Cross-legged, as usual, Alexander first began by opening his palm wide.
On top of it, a small sphere of Origin Energy floated about peacefully.
Carefully manipulating it, Alexander tried to disassemble it back into different types of Qi.
Meticulously weaving his way, he tried to first stab the Core Origin Fragment, the center piece made from Celestial Qi.
Managing to successfully poke it away, Alexander followed with the next one, the Inner Origin Fragment made from Star Qi.
About to attain success once more, Alexander suddenly felt his vision turn chaotic as a bunch of colorful rays exploded in his face. Aware of having suffered zero damage, Alexander was not angered by his abrupt failure, but more so concerned.
It did not matter if some wild Origin Energy or a wild incomplete version of it struck him in the face, but it most definitely would if it did so inside of his Universal Core. Or maybe one would claim Half-Origin Core.
'This is going to be such a damn pain~! I'm having so much fun playing with my entire cultivation base as a wager~!'
'And I just thought cultivation would start turning difficult here... well I was damn right!'
Sighing loudly, Alexander spent many years trying to master this deconstruction process.
Removing all fragments within the Origin Energy was not so easy to do. And after succeeding and failing countless times, Alexander finally managed to get the hang of it.
'Doing it while starting with the outermost parts is miles better.'
Taking a hundred particles of Origin Energy, Alexander skillfully disassembled all of them in a heartbeat, without fault.
Watching the amount of different Qi types he had made along the way, floating around him, Alexander nodded.
'It's time to try the next step.'
His next step would be the design and creation of Origin-Tier Worlds. Thankfully, Alexander still remembered Valtos' designs for such worlds, but he still needed to see if there was room for improvement.
Alexander now knew that Origin-Tier Worlds were automated disassembly lines and vice-versa. It made it way easier to tame and refine wild Origin Energy.
The process was simple, but the execution... not so much.
Each Origin-Tier World needed to take in the wild Origin Energy without leaks, disassemble it into all different Qi types before spewing them out to each Universes. Then, it was needed to have them do the opposite. Taking all of the newly born and refined types of Qi and merge them into tamed Origin Energy.
But a glaring issue came jumping at him.
'Now I'm kind of lost... Valtos had no such things as Origin-Tier Worlds in his Celestial Realm, and why would anyone need that in the first place? Isn't it... well I'll see for myself.'
Not sure what he was missing, Alexander reopened his palm wide, forming a ball of matter. Shaping it into a proper world, Alexander carved its insides meticulously, making sure to reproduce Valtos' version without fault.
Once done, Alexander made it refine some wild Origin Energy.
The process was going smoothly, and nothing strange came out. In fact, this small version was doing an incredible job. In a mere few seconds, an incredible amount of wild Qi types surged about. And when Alexander personally handed over tamed Qi, the smaller scaled world absorbed it and immediately spewed out some tamed Origin Energy.
Wielding his marked Origin Energy, Alexander nodded with a smile.
'I don't get why the Origin Realm doesn't require this... why bother?' Laughing, Alexander immediately executed his plans.
Taking a Universe not too much in the middle nor too close to the edge, he created a giant Origin-Tier World. With the broken flow of time, Alexander's experimentations turned sour very quickly.
The moment he attempted to let it do its job with different energy types, the Universe's membrane burst apart like a bubble.
'...'
'Fuck.'
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Cleansing his internal world from all of the wild Origin Energy, Alexander massaged his forehead with displeasure.
'Alright, now I get it. It's not about being hard to improve, it's simply impossible. Universes cannot be built too resilient, and a bit of Origin Energy colliding with the membrane is not a problem, but having it surge inside like waves is calamitic.'
'Now I know...'
Blowing some air in resignation, Alexander soon figured out what to do.
'So I have to make a real, giant Origin-Tier World, and put it in between the Universes and what will be the Celestial Realm. Then... wait I still didn't test that...'
Going back for some more testing, Alexander understood once again the problem. To have Origin-Tier Worlds inside a Universe meant that the residents could very well attack it. This would be a crippling downside, and the reason Alexander was aware of it was because of his own experimentations. Even at the Ascension Realm's absolute summit, there was a point where Valtos' Origin-Tier Worlds were immune to his attacks with the help of Celestial Qi.
A Universe's membrane could not handle Origin Energy in large quantities, but Celestial Qi was not much of a problem. Though there came some questions.
'Celestial Descents were probably caused by Valtos being injured. But why wouldn't it cause the Universe to burst as well? Did it just take that long, since for us, the flow of time was normal... or... I don't know... maybe he managed to salvage the Universe or made safety measures beforehand...'
