Back in Lone man's bedroom, the warmth was undeniably comforting. He quickly rummaged through his closet as you stood near the window like a statue. Lone man gave you clothes that surprisingly fit you. He turned around as you wore his sweet-smelling clothes.
"So, after you turned into that form, did you still grow up? I mean, do you still age?" You asked him as you tried to work on the navy knit sweater and pajamas that he gave you.
Lone man nodded, facing the closet door. "Yes, I still age. I was just barely in my teens when the curse happened, and look at me now. I documented my height, right there. He pointed at the drawn lines on the wall next to the door. "But unlike normal humans, I age very slow. Like a turtle, I guess."
Stolen story; please report.
"I see," you muttered. "All done!"
Lone man turned around to look at you. He blinked a few times before telling you that you looked wonderful. He walked closer to you and took your hands in his. He felt so cold again.
"I want you to listen to me now more than ever," he said. "Can you please do that for me?"
You nodded. He seemed serious.
"I will be doing the spell I found in the book near the town tonight," Lone man said. "Please listen, I don't want you around me. I want you to stay here. If something weird happens, I want you to run as fast as you can back to the main road."
You tried to reason with him the way you had before, but he shut you off immediately. You had no choice but to comply.
