Of course one of the things Mira attacked was Jade’s body but he didn’t care much since he could just reconstruct it if she broke it. He watched her reaction fervently as well as the reaction of her diamond which was cracking and repairing itself, unnoticed by the insane Mira.
Jade thought ‘Her reaction is so much more violent than mine. I feel like a wuss now, but come on. I faced a Rank 28 when I was just a Rank 7 or so, it makes sense that I would shit my pants. And besides the monster wasn’t trying to train me”
In the Astral Plane, Mira’s gaseous soul was churning chaotically. It was like the simple push had shaken it so much it didn’t know how to rearrange itself properly again. The soul churned madly for 3 minutes before it slowed down and became unmoving and even denser than before.
At this point Mira regained her sense of self fully and again now felt like a person. She looked at Jade with a pleading expression, she was about to beg for him to stop the training but he tapped her soul again before she could begin. Jade wanted her soul to have a sandy texture since he felt it was at this point a soul became stable but he still entered her soul to check first and found it to be chaotic, only less than before. So he tapped again hoping for success on this try.
“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Mira screamed madly again and but this time she didn’t attack everything in sight. She went for Jade’s body and with the look in her eyes Jade knew he was her sole target. He wouldn’t care much for physical damage but the small Personas in her diamond were moving wildly and this was what was causing the diamond to crack and repair. Jade’s Vanir instinct saw through time and told him that she would perform an attack on his soul with the Personas so he partially entered his body and controlled the space around her, keeping her in place.
Mira wildly dashed toward Jade but all her efforts were fruitless as distance didn’t seem to agree with the fact that she was flying toward Jade. She stayed in one place no matter how much she dashed toward Jade and in her insanity as she searched her soul for a way to break out of his prison… she found one. She relived the memory of compressing space thousands of times until she was a master at it.
She spread out her energy just as Jade had taught her and compressed it along with the space it occupied. Except this time she didn’t take 30 minutes to do it as she did it a moment later but a change happened and her diamond changing color rapidly.
Jade immediately went to the Astral Plane and observed how the Personas and her Soul kept mixing with each other in a chaotic fashion. It was something they didn’t do before. The gas hardened and formed grey grains that Jade recognized. Jade entered her soul and saw that a bright star was shining down on a metal landscape with trees and small plants breaking out of parts of the ground in her soul; her soul had stabilized.
Jade saw Mira’s eyes focus on him with madness and he realized that the sand particles in her grey soul were still swirling around chaotically indicating that she was still crazy. He went back into his body and activated his Space Soul Glyph. Mira was about to attack, and he wasn’t going to get away with just a flesh wound.

Mira’s diamond was shining with a very bright white light that made her look like the sun. The radiance and heat coming off of it was so much it would have melted actual diamonds. The light separated into different rainbow colors the further away it got from the source. She dashed at Jade with a Shooting Star blast that ripped space apart behind her, but she didn’t teleport because of her space compressed energy domain.
Wickedly sharp claws of diamond protruded from her fingers as she travelled and she lifted one of her arms up to begin to slash Jade into pieces. Jade’s eyes opened and the stars that shined in them were no more, leaving only a colorless haze, without light or darkness just like the void. At that moment Jade was space.
Mira found herself back where she started and she tried to move out again but the space in her body and the one around her kept bringing her back to the same spot. Cracks filled space as her light shined brighter as she gave more of her energy to the soul ability but it had nothing on a Soul Glyph that was the matured form of the soul ability. Space repaired back and she remained in her position as Jade deactivated the Space Soul Glyph.
Her madness continued for a while before she regained her sanity and something more. She felt real, more real than she ever felt before, she felt like her whole life was an illusion and only now was she a real person. Jade said “Congrats! Your soul has stabilized. How do you feel?”
Mira said “I feel… real”. “I didn’t feel like that at all. Maybe because my experience was different, it was more fear than rage for me” Jade mumbled. Mira tried to float toward Jade but she kept staying in the same spot. She asked “Umm can you stop holding me down now?”
Jade showed slight shock, he was lost in his own thoughts that he forgot that the Space glyph permanently changed the quality of a space when he used it. Mira said before he could undo the changes “I’ll break out on my own”.
She expanded her energy zone and tried to move in it but alas she still remained fixed to that spot. A great amount of confusion filled her expression as she compressed the energy zone on her body but still had no success. She said “Jade, what are you doing?”
Jade said “Relax, I’ll undo it” as he activated the Space glyph and reversed the changes he had made to space. Mira had unfortunately looked at his eyes which were reflecting Void during the process, she passed out from the experience as her mind refused to accept the reality of what she saw.
Jade sighed when he saw this and opened a portal to his lab and carried her through it. He laid her on the floor and a psychic message came for him. It said ‘Hello Jade, it’s been a while. I went to China to understand what happened with Gog. The run down is quite simple. There are two Rank 29 monsters in the country, the Heavenly Dragon and the Celestial Phoenix. They protect the people and monsters and have formed a sort of government.
Honestly, I expected less from monsters but they are pretty ok, their rules are not to constrictive, on the contrary they give too much freedom. Gog was a high Rank spawn of the Heavenly Dragon and he left if at the beginning of WW3.He went to the UK and came back stronger to defeat the Taotie.
Gog asked the Heavenly Dragon for assistance but the Dragon refused to help it fight the Taotie. I haven’t found out why it didn’t ask the Phoenix yet but the thing that made me wonder was why the Heavenly Dragon refused Gog. A month and a half after the start of my search and the end of WW3, the reason for the Heavenly Dragon’s decision made itself known, to be more precise, himself…’
