29. Three Smelly Cobblers

29. Three Smelly Cobblers

"Barron! What should we do?" Danny stood at the door, unsure of what to do. Should we silence everyone here for good?

"I don't know!" Barron also became anxious, vigorously ran his fingers through his flowing golden hair, his hands full of sweat. The atmosphere in the entire ward was extremely solemn. Barron paced back and forth anxiously. Time couldn't be wasted; a decision had to be made quickly. Otherwise, it wouldn't be good if people outside discovered that these individuals hadn't left.

"Heh! A feast was laid out by the heavens, but I wasn't given utensils. How absurd!" Barrett Walker lay on the hospital bed, thinking about his miraculous body being ignored and feeling faint. What irony!

"Brother, I'm sorry. Even if it means revealing the scars, I have to say it. Otherwise, you won't have a good outcome." Barron looked at the despondent Barrett Walker on the bed, with a determined look, and asked Hughes and the other doctors, "Do you know who he is?"

"I don't know!" Hughes shook his head in confusion.

"I think you can see, his last name is Walker!" Barron pointed at Barrett Walker, his tone carrying a hint of anger.

"Young master! I know his last name is Walker, but it doesn't mean he belongs to the War God family. Almost all the descendants of the War God family have perished, and the young generation has only one surviving member. They often appear in major newspapers. In the entire federation, how many people don't recognize the War God family?" Hughes was completely unfazed by the magnitude of the situation and even spoke with mockery.

"I think your education has really rotted your brains. Do you think that someone with these genes, bearing the surname Walker, and being friends with me, Rockefeller, and Terence, could be anyone other than a member of the War God family?" Barron did not back down, speaking firmly as he pointed to Terence, who was blocking the door.

This caused quite a stir. If it could have been taken as a joke earlier, now that Barron had revealed the truth, the doctors and nurses looked at Barrett Walker's expression differently. The War God family had made numerous sacrifices for the entire federation, and everyone had seen what the Walker family had given up. However, they had not seen whether each person in the Walker family was willing, as his mother was the sacred sacrifice. So, Barrett Walker respected and yet disliked the Walker family.

But the reputation of the Walker family, the War God family, was indeed very influential. Now, the three generations of the War God family, War God Mass Walker, the only five-star general, Morton Walker, and the 15-year-old prodigy, Gordon Walker, were well-known. However, no one knew about Barrett Walker, who fainted. If Barrett Walker was truly a member of the War God family, then the situation would be difficult. Although it was not known whether the other members of the Walker family had such genes, one could imagine that Barrett Walker had temporarily escaped the fate of being dissected for research.

"You have to have evidence to prove it!" Hughes persisted.

"Yes! You need evidence!" The doctors and nurses echoed.

"You can go to the federation for verification. I believe the Walker family will know about such a big matter and will verify it. I swear on the honor of the Rockefeller family." Barron sounded extremely sacred as he clenched his fist against his chest. The honor of the Rockefeller family could not be taken lightly. It was the fundamental driving force for the prosperity of the Rockefeller family.

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

"Good! I believe you. I will go verify it now!" Hughes knew how important the honor of the Rockefeller family's guarantee was, so he readily agreed.

"Danny, step aside and let them out!" Barron gave Hughes a meaningful look and said to Danny, who was blocking the door.

Seeing that everyone had left, Danny locked the door again. Only then did Barrett Walker speak, "By delaying time like this, you will let the Walker family know the truth. The person who sent me to the research institute for the federation will only make me suffer more! It might as well benefit your family."

"Being able to delay for a period of time is a victory in itself, isn't it?" Danny looked at Barrett Walker's pained expression, knowing that he wasn't very good at saying encouraging or playful words, but he still said a few words and then signaled to Barron to take over.

"Hmph! I really can't stand this coward, but I have to say, this time what he said sounds more like a human's words. Solutions are thought of by people. When they confirm your identity, the War God knowing later might not be so cruel!" Barron leaned against the bed, comforting Barrett Walker, but couldn't help but take a dig at Danny.

"I've come up with a plan. Let's escape now! Hide yourself, and they won't be able to find you." Danny suddenly exclaimed.

"As a typical failure, you are truly successful." In the current Human Federation, there was nowhere for Barrett Walker to go in his current state. It was truly puzzling whether this person had read too much and read his brain into ruin.

"Perhaps this plan is not bad!" Barrett Walker thought of those terrifying extraterrestrial creatures in the wild. Maybe it was his destiny to experience this, but it had never happened in his previous life. If it had happened, he should have been able to remember it! Perhaps it was Heaven's way of forcing him to overcome his fainting spells and toughen up.

After understanding this, Barrett Walker's eyes sparkled, as terrifying as a night owl.

"Three cobblers can surely produce a Zhuge Liang. Solutions will be found, so don't worry!" Barron looked at Barrett Walker's gleaming green eyes and thought he had been crushed by the pressure.

"You can't even speak properly, and you expect us to believe you?" Barron was on the verge of tears. Had his like-minded brother been driven mad like this?

"Please! He's just joking!" Danny cut off Barron's emotional buildup without patience.

"Hmph! I know. Just because a blind man can still be called blind, it doesn't mean they aren't a sightless person. The moment you two open your mouths, I know it's time to go to the bathroom." Barron's tone was deep, with a sense of decay and disgust as if he had seen through both of them.

"Hmph! You've been arrogant for quite a while now. Don't think you know everything." Danny was irritated by Barron's words.

"I suggest you don't overindulge in studying, because now your brain is filled with a mess like eight-treasure porridge, sticky and lumpy. Others might think it's tofu pudding!" Barrett Walker laughed and then said solemnly, "Stop joking. I hope you can help me get a sniper rifle. I want to go outside and challenge myself to see if I can cure my fainting spells."

"You need to think it through! Once you go outside, there's no turning back. We haven't graduated yet, so there's no need to experience the coming-of-age ceremony ahead of time." Danny's tone was heavy. According to federation laws, the children of parliament members must go outdoors to hunt a sufficient number of extraterrestrial creatures for the coming-of-age ceremony, to qualify for entry into the War God Academy.

"You have no other choice! Even though I've been expelled from the family, I still have the right to enter the War God Academy without the approval of the coming-of-age ceremony. But do I have any other options? None! I must overcome my fainting spells. If you're my brothers, then help me!" Barrett Walker's tone was undeniably firm.

"Alright! I support you. The three musketeers must not be underestimated by anyone." Danny held Barrett Walker's hand.

"Go! Go to the corner and draw circles! Just being three musketeers is good enough. Child, you've been tightly controlled by your grandfather and have been mentally tormented by the beauty in the books. You don't even understand how fierce the battles are in the top ten satellite cities every day!" Barron's tone started off teasing but became increasingly severe, with a serious expression on his face.
