Celestial Journey
61] - [Golden Castle]

61] - [Golden Castle]

A young man with long silver hair walking up some giant stairs, he soon found his way to their summit.

His head held high, he stared with contemplation at two gigantic golden doors, some patterns engraved on their surface.

The doorframe made from uneven rocks, it gave it a certain charm, as if the doors had fused with a mountain.

Stepping on the flat tiling up front, Alexander took large strides, his ten million kilometers tall body dwarfed considerably, an ant compared to the doors alone.

As if sensing someone approaching, the two golden doors rumbled before slowly opening wide. The weight along the size of the doors gave their subtle movement immense power, gusts of wind crashing on Alexander, his Blooming Lotus Realm cultivation base easily negating the howling waves.

'!!' Aware of something, Alexander did not hesitate to strike ten times forward, sending five [Celestial Palms] both right and left, soon crashing on ten statues which did not even have enough time to emerge from the ground yet.

Ten explosions of stone reverberating, the statues crumbled immediately.

'Just at the entrance there are ten Cloud Immortal Realm puppets! This place might have some wealth after all!' Newfound determination arising, Alexander hurried his steps, his long hair floating from the powerful wind blowing on his face like a hurricane.

However, even with his hastened pace, it still took him over ten minutes to reach the end and enter through the doorway.

Now inside, he was not surprised as the doors smashed behind him, closing themselves shut instantly.

Not even bothering to turn around, he could not pick up on anything using his Divine Sense.

A powerful cultivator with countless worldly experiences to his belt, Alexander would never assume such an obvious place to be devoid of any malicious happenings, be it traps, puppets, trials, arrays or even soul remnants among a myriad others.

His arrogance overcoming, he ran forward, within the humongous hall around, its dome ceiling reaching a mind blowing altitude. The hall so tall, it caused Alexander's body to appear insignificant, as if a man lone on an entire world. Coupled with its golden touch and dim lighting, it gave way to a dreamy place.

Walking leisurely for hours, his speed still considered extreme, Alexander finally reached the end, passing under a doorway so high he wondered how long it took to create such a place without a proper cultivation base.

Now completely exiting the hall for the new room, he frowned. As this time the giant doorway also closed itself, but since it had no doors of any kind, it used a light-blue screen of mist to do so.

Taking a better look in front, Alexander was suspicious of the smaller room. The floor utter perfection of smoothness and taste, its shining surface a dark gold color, complementing the, once again, dim lighting with care.

Just a few dozen meters in front, a small set of stairs, less than five steps, was rooted around an oval shaped first part giving way to a rectangular shape just after.

His eyes drilling holes into the horizon, Alexander could not see where the platform below the stairs led to, but he did not need to know, as the darkness covering his means were parted by a tall being.

'A peak Cloud Immortal Realm puppet?' Watching as the puppet in spiky armor approached, its height clearly above Alexander's, his hopes lit up even more.

'A puppet this strong this soon... Marrahva Crystals, here I come!' Kicking the ground, forming cracks on the former pristine golden floor, Alexander's body was sent flying at the puppet, its one-handed axe not enough to block his unexpected blow, sending the puppet into limbo.

Crashing into the darkness, its body petrified from death, the puppet had been neutralized in mere moments.

The trial completed with ease, Alexander walked past the darkness, entering another place. This time no trials of any kind were present, two flight of stairs going either right or left.

'Probably just for symmetry.' Taking the left one randomly, Alexander headed up, soon finding his guess confirmed, the end of some stairs next to his own.

Now a floor higher, he was somewhat curious, some white blueish light illuminating the arched doorway in front. Realizing the floor and walls to be somewhat blue, Alexander resumed his stroll.

Passing under the doorway, he was not surprised this time as a blueish mist blocked the path behind.

Scrutinizing the new room, its height much greater than the room just above the stairs, was giving him high expectations.

High above, gifting the place its light source, a dazzling ball of white light shadowing all lights gave new meaning to the word 'illumination', leaving the sun itself in shame.

Squinting his eyes ever so slightly, he looked down again, this time focusing on the flat room he was in, its tiling similar to the puppet's room, but instead of shaded gold, it was clearly a light blue, its smoothness and shine nothing to scoff at, barely some dust covered spots impairing it.

However, Alexander did not pay much attention to the details, some surprising enemies far ahead.

'Blooming Lotus Realm? While it is still the first stage... Seems like I have made a mistake, but a welcomed one!' As if oblivious to the potential dangers lurking beyond, Alexander felt excited, greed of wealth and battle blinding his rationality, or so it appeared.

