A flash of light swiftly sailed in an arc toward the head of the approaching wolf. The light sharpened when it got close to the wolf that was anticipating the attack. In and instant the light sword pierced through the wolf’s head, splitting it in two. It died before it realized what went on.
Daisuke stood with a sword of light in a backhand grip under the wolf; he had just used is One Sword Style: Crescent Moon. Hilda’s aloof expression turned into a glare as 12 swords of light appeared around Daisuke.
The wolf dissolved into snow and she closed her eyes, readying herself for Daisuke’s attack while channeling her Soul Glyph.
Rings of light formed around Daisuke’s joints as he entered his fastest form, Hyper light Speed mode. Daisuke used his soul ability to enhance the focus of this attack causing the swords to condense.
‘12 Sword Style: Noon’
Daisuke’s figure burst forth with light and countless points of light raced towards Hilda as Daisuke performed countless sword thrusts. With perfect timing Hilda opened her eyes and executed her counter.
‘Cryo-Knight Art: Frosty Peak’
Hundreds of millions of thrusts were directed towards Hilda but she perfectly countered the thrusts with extremely fast thrusts of her own. The tips of their blades continuously clashed perfectly together for a few seconds before Daisuke withdrew and Hilda went back to her previous pose.
Daisuke’s arms trembled due to the amount of strength Hilda put into each thrust. Daisuke thought ‘I expected her to have more strength than me but to match my speed also?!’
The wolf that had turned into snow resurrected from the snow and frost began to from around Daisuke’s limbs. Daisuke thought ‘Ah, she freaked me out, this isn’t good. I have to change the pace’.
With a swift performance of Daisuke Crescent Moon the wolf was made headless. Daisuke thought ‘It’s not impossible to match her in strength but…’ Daisuke had a measure that could nullify Hilda’s strength advantage but he would lose a lot of control if he used it. The only solution was to use his soul ability to enhance his own focus to reduce the mistakes he would make. All in all it would cost him a lot of energy and reduce the amount of time he could fight for.
Veins of golden light spread under Daisuke’s skin and his muscles bulged. Hilda had not made any move during while Daisuke thinking, she just maintained her stance waiting for Daisuke to attack again. Her aim was to exhaust him since she couldn’t hit him. Her Forms Martial Arts allowed her to move as fast as the person she was fighting but it cost a lot of stamina. Her race balanced this out by having a ton of stamina.

Two swords appeared in Daisuke’s hand and Hilda prepared her mind.
‘2 Sword Style: Laser Thrust’
‘Cryo-Knight Art: North Pole’
A golden laser beam extended from between Daisuke’s two pointed blades. Ice burst forth from Hilda’s claymore as she swung upwards, obstructing the beam of light and sending it upward.
Daisuke didn’t dedicate time to think and just performed his next move hoping to catch Hilda off-guard. Hilda didn’t try to counter she just went back to her original pose, with her ice claymore pointed toward the ground and her two hands holding the hilt, making her resemble an ice knight sculpture.
The battle went on in this stalemate for about 14 minutes. Disks, whips, flying slashes, beams and various forms of ice and light came into existence and shattered into nothingness as the fighting progressed. Hilda seemed to see into the future to know what moves Daisuke would use and perfectly counter them. This was the ability of her earring, it was prepared with Daisuke in mind.

In a luxurious room a hologram of Chao Feng and Avatari sat among a few other holograms. There were some real people like the 30 meter long blue eastern dragon that floated in the air above a chair and Satoshi, the Tengu from Japan. The figure of Jola, the previous lead or the High Sanctuary which had now become the APT, could also be seen sitting on a couch.
Hilda’s sponsor was also sitting and on one of the chairs. He was a [Rank 28 Hero: Peak Human (Nimrod)]. He wore a black jacket on a blue round neck shirt and also had a pair of black trousers on. He was a British man with blonde hair and green eyes. His demeanor gave of the air of someone who was had a lot of experience, someone who knew what he was doing. And this wasn’t for no reason.
In the center of the room, a hologram displaying Daisuke and Hilda’s battle showed on the screen. Avatari said “When I saw Daisuke’s information I didn’t think anyone would be able to handle him but I guess the world is larger than I thought”.
Chao Feng looked at Hilda’s sponsor and said “No wonder you didn’t let her spar with me. You were hiding such a gem Eugene”. Eugene smiled and said “Even with all that she can only manage to create this stalemate. Daisuke is no joke”.
The dragon in the room asked Chao Feng “Who do you think will win?” Chao Feng with a frustrated expression said “I have no idea Yu, maybe they’ll tie”.
Satoshi looked at Chao Feng with a surprised expression and said “You don’t know?” “Know what?” Chao Feng asked his ignorance evident in his expression.
Satoshi looked at Eugene, Hilda’s sponsor and said “Hilda is a good fighter no doubt but her race is too much for her at this point. From what I see she is having a hard time using the powers more creatively and naturally. Daisuke is past this point.
“In a sense Hilda has a big wall separating her from victory while Daisuke has a cloud of fog obstructing him. From what I see Daisuke is closer to victory than Hilda since his skills are about to advance. The moves he has been making have been getting more and more profound. He will soon make a breakthrough”.
Eugene’s brows furrowed as he said “I don’t really understand but Hilda hasn’t show all that she’s got you know”. Satoshi said “Then she better show it because currently she is just the perfect training partner for Daisuke. She is hurting her chances of winning without realizing it”.
Eugene’s brows rose as he said “Well that’s not good”.
