The fights after that were bland with Rank 6s with high stats fighting as anyone would expect. The next note worthy fight was Semilore versus a member of another settlement.
Semilore had only his crude armor on, his armor had very heavy looking heavy gauntlets, he didn’t use any weapon at all, and he stood like a boxer and it all made sense to Deji. His physique was that of heavy weight boxer, Semilore was a boxer when he was still human and he was probably the inventor of the air boxing he spoke about.
Semilore strafed to his opponent who also wore crude armor and held a sword that was alight with yellow aura. Semilore jabbed with his right, it was blocked by the sword’s edge, and at the same time the opponents head swayed to the left.
Semilore jabbed with his right again and the opponent blocked but his head swayed to the left again. The opponent staggered back weakly, that was when they spectators noticed his swollen cheek. The opponent sent a thrust with his sword, but Semilore side stepped it and punched hard with his right toward his opponents head.
The opponent successfully blocked with his sword but his head swayed to the left and he staggered back in a daze. The opponent was clearly dizzy and on the verge of falling down, with blood running down his nose and bleeding lips but he stood firm.
Semilore didn’t let the opponent rest; he knew with a High Human’s body a rest of a few seconds would be very beneficial especially in a fight that was not to the death. Semilore sent another right which the opponent moved away from… only to have his head swayed to the left again. He fell down flat on the floor unmoving and Semilore was declared the winner by the shy and uncomfortable host.
Everyone was confused thinking ‘What did he do?’ it seemed like Semilore’s punches were impossible to evade but Mira knew what measure to take. ‘Avoid the energy zone’ she thought.
There were other spectacular fights as various people showed their skills. The most prevalent was aura skills, which most that had skills used, and some other types of Martial arts.
On Lanre’s turn, he picked Jimoh as his opponent, which shocked everyone. They didn’t know him very well but they knew he was very strong, they hadn’t expected him to be such a moral person.
Lanre had been watching from the sides during the party and had watched the episode between Mira and Jimoh. He knew fighting at the party was a bad idea and he didn’t want Gbenga to fight with revenge clouding his judgment.
Lanre took a stance and Jimoh also did. Lanre manifested his aura which was pitch-black and Jimoh manifested a pure white aura, which shocked the representatives of the High Sanctuary and the High Nomads.
They knew white aura didn’t necessarily correlate with good intentions and black didn’t correlate with bad but white aura was usually used by people who had a lot of discipline or faith to the point of obsession.
Lanre sent a flurry of flying black slashes (Getsuga Tensho). Jimoh sent his own aura slashes to counter Lanre’s aura slashes. White aura could consume and absorb the properties of various forms of energies but aura was an exception to the rule.
Not that it mattered since Jimoh didn’t know how to activate aura. The first round of Lanre’s aura slashes hit Jimoh’s slashes and the black aura slashes went through the white ones, dispersing them on contact, and sailed toward Jimoh who immediately went on the defensive and wrapped himself in his aura.
The balance of the battle quickly changed as the difference between someone who knew how to activate aura and someone who didn’t was shown. The battle became a one sided beat down where Jimoh defended with his aura and Lanre continued to relentlessly assault him with activated aura slashes, which would disperse his defense, and with inactivated aura slashes that would hurt him.
Jimoh quickly gave up seeing no victory in sight. The fight was over and Lanre said “When you’re ready for your second beating come and disturb us again” and left the field.

The representative of the sanctuary congratulated Lanre for his display. Funmi looked at him and said “Fresh, very fresh”. It was Mira’s turn after that and she had chosen a contestant from Terrania, which surprisingly to her no one else did.
Mira went to the field and a man who was a 7 footer, huge muscles and had red tattoos all over his body was her opponent, his name was Duni. Duni was one of the Rank 6s of Terrania, he took a stance and so did Mira.
The fight was commenced and Mira activate her boots, jumped into the air and looked down. A massive part of the ground where she had just been had been gorged out; Duni had tried to punch her and missed.
Duni’s tattoos lit up and moved around his body as his moderately buff body became slimmer. Mira sent blue aura slashes at him. Before the slashes reached he had disappeared and was behind Mira.
He punched at Mira’s back but was blocked by a wall of black aura that had extended from the back of Mira’s right hand. The wall repelled him and the force of his punch and sent him flying away from Mira. Mira sent aura slashes his way and his body and tattoos swiftly morphed and the slashes hit his body and vanished without doing any damage.
The Meta Human races were a race created by the Origin Meta Human, a human or High Human can be change to a Meta Human if the Origin Meta Human changes their genes with the Mutate ability.
The abilities they got were very different from skills as they were natural body functions to the Meta Human and could not be taught to other people who didn’t have the same abilities. When Duni was made a Meta Human he was given an ability that allowed him to alter his body stats.
He could exchange strength and agility for durability and stamina and vice versa. He could suppress all his other stats and high light one stat, using the ability cost him a minimal amount of energy. He was currently unable to alter stats like energy intelligence and sense.
His ability was great as it had very tactical uses and meant he had many options and strengths and few to no weaknesses in close combat. That was until he met someone with more options than him, Mira.
Mira was on the back pedal for a good part of the battle. The only thing going for her was that she could stay in the air while Duni could only jump to hit her. Mira watched as he changed forms time and time again and executed a plan.
She gathered black aura on her hands and charged at Duni who had just landed. Duni switched to his High strength and agility form and attacked Mira as hard as he could. Mira blocked his attack with a wall of black aura; Duni didn’t have High Mind so she could read him like a book after fighting him for a while.
Duni was pushed back by the repelled force of his own attack but stood his ground. The black aura wall dispersed and he was greeted by an axe to the knee, with an aura slash flying out from it.
Duni knew he could tank no attacks in this mode and if the attack hit he would lose a leg and the fight. He switched to his High durability and stamina mode and Mira’s attack couldn’t pierce his knee; the aura slash disperse when it hit him and Havoc only create sparks when it hit him.
Mira slid the Havoc’s orange aura covered edge along his body in a long slash. Duni punched Mira but his hand slipped of her armor like it was covered in lubricant. A cycle was created where Duni tried to distance himself from Mira so that he could change forms but Mira kept hitting him at a high frequency that prevented him from dropping his durability even for a second.
Duni tried attacking, running, dodging and talking but Mira kept relentlessly hitting him with her aura covered axe and with some flying aura slashes.
The citizens of Terrania stopped equally cheering for both contestants and began cheering for Duni; they had forgotten their equality and let their partiality get the best of them as they encouraged their fellow family member. Not that anyone expected them to cheer on someone who was beating their family.
Some seconds into the battle Mira said “Brace yourself!”
With her hand that wasn’t holding anything Mira began to punch Duni. The attacks seemed very inconsequential to the fight until Duni suddenly coughed up blood. His pause allowed Mira to add even more punches throwing him into a vicious cycle.
Duni gritted his teeth and tried to pull through but the accumulated damage made him react slower which allowed Mira to add more punches which caused him even more damage as blood vessels exploded inside his body.
He had no way out of his predicament; if he switched to a less defensive state he would immediately suffer terrible injuries. After some seconds of assault he passed out.
The crowd looked at the fallen Duni and cried, many of them rained ‘boos’ at Mira and the host was unwilling to announce the results, frowning at Mira. The Rank 6s pleaded with the crowd to quiet down and after the crowd calmed down Emeka came to the podium smiled and said “Mira wins” the audience responded with silence.
Mira then understood one of the reasons why no one had chosen to fight a Meta Human; they were fighting in their home, the locals would definitely not want to see one of their own beaten.
