Mira saw them coming and had her axe ready but didn’t know that their purpose was to die. The only other ability the Endpoints had was that they could shrink their energy zone, which was quite large and noticeable, to make them inconspicuous.
The Endpoints were about to detonate, Mira’s axe was about to cut one of their heads, when the Endpoints died. They were shot in the head by the ranger of Legion, a Superior High Human, who had seen the high amount of condensed energy in their shrunken energy zones, due to her superior sense stat she could see energy that people could only sense. To her the Endpoints were like bright beacons of light.
3 bolts from her automatic crossbow, which was very similar to Deji’s own, had hit the Endpoints in their heads before they could explode. They died unable to fulfill their life’s mission. Mira’s axe cut through the closest one but she didn’t bother with the rest since she saw them being shot, why? She didn’t know.
The member of Legion that shot the Endpoints looked around for more of them and shot the remaining 4, she wasn’t going to wait to see what they could do. Her eyes widened when she shot the last one and she paused for a moment and then continued fighting.

Jola was enjoying the fight with the Paragons; Flash Thunder was proving to be something else.
After his Lightening iai attack the Paragons had focused their attention on him, Kore defended him from the attacks while he charged Flash thunder. Mistura’s successful attack had helped greatly as the Paragons who could fight properly were now 6.
The Paragons, with the red parts of their body shining, displayed amazing strength, coordination and skill unlike any other undead or monster, without a mind controlling them.
They didn’t mindlessly attack, they had a formation; the lance wielders were in front, they had their lances widened at the base with the tip pointed forward and used it as a shield that resembled an open umbrella. A great sword wielder acted as an additional defender, widening its sword and using it as a shield, due to the dead lance wielder missing from their initial defense formation, while the other great sword wielder would regularly extend its sword like the glaive wielders did their glaives and attack their enemies from behind the defensive line.
Majority of the attacks were focused on Jola who was being protected by Kore. The injured great sword wielder was at the back of the formation acting as an attacker occasionally by extending its sword but its attacks were weak as it could barely stand with its injury.
The Paragon’s focus on Jola gave the other Rank 5 a lot of room to move. The Paragon defenders were having a terrible day. Anita’s glaive was always entering the holes in their shield formation, aiming for the attackers behind. The lancers had to monitor her as well as Teni whose sword strikes shook their grip and Mistura who just held a javelin up waiting for her next target.
The battle was in a stalemate until Jola was ready to strike again and signaled Kore. The Paragons, seeing the change in battle rhythm all went on the defensive; they widened their weapons and positioned themselves behind them. Jola took his stance, tightened his grip on the katana and shouted “SIKE!!” and the High Humans went on the offensive.

Teni jumped over a widened lance and sent a stab toward the head of the lancer. The lancer quickly raised his lance to block the stab but its neck was impaled by the sword of Demola who had been in front of the lancer, his hand under the lancer’s shield.
At the same time Anita had gone behind the lancer in front of her and attacked its ankles. The lancer stumbled forward, it had reacted well, turning when Anita went to its back but the attack had happened very fast as Anita didn’t need to gather momentum to hurt such a weak spot and it wasn’t expecting it. Before the lancer could regain its stability, a javelin had sunk through the top of its head and went down its neck into its torso, it was dead.
The moment Samad heard Jola say ‘sike’ he tossed the short sword he was holding up into the air above the Paragon holding a great sword in front of him. He unsheathed his second short sword, abandoned his shield and lounged to the Paragons side and sent a stab toward it.
The Paragon, turned to the side, stepped back and blocked with its widened sword. Samad activated the aura blade skill and the sword cracked causing the Paragon to step back before the blade fully formed.
At this time the lancers were dead and the other Paragons had noticed the trick. The Paragon that was facing Samad reduced the width of his sword and returned it to a normal size in preparation for an attack.
The attacking Paragons had reduced their weapon’s width, preparing to attack the High Humans that had attacked the defenders and were now open. At that moment Jola unsheathed his sword, disappeared and reappeared behind and in between two of the attacking Paragons. The two glaive wielders lit up with electricity, in front of the injured lancer.
Flash Thunder was held, pointing to his side. He had performed a 180 degree slash and just as the lancer was about to attack Jola, a javelin went through its head. The top halves of the two Paragons, Jola was in between, fell to the floor charred.
The sword that Samad threw came down, spinning in the air, and just as it was about to hit the head of the Paragon, it jumped back, creating some distance between it and Samad. Samad kicked the hilt of the spinning sword and sent it dashing into the left side of the abdomen of the Paragon while he simultaneously performed a flying aura slash at its face.
The sword went into the Paragons side while it blocked the aura slash. When lowered its sword away from its face, Samad was in front of it. He sent a stab toward the Paragon’s face and it blocked, which gave Samad time to hold the other sword with his free hand, activate the aura blade skill, fully impaling the Paragon with the longer blade, and slashing with the sword that was already in the Paragon’s belly, cutting it into 2.
There was only one Paragon left, the moment it saw the lightening shocking two of the Paragon’s body the Paragon ran away. As it ran Jola performed a flying aura slash with Flash Thunder, the Paragon turned and blocked a part of the slash but more slashes from the other Rank 5s hit it, severely wounding it and slowing it down, and finally a javelin went through its head and it fell, lifeless.
The Magicians and the Endpoints were dead by the end of the Rank 5 battle. The Rank 4s joined in slaughtering the centaurs, while the Rank 5s headed toward the Nemesis Prodigy Maker.
The Prodigy Maker was weakly running away. The Rank 5s quickly caught up with it, jumping over the Centaurs that tried to obstruct their path, and began to slaughter it. The Prodigy Maker felt extreme despair and wrath, it wanted to do something but it was helpless. It died a sad death, unable to stop the parasites that had been harassing it. When the Prodigy Maker died, the IP of the Rank 5s said ‘Congratulations on killing a True Nemesis, as a reward you’ve been given the Overcomer title…’