'Such a mess of technical stuff!'
'Let's take one step at a time.'
'Frist I... And I forgot...'
'Okay, no, I first start by... making an Origin-Tier World... but only have Celestial Qi trapped inside... oh... so that's why that part of his Origin-Tier Worlds was there... it wasn't useless at all!' Comprehending more and more Valtos' decision making, Alexander spent more and more time attempting to comprehend the mysteries of a proper and functional Multiverse.
Alexander never even thought of using more clones to help him, this process was fun and challenging, so much so... he did not even see hundreds of years fly by with the snap of a finger.
Time was already elusive for his numbed senses now, but even so, spending centuries meticulously designing and testing vital constructs could end up boring and tedious.
And finally, after spending an extra two millions years on security tests, Alexander had finished his functioning Origin-Tier World and its even more important core construct capable of offsetting many major issues.
'Valtos, that sly bastard must have hidden it with space principles! At the time he was most likely a step away from the Nihility Realm, and his mastery over true space was already peaking, let alone false space.'
Realizing the reason he was so lost for his testing phases, Alexander was still happy to have succeeded.
Within his Universal Core, a trillion Universes were peacefully spread in a flat plane of colorful beads. Below was the void, and above...
Above was even more void. But hidden within this void, right in the middle of his entire Universal Core, a gigantic Origin-Tier World was present. This was the true Origin-Tier World, but also the only one of its kind.
Its purpose was to take in wild Origin Energy, convert it to wild types of Qi and spew Celestial Qi above while the rest ended up below, where the Universes rested.
The different Qi types would then freely enter each Universes without hindrance and be refined by living beings within, all marked by his own existence. Because of this, all tamed energies could also be freely manipulated by him and his vessel, while also not causing any issues.
After some time, the tamed energies would be secretly sucked inside the three smaller Origin-Tier Worlds inside each Universe, and a teleporter made from space principles would teleport those energies inside the true Origin-Tier World, hidden in the Multiverse's void.
To avoid people abusing or even damaging his factories, Alexander obviously added different layers of pure Celestial Qi inside each smaller Origin-Tier World.
For Celestial Qi, Alexander still needed to figure it out. He still lacked his own Celestial Realm, and therefore had no idea on how to proceed.
But even so, his true Origin-tier World would merge all types of tamed Qi and form tamed Origin Energy for his own usage.
However his next stop, as a fifth layer Origin Realm expert, would be to implement his smaller Origin-Tier Worlds in each Universe before finally attempting to form the Celestial Realm.
After which he would become a peak sixth layer Origin Realm expert.
And so Alexander began. With the Multiverse being part of himself, he luckily had ways to deal with this tedious problem. Otherwise, creating around three trillion Origin-tier Worlds would be a mind killer.
But even so, it still took him a very long time. And after finally being freed from this duty, Alexander could focus on the elusive Celestial Realm.
A mass of light-brown land forming above the true Origin-Tier World, it floated with dignity while spreading across the void infinitely. Touching the Infinite Chasing Boundary, it stretched before marrying the shape of it.
Tightly sealed, it was locked in place. The Celestial Realm, taking as much space as a trillion Universes, had been created.
With the flow of time being incredibly fast, it took only a few moments for life to prosper.
'The flow of time in here is just crazy... How did Valtos even catch us with so much precision... did he stop time? Or was there a cultivation detector stopping or just slowing time as well?'
Shaking his head, Alexander's jumbled thoughts oozed out. Focusing on the matter at hand, he was now faced with a problem.
'How do I imitate an Origin-'
'Ah... I guess I don't have to...'
Noticing Celestial Qi dripping from the Celestial Realm, Alexander narrowed his eyes.
'I can still improve it though! It's not filtering the refined energy from the wild one.'
Using his mastery over many Daos and his influence over the world, Alexander forced a filter to push back up all wild Celestial Qi.
'Now I also know why there was this weird pushing force beneath Valtos' Celestial Realm.'
Remembering the small tests he had made, Alexander wondered if he should do the same as Valtos, and decided to indeed imitate his work.
'Did he make it this way to avoid stronger beings from messing with his Origin-Tier Worlds? Even if a Pre-Celestial Realm cultivator came and attacked one, with their lower strength, even Celestial Qi cannot break past my own.'
'But even so... I might need some help. Some stuff may wear off after a while, I guess that's why having Heavens is so important...'
Alexander was now faced with reality.
He needed slaves! The Heavens were not omnipotent beings or constructs, but janitors and staff members tasked with moderating and repairing obligations!
'That's kind of sad...'
'But also funny so whatever.'
