Suddenly called by a shadowy voice, Alexander regained some lucidity.
After understanding what was going on, he slashed the void apart, tearing reality and opening a gate to a new world.
But this time, the tear did not shine a blinding white light, but a dark one.
Plunging inside, Alexander already knew what was happening.
After so long his sense of time shattered, his cultivation soared as nothing could shake his deepest drive.
Resources are useless. Alexander often reminded not only people, but also himself of this truth. The cultivation world did not revolve around cultivation resources such as pills and crystals. So what if others cultivated faster? So what if they were the chosen ones?
In the end, might made right. And if nobody ever confronted him, his might would always be the highest. As for when one without resources would leave? When they saw fit.
Or when they were left with no other choice.
"Hmmm..." Caressing his chin, a tall man in black robes curiously stared into a black, shiny wall with entertainment.
"So fast..? How great. The Dark Wall needed some help, so might as well." Smiling ever so slightly, Valtos felt his own body resonate with a distant location.
"This man... Alexander? Breaking through to the Nihility Realm so fast... Not even hesitating when returning to the void... shall I reap the beautiful fruits of my sowing? Our Ninth Martial Dynasty is in need of great champions in this war... Shall I show this idiotic and blind Frozen Dream Sect why our dynasty lasted for so many eons?"
"Even if I must wait for billions of years, I will not let you run this time!"
Vanishing, Valtos rushed toward Alexander's location, ready to harvest his handmade soldier.
'...' Alexander had realized by then that Limbo's true space was much harder to breach compared to Valtos' true space. In this sense, Valtos' internal world's true space was Limbo's false space. But even so, Alexander did not encounter any real issues. He did feel his body greatly suffer from teleporting around and such. But even so, with enough recuperation in between each set of spatial manipulation, his body would recover fully.
Though it showed him why Valtos never bothered teleporting both him and Lei Diesto back then. Valtos must have known of the potential risks involved.
As for where Alexander currently was. He himself was not sure. Everything was dark, as if deep space without much of a light source. It was not pitch black, as if a layer of dark blue mist slightly glowed the world, but even then...
'...'
Without much to say anymore, Alexander let his body be slowly tempered inside this harsh space. It seemed devoid of dangers, except for the laws themselves, trying to shred his body to pieces bit by bit continuously.
His skin was scratched until muscles showed, and then these muscles were torn apart by an invisible force. After that, the rest of his body underwent such a treatment.
'...reminds me of classic, good old body tempering...' A passing thought surging with nostalgia, Alexander let his body relax as he ignored the pain.
Even when he felt his eyes cry in both tears and blood, he did not react. To him, pain was already a distant puzzle, scrambled in every directions far away into the horizon.
Pain was only a set of information he did not currently need. So, he chucked this information away without second thoughts. Only when his body and his own instincts would beg for relief would he pay more attention.
If there was a moment where instincts came as mind relief, it would be one like this. Where pain and suffering erupted forever, ending up as useless torture for eons to go.
'Should I sleep..? It would be a bad idea, but...' After assimilating more information from his berserk, possessed clone, Alexander understood better his former change in attitude.
He understood what happened and why the Greater Primordial Deity was so respected.
After his implosion, the Greater Primordial Deity both perished and survived. His flesh was both gone and present.
The red mist was his mind, his chaotic consciousness. It spread across the crumbling Realms and ended up in Limbo. It also was the reason why some cultivation realms had the word 'Primordial' inside of them. This consciousness confused the Heavens, altered reality and infected the Martial Dao.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Alexander did not know how cultivation was altered by these changes, but they certainly came as unexpected.
The red color often appearing in most of these realms was now self-explanatory. The influence they had however, was much more intricate.
The mist spreading caused it to fade away over time. Minuscule red particles, invisible to most, filled the Realms. Each of them holding the Greater Primordial Deity's traits and ambitions. His blasphemous goals and crazed temperament. The goal, Alexander could not fully know. But in theory, these particles would form seals or restrictions, capable of taking over cultivators and even the Heavens.
Their goal should be to revive the Greater Primordial Deity one day, and let him roam the Realms once more.
'...well... can these particles influence even here? Maybe... how troublesome...'
'And here I thought... that I would be able to sleep my sorrows away...'
'Too bad.'
Chuckling, the drifting Alexander decided to inspect his internal world in the meantime. There was nothing else to really do otherwise.
'Let's see how it's going.'
Alexander's avatar inspecting the Multiverse, he saw life prosper everywhere, be it in the Universes or in the Celestial Realm. As for cultivation... he was quite shocked.
'Already some people on the verge of ascension... As for the Celestial Realm, I already spotted a few at the Life Refining Realm...'
Alexander was still unaware of how fast his internal world was going. He was only sure that its flow of time far exceeded a quadrillion times the one outside.
