94] - [Tedious Search]

Smiling from ear to ear, Lei Diesto had no reason to refuse.

"Sure! Here you go!" Taking out a quite rough yet elegant poleaxe from his space ring, he threw it just like the sword.

Catching it, Alexander almost had his arm dislocate from the weight. Only after using the Origin power could he lift it with some ease.

"Heavy huh? Don't use it yet, it's clearly not meant for people at our level. Only masters at the Half-Universe Realm should be able to use them properly."

Nodding in agreement, Alexander made his oath with some resolution.

"I, Alexander, swear to the Heavens that I hold no malicious intentions towards Lei Diesto, and will never betray him or even lie, be it in the past, present or future! If I break this oath, may the Heavenly Way punish me accordingly!"

After he finished his oath, he simply exited the dungeon.

His trip to the secret dungeon had ended with some ups and downs. Because of the oaths, chances were that he may be unable to deal with Lei Diesto in the future. Unless of course he was strong or lucky enough to get out of this entanglement.

'He said that each continent had one key each. So let's start with this one. Once I'm done, I'll first go to the Southern Demonic Continent.'

Taking out the piece of rainbow crystal shaped in a brick, Alexander waited for it to do something.

Seeing it shine brightly, he sighed in relief. Teleporting some hundreds of meters in all cardinal directions, he studied its fluctuating glow.

'So it's basically the hot and cold thingy game.' Exhaling loudly from his nostrils, Alexander flew some distance from the ground before flying to his left while moving erratically everywhere.

At some point, a few hundreds of meters away, he dug straight down.

And barely a minute later, found a piece of sky-blue crystal. Its shape was symmetrical but overall messy. It had a sort of diamond shape.

Storing it in his internal world, Alexander saw the crystal in his hand stop glowing.

"Oh no... please don't..." Waving it around, the slab of multicolored crystal still showed no movement.

"I swear that if I spend more than a million years searching for those keys, I will make sure to give the master of this Multiverse a little surprise!"

Angrily flying towards the Southern Demonic Continent at maximum speed, Alexander hoped to quickly finish this task.

Arriving months later, Alexander breathed a sigh of relief. The crystal immediately showed changes when he entered the continent's territory.

Therefore, he only needed a few weeks to find a purple diamond shaped crystal deep in the Demonic Land Region's depths.

However, instead of flying to the next continent, Alexander was curious.

'Would it be slightly faster? Since I'm already here, might as well try it!' Shooting for the Tuzim Region, Alexander landed a few weeks later to its edge. In front of him, the ground seemed to simply collapse. There was a sort of air barrier envelopping the world that he could clearly see.

Clouds were still visible into the far distance along a sky, but Alexander knew them to be mere illusions. Creating a clone, Alexander sent it toward it with some barebone instructions, removing some of its sentience. In case something tried to corrupt his clone, it would still be possible for its robot-like programming to come back.

Watching the clone hit the air barrier, he saw it disappear with some spatial fluctuations before coming back mere moments later, unscathed.

Assimilating its memories, Alexander nodded with a smile.

'The rumors, or more so legends, were true after all!' Leisurely walking into it, Alexander felt the world spin before landing on a piece of white snow.

Taking out the multicolored tracker, he saw it shine a bright blue light.

'Well... back to it!'

Even without much knowledge about the Northern Iceland Continent, Alexander took the same amount of time to find an ice-like crystal.

With only two more to go, Alexander headed for the Western Desert Continent first, already planning on using the same trick twice and instantly get to the Eastern Giant Forest Continent for the last one.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

Everything when smoothly, the harsh deserts and canyons not able to stop his peerless cultivation base in any way.

Stopping mid-air above a gigantic hole down below, he started to slowly fall down.

It was the Western Desert Continent's center-most region, the Chaotic Core Region. Its strength was actually weaker than the Demonic Land Region by a noticeable margin. It only had silver and gold sects, while the Demonic Land Region contained Earth Sects on top.

The crystal in his hand shining a bright amber glow, Alexander dug a bit in the hole's center before finding an familiarly shaped amber crystal.

He only had one more key to go!

And of course, he proceeded to head west for the Western Desert Continent's edge, the Rahsval Region!

Similar to the Southern Demonic Continent's happenings, Alexander arrived to the Poison Forest Region, east-most part of the Eastern Giant Forest Continent.

Not bothering himself with exploring, a clear goal in mind, Alexander flew straight ahead, shooting for Lartus' Mountain Range, the centermost region of this continent.

Standing above grey mountains slicing apart a lush forest all around, Alexander immediately noticed a peak Greater Existence Realm monster looking at him. He could not miss this giant, many times his own size seated on a mountain as if a throne ready-made for him.

Looking at it, the giant had a yellowish complexion and a barbaric attire.

