The cool shade under the trees could help you a lot. Your sweat dripped from your forehead down to your chin. If you stay too long under the sun, you're afraid it's going to cause you to collapse. Your mouth felt so dry, and your tongue felt like sandpaper.
You crossed the road to get a better view of the forest. About a few feet away, you could see a lake, its water clear and glistening under the rays of the sun.
