103] - [Training]

103] - [Training]

Flying across Limbo's dark void, Alexander had only one target in mind.

'I need this legendary state! I didn't think it would be possible when I first began my journey on the Martial Dao. But it is possible, especially now. I just need to train for a bit.'

Rumored was One with Three, this state sounded quite stupid, but made perfect use of a cultivator's three main mind abilities. Consciousness, Subconsciousness and Instinct.

By fusing the three into one, and assimilating this one, one would reach utter perfection. Of course it did not mean perfection as in becoming invincible.

However it did claim to perfectly use one's abilities to their maximum potential.

If Alexander could reach that state, he would gain the natural ability of using everything he ever learned and ever had to attempt a victory. It was easy to react in time when feeling one's instinct, but it was another matter when it came down to subconscious.

Every cultivator's and every being's subconscious was a mad entity, a crazy part of one's soul. All if ever did was take into account everything possible according to the owner's knowledge and imagination, and use it to calculate potential threats and benefits. Some researchers claimed the instinct to be deeply linked with this subconscious.

Alexander therefore knew the correlation between the three. The consciousness was the most important factor, while the subconscious worked with what the consciousness gave it. The instinct followed and did the same with the subconscious.

Alexander did not really hope to attain that legendary state without hard work and luck. And he also did not even dare imagine about perfecting this state as well. All he needed was a fraction of it. A mere fraction would tremendously help him as he already had some of it, he just needed a bit more.

'Every cultivator has incredible instincts and a masterful consciousness. The missing part is the subconscious. But the soul is quite brittle, and not many would dare temper with it. The only way to do so relatively safely is to train for it. Though it could lead to insanity...' Becoming worried the more he thought about it, Alexander only hesitated for a brief moment before darting ahead with even more velocity.

It only took him four years to land at his destination. He was in the middle of the void, but saw a sea of asteroids engulf the horizon.

'Apparently they aren't that many people here, and the whole zone is ruled over by the Ninth Martial Dynasty. So in case something goes wrong, I can still try and negotiate using my identification token.'

Choosing a random asteroid, Alexander dug a hole deep inside before seating cross-legged.

Taking his sweet time, Alexander made over a hundred clones across decades. Each of them had the exact same cultivation base and martial prowess.

'I first wanted to just duel with one or multiple clones, but...'

'Using them as an extension of own training is way more effective!'

The art of cloning was not rare, but not common either. Alexander was not sure about Limbo, but he was aware of some mysteries.

'Logically, no one would waste their time making clones fight each other for battle experience. Well some might... but I don't think I'll see them near here... damn addicts...' Despising himself without realizing, Alexander intended on having hundreds if not thousands or even much more battle.

After recovering their memories he would assimilate them instantly, granting him their hard work. but for it to count as his own work, he needed to use half of his soul each time he created a single clone.

Fortunately, this process would and did go faster as time went on. Each clone had enough of his main soul to slowly recover it and gain a proper soul. Then, each clone would also clone themselves.

It was a tedious and painful process, but it mattered more than anything he currently needed.

Time flying by as if thousands of years were mere instants, Alexander's pale expression gazed upon an army of clones. All of them adorned the same attire and aura, except a bit weaker.

Each and every single clone was at the first stage of the Universe Realm, one minor realm below himself.

Shooting for such a cultivation was not randomly chosen nor without its difficulties.

Alexander needed battle experience, but also an overall better mastery over Origin Energy.

Looking right, Alexander spotted another smaller group of clones, all of them at a very intriguing level of cultivation.

Some were at the Primordial Spirit Realm and others at the Primordial Divinity Realm. He also had many at the Primordial Harmonization Realm as well.

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

These clones were his own set-up of experimentations. They would create clones of themselves and watch them breakthrough the nearby realms. This way, Alexander would maybe understand more about Primordial Humans.

'I need to hide all of this, but... I cannot...'

Scratching the side of his head, Alexander did not wish to use asteroids to hide his experimentations. But without physical defenses against prying eyes, what else could he use?

'Sealed world! I'm so stupid sometimes...' Smacking his face, Alexander recovered a bit more before using his Dao of Space to tear apart false space.

'...'

Wondering why nothing happened, Alexander wondered if he lacked anything.

'I never bothered using it since I most likely could not, but that stupid inn had sealed worlds, and many of them as well! How did they do it then? No one was as strong as me there...'

Pondering on the matter, Alexander had not many choices.

'I'll have to go back and ask them... What a pain!' Gritting his teeth, Alexander left his clones to their own devices before shooting into the void, back where he came from.

The journey back not arduous but boring, especially with his low speed. Alexander finally arrived at the inn after a very annoying trip. Though during it, he managed to find the reason behind these lower cultivation bases around. It was not that the Inner Territory was biased against him, but that experts made special devices and transportations capable of resisting the wild Origin Energy. Alexander, used to this energy after millions of years, did not catch on those same energies remaining tame when inside the Dark Wall and those populated worlds.

