it was only 8:50 pm, so there were still 40 minutes left!

Barrett became anxious. He really didn't want to listen to these idiots. How long would he have to wait? If those people walked away, who would he find? There was no point in training! He immediately flipped over the counter and reached for the key on the old man's waist.

The old man opened his eyes, which sparkled. These intelligent NPCs were set to be very powerful in battle. Now, Barrett was attempting to take the key, which was like trying to pull teeth from a tiger's mouth. The old man was like a sleeping lion and suddenly lunged forward, breaking the bench he was sitting on. He evaded Barrett's hand, and then his hands, swinging like a whip, struck Barrett's chest. Barrett was thrown back, crashing out of the wooden counter, and the people nearby screamed and dodged.

"What kind of people are you! Can't you be more polite?"

"Oh my goodness! This old man is so fierce, what did he eat when he was young!"

"He actually dares to fight with an NPC, how brainless! Come and watch, there's a brainless person here, a pure brainless person, come quickly!"

"Your world is beyond my understanding," Barrett said, despite being knocked back. As he landed, he felt the pain in his chest. He hadn't expected this guy to be a martial arts expert!

"Five thousand, pay up, or I'll call the police," the old man said, opening his eyes, which now looked shrewd. He held out a withered hand and said.

"Why don't you go rob a bank!" Barrett said unkindly, suddenly moving. He didn't want to be a sitting duck. He intentionally dashed between the people as if he were a truck racing at 200 kilometers per hour. The strong wind blew past, leaving the people staggering.

"You're doing it on purpose! You're asking for trouble!"

"He is doing it on purpose, this guy is crazy!" Although these people weren't hit by Barrett, they were still embarrassed, especially with their perfectly styled hair now disheveled and some of them with low-quality hair gel plastered on their faces. It was clear that this man's thinking was beyond understanding, and they had no idea what he was thinking.

"General! Well done!" the old man said in a very humane manner and nodded softly. As Barrett Walker's fist came at him, he intercepted it horizontally, his hand acting like two doors that did not clash with Barrett Walker, but rather kept him outside one of the doors. Listening to the absurd and ridiculous performance of this group of people, he found it somewhat intolerable and had no intention of enduring it any longer. Instead, he took a step back and drew the battle into their midst, causing the group to scream and scramble in a chaotic manner.

The NPC seemed to hesitate slightly, perhaps because these few individuals had not caused trouble. This gave Barrett Walker the perfect opportunity to strike with a Black Tiger Steals Heart, causing the NPC to hurriedly reach out to block, but Barrett Walker's other hand suddenly descended and grabbed the key at his waist.
