???: Jennifer POV II

Susan had asked me to follow her and leave Shade behind, but she still hadn’t said anything since she we left her home and we continued further into the forest which I must admit, was a very nice place to live. We had been walking for about half an hour and I started to hear a waterfall.

“Where are we going?” I asked the very quiet individual beside me.

“A spot I need to show you.” She replied timidly.

Neither of us said anymore until we reached a clearing beside a small set of cliffs which did indeed had a waterfall running down. I actually recognised the area from one of the pictures in Susan’s living room. It had her and her pokemon from when she did her journey along with celebie, a latios, and mew.

“Yes, I’m sure you saw the picture and yes, this is where I met the three of them.” She said noticing my reaction. “I haven’t seen them in quite some time but this is also where another major thing happened for me.” She adds before turning to me from looking at the waterfall. “This is where I met Johnathan.”

“Oh.” I didn’t know what to say. I wanted to try comfort her but I didn’t know how to considering me having my abilities was the same reason she is telling me this.

“The idiot he was fell straight on top of me from the top of the falls while being chased by some spearow.” She said with a sad smile. “Unfortunately for me while we were close, we never had any romantic interest in each other all though we definitely were extremely close.”

I watched as Susan sat on the ground so I sat beside her. The two of us sat silently for a while as the sounds of the world around us just continued onward. It wasn’t until Susan stood back up that words were spoken again.

“I want to teach you how to use your abilities for a bit.” She spoke as she reached down to grab my hand which I accepted as I was pulled up. “Both Johnathan and I had to learn the hard way but at least I can teach you how to do it.”

I sat pouting after several hours of trying to produce some moves that pokemon of the dark typing could learn but nothing was working. It was so aggravating! I kept watching Susan do it over and over again. And every time I tried it just didn’t work!

“Why wont it work?!” I yell as I lay back on the ground.

“Are you still comparing yourself to me?” Susan asks as her head poked into view above me. I instinctively averted my gaze away and I noticed she just closed her eyes and shook her head. “Listen Jennifer, it took me and Johnathan years to work out we could even do this stuff let alone actually trying to learn how to do it.”

“But you said it yourself. You guys didn’t have a teacher.”

“Maybe the method me and John learned just isn’t how you need to learn it.” Susan said as I heard her lay down beside me. “Despite being over a hundred years old, and having all that time to learn what I could do with these powers, I know very little in the way of how they start due to how rare meeting another person like us is. I just got absurdly lucky meeting the four others I did and being able to stick around with one. Johnathan was the one I learned with and he needed to visualise the whole process differently to me from what he described it as. Out of the three others, only one of them learned it the same way I did.”

“And who where the others?” I asked just wanting to distract myself for the time being.

“Hmm?” She sounds before going silent for a moment. “Well Linsy was and still is a child. Playing games with people even if she is old as the hills. Her human form she normally takes is still that of a young girl.” She says with some annoyance in her tone. “Alexender, or as he liked to be called Gol for whatever reason is an odd one. He basically ditched humanity and hides in the wilds exclusively. Only met him once on my travels in the Hoenn region when I was trying to befriend a butterfree. Weirdest 24 hours of my life. Next one I met was Luna. She was the youngest I had met until you. Surprisingly enough she was, at least when I last met her, the strongest I had seen. Even Linsy was scared of her. I think she got so skilled so quickly because she was with her fathers, the previous physic one of us, beheeyem.”

“So is there more of us still?” I asked interested in what Susan had to say.

“As far as I know there is one of us for each type of pokemon.” She answered. “But as I said, I only met four others. But I guess do you want to have another shot at trying those moves?”

“I guess I can give it another shot.”