'Now that I think about it... how old is Valtos compared to his supposed age? Is he really that old, or not so much? I'll have to ask him when I have the opportunity, he must know more than I do.'
'But still...'
Watching and recognizing the cultivation system, Alexander pursed his lips.
'The Heavens are very good at this... Everyone is already cultivating according to the known cultivation system, no need to tweak anything. But I wonder...'
Slowly hushing a few words, Alexander wanted to verify if his own internal world was free of the higher Heavens by saying the taboo word.
His figure calmly floating above a random Tier-5 World, Alexander opened his eyes wide, turning around in a mere instant.
Looking down on him, in the middle of the void, a giant eyeball. The eye was white with a familiar blue iris. Its pupil was white, crackling with a blue hue of lightning.
Sweating profusely if the avatar could, Alexander remained motionless, afraid to even make a single wrong move.
Seeing his reaction, the eye remained indifferent, carefully inspecting Alexander's reasoning. After a while, it disappeared out of nowhere without a trace.
'...' Pursing his lips even more than usual, Alexander had rounder eyes than he ever did before. It was a direct contact with a being stronger than death itself. A being potentially capable of turning even someone like the Greater Primordial Deity into a blood mist. Capable of reducing the Realms he witnessed inside his memories into a crumbling mess of chaos.
All of it at the mere hearing of one word.
'I really need to listen to myself more, I said I wouldn't do it, and here I am... Well I was careful about it... but clearly, I attempted to say this word one too many times. Did the Greater Primordial Deity say a taboo word after baiting the Heavens to show their power, and backing out right after? I would do that if I was strong enough, I already know it. So maybe he also had the idea.'
'Still though... that eyeball felt much stronger than the Heavens in cloud form...'
'Anyways, let's watch... no, see how people are doing.' Vanishing, the avatar reappeared inside said Tier-5 World.
Landing on some grass, Alexander wandered around the world without much of a care in the world. It was a great pause to his cultivation session. And as he was admiring his own internal world, a figure flashed by.
'Hmm...' Gazing at the beaten up young man at his feet, he raised this same gaze to meet two people.
'Let's test how good they are. Both at the Dao Fusion Realm.'
"Haa~, junior Elgha, why bother running away? As someone at the top of this world, do you not- Wha-?!" The man talking, he was interrupted by a surging flame attempting to incinerate his face.
"Brother!" The other party, a woman, waved her hand, trying her hardest to dissipate said flame.
After some difficulties, the duo managed to offset Alexander's flame made from his carefully restricted Fire Dao.
Looking around, the culprit was nowhere to be seen.
'Not bad. This flame could pose an issue to many Dao Fusion Realm cultivators. These two aren't so bad.' Teleporting, Alexander flew higher and higher.
Something picked his interest, and after feeling curious but more so cautious, he decided to directly teleport to the Primordial Main Worlds.
Watching the red color being clearly much more visible than Valtos', Alexander was not too happy.
'This stupid Greater Primordial Deity! This stupid mist was most likely a hive mind type of consciousness! Now I'm being attacked because of my hostility!' Descending to the Main Realms, the colorful space was tainted by a faint glimmer of red as well.
'It's spreading... But it can't go too far, the strength it has is not too overbearing.'
Investigating his own world, Alexander created prying eyes in each Universe, trying to figure out his current predicament.
'...it doesn't seem that terrible. While some Universes are corrupted, a much larger portion is completely fine.'
There was only one conclusion to make at this point in time.
The Greater Primordial Deity's consciousness was not evenly distributed. Or more so, could not be. Each particle did not have the exact same characteristics. Some where more developed than others, and it showed greatly.
Out of one trillion Universes, less than a hundred and fifty suffered. As for his clone back then... with how many clones fused together and their repeated testing, the outcome was not farfetched.
'How to deal with it... if I can just remove the bad ones...' Not only would removing all particles cause a gigantic hole in the current cultivation system, it would also be too arduous and unpredictable.
His best bet was to target and eliminate or cleanse himself of troublesome ones.
And his further studying of these particles confirmed it as well. The potent ones would enslave the other particles and spread this way, but these lesser particles did not seem to possess any sentience.
'With the Heavens' help, it should be easy.' Smirking, Alexander ordered his Celestial Realm's Heavens to filter said particles away. And after some learning from the Celestial Heavens, the cleaning process had begun.
This way, Alexander would not even need to bother with his true Origin-Tier World, since these particles would be filtered out anyway.
'As for how to get an exit point...' Unfortunately, Alexander realized that doing it by himself was the only way.
'Still better than nothing.'
Finally, Alexander ordered the particles to be stocked below the Universes, at the very bottom of the Multiverse, sealed by the Heavens' power.