"You're Lartus?"

"Yes, it is I! What is a little Human doing here?! Get down here and I might let you go! Else, I will just-"

Scoffing, Alexander interrupted his monologue of death seeking with a giant, orange palm print.

However, to all beings under the Instinct Liberating Realm, it was completely invisible. They could not even feel its presence.

The outcome was obvious, Lartus' giant body was turned into meat paste, his Life Root, not even condensed into a Divine Root and Instinct Core were miserably crushed to dust alongside.

Able to manipulate this power, Alexander realized it to be filled with possibilities. It could go through matter but also affect it if needed.

Waving his hand, Alexander was not in the mood to dig and search for the key, immediately turning the world upside-down.

Amidst the falling mountains and dirt storms, Alexander found a shining piece of green crystal.

Snatching it away, he flew straight ahead for the secret dungeon.

While travelling, Alexander suddenly decided to check on his keys, soon frowning. One had disappeared from its place!

There was only one explanation. A being from his internal world had stolen his key! And judging from the remaining ones' colors, he missed the Western Desert Continent's amber one.

'So annoying...'

Using his own being and connection with the world, he immediately located the thief.

His soul avatar spawning high above into the sky, he extended his arm, as if trying to grasp the earth.

Right after, a man's scream rang out as a piece of amber crystal still held by a young man showed up.

About to kill the man, Alexander stopped.

'He is my creation, let's not kill wantonly in my own world...'

"I'll spare you, but the next time won't be as easy to escape!" Teleporting the key back to its original place, Alexander's soul avatar dissipated.

Left behind was a young man filled with terror, soon falling thousands of meters before crashing into the sea. If not for his powerful cultivation at the Earth Realm, he would have died.

By the time a month passed by, Alexander was now standing face to face with Lei Diesto, back inside the dungeon. He had to kill his way through again, and even saw a few corpses near Lei Diesto himself. Clearly some fools had rushed inside the new passageway and got themselves killed on the spot. Lei Diesto was still an absolute being in this world after all. How could a few trashes below the Life Refining Realm even block his unrestrained blinks?

"I got the keys, let's go." Seeing the confirming nod, along Lei Diesto patting himself while standing up, Alexander vigilantly passed through the light screen unimpeded.

Lei Diesto lead the way a mind numbing three meters above him, pointing at six holes in the wall.

"Put them in the right order." First placing the sky-blue crystal in the middle slot, Alexander then placed the icy one above, the amber one left, green one right and purple one down. After which he saw a different, rectangular hole below all of them, in which he placed the multicolored tracker.

The moment he finished, the entire wall along the crystals shone a multicolored light, blinding the both of them for a while. Relived to see one party not backstabbing the other, they saw the wall crumble to dust. One had to remember that even the external walls of this dungeon would not even lose a particle from Alexander's or Lei Diesto's full power.

"Here we are!!" His face distorted from incredible happiness, Lei Diesto rushed inside without a care in the world, as if he had forgotten his previous plight at the dungeon's hands.

Behind another corridor was a familiar hall. Its size however was utterly gigantic, even when compared to the previous ones. It was thousands of kilometers tall, and pillars of the same height were erected. On both right and left, five pyramids of sorts were erected from the ground. On top of them were flat platforms and a cushion. Leading to the top were engraved stairs.

Before any of them could figure out what happened, they heard the neither young yet deep voice of a man.

"Welcome! I see that both of you are here for the exit. My name is Valtos, and I am the master of this Multiverse!"

"Before you is your last effort! Cultivate using the resources available and exit my internal world! Once both of you are at the Half-Step Universe Stage of the Half-Universe Realm, I will get you out!"

As the voice finished, dozens of light beams shot out for their heads, and as they did, information kept pouring inside their minds. This feeling was both blissful and utterly terrifying. The owner could influence their minds to such a frightening degree without them being able to do anything.

Luckily, the owner had plans for them, so both Alexander and Lei Diesto ended up profiting greatly.

They not only received information about the next major realm, but also the ones after! Let alone that, they even learned about many other things. They now knew that outside of the Multiverse was Limbo, where countless powers existed. They learned about the powers there and Limbo's structure. They clearly received top-tier information. Some even mentioned forces and people to never offend.

'So after the Half-Universe Realm is obviously the Universe Realm, then the Origin Realm or also called Multiverse Realm, Earth Transcending Realm, Nihility Realm, Chaos Archetype Realm and half a dozen more. But unfortunately, we only got precise information until the early Earth Transcending Realm...'

'Except for the Half-Universe Realm, Universe Realm and Origin Realm, all of the ones we have some information about show no more and no less than three stages each.'

Looking over at the center of the hall, on a table, Alexander saw countless resources prepared for them to use.

'This ascension won't be so simple it seems...'
