Denver was a 11 foot tall [Rank 25 Human Variant: Giant (Wind)]. He had grey hair and eyes and was armed in a suit of black armor that perpetually oozed a black mist like aura. He took a battle stance and Mira swole to her original size and used the space ring to increase her size until she was just about as big as Denver before she took a stance.
At the signal of the host, Denver vanished and appeared before Mira with his hand descending in a chop toward her shoulder.
“BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!”
The attack was blocked by a layer of black diamond that came into existence at the spot where the chop landed. The ground split for a few tens of meters behind Mira.
Denver was not slow and but his attack lacked the qualities that would make Mira actually defend. He had just attacked as fast as possible without properly charging his attack. If he had succeeded in hurting Mira, he would have gotten a big advantage and would control the pace of the fight.
Denver swiftly jumped back but he was followed by spears of diamond that didn’t give him time to execute the next part of his strategy. Denver could not hide his agitation since his first attack failed but he swiftly curbed it and assumed a stance while he floated away from the diamond spears.
He began to move his torso and arms around in slow motions as slowed his retreat. The diamonds drew near him but they couldn’t hit him; he controlled the winds to make them slide away without much resistance.
Seeing this Mira readied herself. The diamond spears went around his sides in a failed attempt to pierce him. Mira detonated them just when Denver thought he had handled them.
The explosions destabilized him for a moment causing his form to break, but a moment was all Mira needed.
“BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
With a blast of diamond, Mire took to the air. She swiftly sent a flying kick toward his stomach, sending him to the ground and cracking his breast plate. She didn’t give him a breather as she pounced on him and removed his helmet before raining punches and explosions on his face.
“BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The crowd cheered and the host said “Like an animal! Mira waited for Denver’s mistake and vindictively punished him for it. It is obvious she isn’t nervous or agitated at all!”
Denver’s hands were pinned under Mira’s kneeling legs so he could not guard his face. He could not make any forms that could give him enough power to get out of the situation. Mira’s diamond energy gradually repelled the wind energy in his energy zone that protected his head from her punches.
Denver had a sponsor and the sponsor had told him of people to be weary of, Mira was among them. She was one of the people Chao Feng taught the moment they entered the city. When he saw that she was his opponent, a part of him had already concluded that he would lose. That was why he tried surprise attacking her, hoping for a lucky break instead of trusting his skills and playing to his strengths.
On Mira’s side, she was just trying to hide as much of her abilities from her future opponents as best as she could. That was why she took a passive role in the beginning of the battle. Heck, she would have even fought Denver without using her diamond if she could beat him without it.

Denver started grunting in pain as Mira’s diamond got past his energy and started wounding him. She wanted to put her diamond inside his body and end the fight but the resistance his energy put up when she tried to get in inside his body was phenomenal. She would have to put more effort to do that but she was fine with the current situation.
Denver kicked his legs around as the pain of the assault began to hurt. He tried to forcefully sit up but she pushed his head down with one hand and punched him with the other to keep him down. Her strength was nothing to joke about, it was higher that his own and she was in an advantageous position.
He wanted to use his biomass to regenerate but buying the kind of food that could fill the stat would be a waste since he would lose anyway. He sent a wide spread psychic message indicating his surrender.
Mira stopped punching him and got off his body. The host announced “Without any chance to speculate, without any chance to doubt, we have our winner Mira!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The crowd cheered loudly and Mira raise her hands up and waved toward the crowd as she shrunk back to human size. After that, she descended down that hole that opened up beside her. She thought ‘That was easy. He didn’t even use any tricky reality, space or time manipulation. I guess everyone is not as complex to fight as the people I spar with regularly’.
The person that escorted her told her she could leave the waiting room and come back when her fight was about to start. Mira went toward to the stands and sat in one of the human sized seats to watch the next fight.
The next fight was between a male Human Elementalist and a male Water Elf. The Elementalist looked European and the Water Elf didn’t bear any human racial resemblance with his blue skin. The whites of his eyes were black and his eyeballs were blue. His hair was black and it reached his shoulders and also partially covered his pointed ears.
The winner of this fight would be Mira’s next opponent. After the introductions the host started the fight and the Water Elf created a sword of water and swung it toward the Elementalist. The water in the sword was condensed with a lot of pressure and that pressure was released in a thin strip of water from the edge of the sword resulting in a flying water slash.
The Elementalist flicked his finger and the trajectory of the water slash changed. It flew upward and curved back and downward until it was going back to the Elf. The Elf dodged the slash and thrust the water sword toward the Elementalist.
A thin beam of water shot from the tip of the sword toward the Elementalist. It was clear that the Elf would prefer a close range battle but he chose to test his opponent’s ability with long range attacks before committing into a close range battle.
The beam of water had more power and was connected to the Elf so it wasn’t easy to control… or so the Elf thought. The Elementalist was a Hydrogen Elementalist so controlling water was one of his capabilities but his connection to the element was way stronger than the Elf’s connection to his water energy form.
The beam of water turned to a beam of fire as the Elementalist expanded his energy zone, covering the Elf’s energy zone that outlined his body. He separated the hydrogen from the oxygen molecules in the water, the reaction released heat that combusted the oxygen molecules. The Elementalist said “I’m a bad match up for you”. The beam of water wasn’t the only thing that turned to fire, the water sword changed too.
The Elf stared at the phenomenon in disbelief. The water wasn’t just water, it was his energy. In essence, his own energy had turned into something completely different and he could do nothing about it.
The Elementalist pointed his finger toward the Elf and said “Give up”. If the Elementalist made fire the Elf would need to block it with water which would turn to fire soon after. The Elf’s lacking connection to his energy would not have been a problem when facing other opponents but against this Elementalist it was his down fall.
The Elf sent a wide spread psychic message indicating his surrender and floated down the hole that appeared afterward while the host praised the Elementalist. Mira noted his name, Demetri. She thought ‘Would a Carbon Elementalist be able to control my diamonds?... I doubt that, they have parts of my soul in them. But it would be quite chilling if my own energy was to work against me… nasty’.
