Atlas released a shaky sigh. "God, what is happening? We've got this mysterious stuff we're figuring out, and now we have a serial killer on the loose."
"Mom said yes," you said.
"What did you tell her?"
You shrugged. "Does it matter? Where to now?"
"Home—I mean, the Forest Ranger Station."