Without losing time, since he very well could vastly suffer if he was too slow, Alexander rushed inside, kidnapping a sleeping staff member. He knew that his deed would be noticed even if he was hiding, so he did not bother to.

Outside, Alexander directly used a soul searching technique as to avoid wasting even more time than necessary. After processing the information, he cursed before getting back inside.

A few curses resounding, he left running and flying away.

'I would have needed much longer if they had stronger customers, but since it wasn't the case... hehe! It's mine now!'

Arriving back to the asteroid sea, Alexander sat cross-legged where he originally dug a hole.

Immediately, he took out a black token and a black box.

Spending a mere few months to refine the token, Alexander used it to control the black shiny box.

Leaving the asteroid, Alexander backtracked inside immediately.

'I forgot for a moment that nothing in Limbo can move freely. Anyway, good for me!' Putting the black box where he usually sat, Alexander injected some Celestial Qi inside the token.

Resonating with the token, the black box squirmed and spun at high speed before opening by itself.

'What a weird looking box.' Not paying much attention to it, Alexander saw the box's insides spew out a blinding white light.

After a few moments, a white tear inside space had been made.

Inspecting it, Alexander made a few different facial expressions before removing the tear himself.

'Not worth it, let's hope Origin Energy can fix this problem...' Alexander had immediately noticed the newly born sealed world's lack of stability. It was not designed for battles, clearly.

Redoing the same process, but with Origin Energy instead, Alexander saw it spew a white light once again.

But this time, the space tear was much more viable.

'Stability seems alright, defenses as well... That should do it.' Visiting the completely white sealed world, Alexander then made his clones enter it as well.

Compared with the inn's sealed worlds, this one was much more resilient and possessed an astonishing size.

'Relatively speaking, a Dimensional Dominator could probably make a better one without trouble... but this is not the same scale nor the same space principles. False space here is countless times more resilient than a Universe's one.'

'Still, it is kind of lowly...' Grumbling, Alexander then spent his time increasing his cultivation base while watching over his internal world.

Logically speaking, Alexander should wait and hinder his breakthrough if possible. If so, partaking in the Seven Towering Peaks' challenge once again would yield better results. But he was not so keen on such a dangerous method.

In the cultivation world, the only reason one would block their breakthrough is if the benefits of doing so would outweigh the losses such as possible death.

It was time for Alexander to steadily wait and cultivate until he could not anymore. The Origin Realm was only a step away!

'The first step is the Origin Illusionary Stage, which will require some tweaking...'

His soul avatar forming within a giant colorful mist, the avatar spread its arms wide.

The Universe rumbling, it underwent a sudden squeeze. Detaching the Universe's edges from his Universal Core's extremities, Alexander watched it turn smaller and smaller.

The Universe was gigantic, but still lacked substance. However, it was his current objective to work on it. Putting his palms together, the avatar made the void collapse and the flow of time vibrate.

Both the Dao of Space and Dao of Time worked in unison, forming Universes one after the other.

But a problem soon arose.

'Wait... this doesn't look right, did I... I think I skipped a few crucial steps...' Scratching the back of his head, Alexander's avatar extended its arm towards the center of his Universal Core.

The fabric of reality shifting between clear and blurry, space tears formed while his previously formed Universe was torn apart. Carefully protecting his Universal Core, Alexander understood his mistake.

His first Universe was only an initiation. A small scale Multiverse for testing purposes. There was no point in keeping it.

First verifying if his Infinite Chasing Boundary was still intact, Alexander noticed it to be indeed so. No matter what he did, after sending something to the edge, it would come out from the opposite.

Calming the roaring Origin Energy, deprived of its outlet, Alexander first recreated the void. After which he filled it to the brim with chaotic energies.

The mists returned, they did not have time to do anything before a surge of Celestial Qi spread across the Multiverse.

The Celestial Qi, Alexander's leftover reserves, was soon cut in half. This cut half would then implode before spewing out all other types of Qi.

Qi rushed to the bottom while True Qi stayed just above. Emperor Qi and Star Qi followed suite while the leftover Celestial Qi kept hovering above.

'Now is the last part before it gets problematic...' Having finally uncovered the reason for these Origin-Tier Worlds he saw back then, Alexander started the process.

Small chaotic beads of colors were covered by a dark blue membrane. These Universes, smaller than usual, were thrown down his Multiverse. Creating one after the other like an artist effortlessly painting a blue sky, Alexander forced them to stay in place.

After a trillion were successfully created, Alexander had to stop. His lacking mastery over Origin Energy was a bothersome hindrance.

To create those Origin-Tier Worlds, Alexander needed more resources and knowledge.

Back to his real self, Alexander clenched his fist.

'Peak fourth layer of the Origin Realm... Cultivation is quite easy in Limbo... for now.'
