You wanted to roll your eyes and remind him of last night when he was dying to go to the library with Lucille, but you decided to stop yourself. Your stomach twisted as you slowly sat down beside Kristine.
"What happened to you?" Kristine asked.
"Something about my stomach," you replied, and then you and Atlas accidentally made eye contact.
You could tell in his eyes that he was thinking the same thing—about the things that you saw last night. Kristine noticed this and looked back and forth at you and Atlas.
"Woah, guys, you didn't tell me there's something going on between you two." She chuckled.
"No! There are none!" Atlas said.
"What?! No!" you said.
Kristine shrugged, but she didn't look convinced. "If you guys say so."
A tall, thin, timid-looking teen took the orders. It was Atlas who did a lot of talking. He was very insistent on what you should try because he told you he knew what was best. You let him since you don't have the stomach to look at the menu. The waiter left.