Levitating higher and higher, Alexander's insignificant size gave the puppets instinctive fear and reverence.

'[Heaven's Fall]!' No clouds to use, Alexander did not bother, sending a newly formed palm print of pure Celestial Qi crashing down like a meteor on the dozen puppets below.

Cranking from age, the puppet's limbs made uncanny noises, soon trying their best to disperse, intending on using formations to deal with Alexander.

'?!' As fast as they were however, they could not defeat Alexander's [Qi Pressure], slowing their movements considerably, a giant palm print trillions of kilometers wide approaching too quickly to be avoided.

While Alexander's technique was not strong back then, using pure Celestial Qi along his powerful Lotus Core's efficiency feeding the palm print an enormous amount of Celestial Qi in mere seconds, his martial art had the opportunity to turn a new leaf.

Staring below as the dust from the floor took a cloud-like form, he waved his hand, clearing it on the spot.

'Surprisingly, they were defeated with just that. What a waste of entertainment!' Scoffing as his illuminated body under the blinding orb of light was dimmed, his eyes turned cold in disappointment, a palm print trillions of kilometers wide a clear depression on the former tiling.

Floating back down, he collected the puppet's bodies, their use later on unknown.

Going up another flight of stairs, Alexander had now reached the final room. Or so he thought, as the dizzying height of the new room he was in, its vaulted ceiling of charisma shielded the giant golden throne below it, up two consecutive flights of golden, smooth stairs, a great pair with the rest of the floor below, also golden and smooth, reflecting the light coming off the many giant windows left and right.

Atop the stairs, sitting on the throne, a giant man much taller than Alexander, as if a titan, opened his eyes.

Staring at Alexander while releasing his aura, sent to oppress him, the being stood up.

'Second stage Blooming Lotus Realm! But not only that... it's also a jiangshi!' Glaring at the pale titan, Alexander corrected himself mere moments later.

'Never mind, it's a zombie, it doesn't have any talisman on it. But even so, a zombie at the same cultivation stage can be either a breeze to crush or the complete opposite!' Careful, he still felt confident, his cultivation base not an accurate testimony to his full battle prowess.

"..."

'?!!' Crossing his arms in front, Alexander felt his forearms crack as the zombie titan suddenly vanished from its original place, its giant fist colliding with Alexander's scrap of a defense out of nowhere.

Beads of sweat rolling down his forehead, Alexander could not contain his smile.

"Don't think you can beat me even with this! My battle prowess is not something a mere zombie can compare to!" Roaring, Alexander's Lotus Core spun with madness, its red shade tainting his Celestial Qi a pale red.

His eyes glowing a fiery red, Alexander's body blurred, soon reappearing to the titan's left, his left fist striking the zombie on its side, sending its gigantic body flying, as if lighter than a feather.

The zombie not impressed, its body vanished once again.

'??!!'

Its eyes wide open, as if unable to process the outcome, the titan, reappearing behind Alexander had its chin obliterated from below, Alexander's flying uppercut inevitable.

"Moron! That's why zombies are so easy to deal with, do you think using the same martial art twice would work? Let alone someone else, doing that on me?! Foolish!" Spinning mid-air, Alexander struck the titan with his left leg, forming a hole inside its resilient body.

Kneeling from the damage, the zombie had no time to dodge, Alexander's [Great Yin And Yang Palm] already too close for comfort.

Alexander's left hand burning as his comprehension of the Yang Dao took physical form, it was suddenly complemented with his Dao of Yin, its freezing properties spinning alongside the Yang.

Feeling the power of light, fire, ice, death and much more, all contained within a single palm, caused the titan to shiver, its death not enough of an immunity to such a terror.

Hit right in the sternum, the giant zombie was both melted and frozen as the two united powers escaping Alexander's control began to bite one another, chaos now inescapable.

*Roar!*

Trying its best to remove Alexander's Daos, the titan ended up collapsing in a kneeling position after only one hour, its body already starting to dissipate under the chaotic force within.

"Hmph! A mere zombie thinks he can remove my Dao of Yin and Yang? How could it be so easy? My comprehension has already long surpassed the Celestial Realm's standards! These morons don't even ever form a Dao Heart! Even if they can make a World Core, it will be subpar at best, a mere replica!"

Snorting, Alexander retrieved the titan's body inside his internal world before heading for the throne, ready to loot the place until nothing was left.
