It has been almost a week since the reveal. Atlas spent his days outside, on the outskirts of the forest, just staring into the woods. You stayed in the station ever since, trying to piece together Atlas’s past. It seems like he’s currently in denial. Maybe he feels like he’s losing it.

And you’re here to bring him clarity.

As you reviewed the contents of the box, you discovered heartbreaking details about Atlas. You’re not sure how Atlas would take the things you’ve found out.

The small notebook contains records about Atlas, whose name was originally Sal. Basically, he is a being who could only continue life at the expense of human lives. The pages were mostly ruined, but you can make out strange symbols and equations—some sort of computation of a number of human years into Sal’s years.

Some of the pages say:

Sal ages slowly, like me, like my father, my grandfather...

It’s me and him alone in this cruel world, and I must do my best to protect him.

You flipped through the ruined pages until you reached one page close to the end.

Sal has a new friend named Lucian. A boy who lives in a small house in the forest, just like him, is a very lonely boy.
