86] - [Enlightenment]

86] - [Enlightenment]

His body constructed by the Heavens back during his first ascension, Alexander had received a certain amount of help from it. Since it was made from the Heavenly Way, it obviously contained some of its leftover mysteries.

At a moment's notice, Alexander's obstructed vision changed.

He saw the void, the empty nothingness starting to be filled. Filled with green.

The void turned into brown, and gained some blue. The world was born.

The Earth and its many seas and oceans dominated the bottom while the sky ruled the top.

In the middle was evolution and potential.

Enclosed inside this orb of Heaven and Earth, the world changed.

Life blossomed and the void receded.

Green filled his vision.

Life surged inside his heart.

The Life Dao revealed its secrets only for him to witness.

And as the world evolved, as life progressed, death emerged.

A beautiful Dao of Life naked before his eyes, a dark aura of death complemented its sublimity.

A surge of power erupting from his lower abdomen, Alexander felt his Lotus Core tremble.

This was the first cycle of life.

Almost opening his eyes, Alexander would never make such a rookie mistake.

Closing them tighter, the world turned dark. He expected it, no one could force enlightenment, but one could squeeze it dry!

He waited, and even he could not fathom how much time had elapsed.

It was not a first, but was still surprising to him. How long had it been since it happened?

After an unknown amount of time, the darkness receded once more, leaving behind a crystal bead far into the distance. Inside were majestic mountains and rivers, beautiful clouds and a powerful sky. The Heavens overlooked the mortals who lived beneath its profound vision.

The cycle of life continued. The Daos Alexander had comprehended in his entire life washed over the world like a tsunami. They were so powerful yet so gentle. And once again, Alexander experienced a long lost feeling.

The feeling of fear. He feared that his Daos would destroy his world, his creation. The life and death of others was not important, but his own was another story. He knew this world to not only be his creation but also his foundation.

Time flew by even faster, his Dao of Time blurring its own delimitations.

Lost in the world's evolution, Alexander saw it evolve continuously for countless generations.

Caves turned into huts

Huts turned into houses.

Houses turned into castles.

Castles turned into skyscrapers.

And skyscrapers turned into dust.

At some point, all life became instinct. But Alexander did not fret.

Following his instincts, as if nothing was more natural than this, Alexander fed his world his own life.

He felt his body age. But more so his own soul.

He aged, not only physically, but on a more definite way. His entire being, his entire existence aged.

And life blossomed.

Life evolved.

Death emerged and competed with it.

Life and death embraced each other and shone brightly.

Green and red.

White and black.

His soul changing, Alexander felt his life change alongside.

The connection with his world deepened.

Behind his seated, aged body, the unconscious Alexander, lost in a dark cave, had his body magically regain its youth.

His dried body regained its tender yet firm flesh. Its chiseled muscles and its sturdy bones.

An explosion shaking the earth, Alexander's body floated in the middle of a giant hole.

Behind him, a bright lime colored wheel appeared. It was flawless and fantastic. Filled with the wonders of life itself.

The wheel was only a meter in radius and floated behind his head. His Immortal demeanor enhanced further.

This wheel appeared like a beam of lime green light bent into a flat circle, its surface showing movement. The light flowed like an endless river, shining inside the dark cave.

Opening his eyes, Alexander instantly noticed the change.

Smiling, he suddenly frowned.

As aware as he was of the potential of enlightenment, he was still thoroughly shocked.

'Invincible!' Comparing his former peak Greater Existence Realm cultivation base with his current one, the difference was mind numbing. The entire Celestial Realm was in the palm of his hand. He felt like the sturdy earth around him, nourished by the endless Celestial Qi, was nothing but air.

The world became frail. His power had reached new heights.

Standing up mid-air, anyone would feel like a dream was taking life. His splendid life wheel dominated both the mind and the heart.

Wondering how much time had passed, Alexander flew up.

Once at the surface, he frowned.

The Devouring Sect was in a pitiful state. The land had turned red and was devastated. It was not the ravage of war, Alexander had seen this scene countless times.

It was the power of time.

The world did not care about anything but itself, similarly to cultivators.

And so did time. It flowed on infinitely, without stop. It showed no mercy, even to itself. A slave of its own work.

His Divine Sense surging like the tide, it expanded for over 20 000 meters.

Noticing some lifeforms below, he gazed at them.

Obviously, these lifeforms did as well.

They met his gaze and trembled, falling on their knees.

An Immortal had appeared!

The wheel behind Alexander was ethereal yet striking.

But this made Alexander question a certain matter. He had this wheel clearly related to his life, so what about his Divine Root? This root was the Divine Realm's evolution of the Life Root.

Probing his own body, Alexander pursed his lips. His Divine Root was gone.

'Not a bad thing, cultivation is everything anyway. But now I still need to check, there is no way my feeling is correct, right?' Laughing from his own idiocy, Alexander turned around, waving his right arm casually with some strength.

His smile froze.

The result of his casual strike had turned the horizon into a wasteland. Even as he was lost in thoughts, earth and mountains alongside seas were still falling from the high sky.

'I was not wrong! I can really turn the Celestial Realm upside down!!' This was a great shock to him. Even the Greater Existence Realm's peak could only flatten the smaller regions of this world. But the power he felt now...

He finally understood the Ghylar's ancestor to truly be worthy of his legend.

Since he was rumored to have surpassed the Greater Existence Realm, Alexander did not pay much attention to his legend. So what if he unified the Celestial Realm? A peak Greater Existence Realm master could do it as well with some hard work and luck. How could someone even stronger not do the same? But now he clearly saw the difference.

He understood the idiotic scaling of power inside the Celestial Realm.

Alexander did not know how high he was, he was the first to never underestimate a minor enlightenment.

But this was beyond even his expectations.

A wave of his arm, and the world collapsed.

What was the difference between the him of now and the him of before? When he was an Overlord, he could do the same. He had regained his title of Overlord.

But even this incredible eruption of power could not blind his vision.

'Still not the peak!' Not only was there probably one more realm above at the very least, but his destruction highlighted it as well.

The Extreme-Tier artifacts had two grades above the Greater Existence Realm, but this could be a mistake or something else.

However when his own power, capable of flattening the entire Celestial Realm with some slight effort, could not shatter true space, Alexander could only show a deep frown.

Even his current power was not enough to break the barrier of true space. Yet he could probably dig and exit the Celestial Realm by now.

'I still didn't test the sky.' His figure blurring, Alexander shot high into the orange sky, piercing it.

His speed was truly incredible, but this showed the sky's height even more.

Even his current cultivation was not enough to bridge the earth and the sky in a moment.

It still took him a week.

After a week, Alexander had long surpassed his own record.

But even then...

"Seriously?!" It was not that Alexander was angry or aggrieved. But he could not hide his shock once again.

The sky still exerted enough pressure to keep him at bay!
