63:Up and About,,, again

It was sunset before those left me alone. The worst part was that rather than the questions being unique or difficult to answer. They, just, kept, asking, about the same topics in different wording. It was aggravating! You can only answer the question ‘have you fought anything big’ so many times before it starts to get to you. But thank whatever god exists that Dawn came back and told them to bugger off so she can sleep.

My body was at least feeling well enough to walk about which was nice but oddly enough Jennifer nor Susan had returned yet. Oliver had come back with the other pokemon the two twin trainers had before going about his own business, occasionally checking on me which was nice I have to admit.

And something I only noticed when the darkness of night started to set in was that my rings were acting, erratically. Their glow was rather restrained but they would randomly flicker which was rather concerning. Maybe that was why Oliver kept checking on me? Regardless, I managed to get them in order before I once again saw Asra who gestured for me to follow them. So on some slightly sore legs due to my, ‘fight’, with the legendary pokemon, I followed after the other umbreon.

We exited the house as the moon which had just started to once again cycle from a new to a full moon and being in the even partial light made me feel better. I continued to follow Asra as she walked a slightly more overgrown trail then she had taken me on before, but she stayed silent as she led me somewhere. It was a silent several minutes before I started to hear some running water which I assumed is our destination. A minute or two went past before I decided to break the silence.

So where are we going? I ask catching up to her a bit.

You will see when we get there. She responds quietly with a smirk.

So we continue to walk in silence before the a unexpected flash and sudden sound of an explosion echoed out scarring a lot of pokemon, both diurnal and nocturnal species, and some started to run the other way. Asra just continued onward like nothing happened which I wasn’t sure if it made me concerned or felt safer. But I just went with her and just dimmed my rings.

The sound of water by this point was roaring making me think of either a large flow of rapids or a waterfall. And eventually I heard voices, which I recognised as the two missing humans who had yet to return back to the house. But it wasn’t until i got closer and another loud sound echoed out that I could make out what was being said.

“Did I hit you too hard?” I hear Jennifer call out sounding rather tired.

“Well I’m not dead.” I hear a winded Susan respond from wherever they were seemingly fighting but before I rushed in I saw Asra unbothered so despite my rising panic I stayed calm.

“You sure, you cracked the stone.” I hear Jennifer’s concerned voice call.

“I’ve had worse.”

“That’s, um, concerning.”

“Not really? Actually, I’m not too sure myself now.” A few second passed as we still made our way forward. “You look really pale. Do you need to sit down?”

“Im, im goo..” Jennifer manages before she goes silent and I hear someone running. So I start running aswell. I covered the last distance in a few seconds. I cut through the last bit of tree to view a waterfall pouring down into a running stream in a cleared grassy area which had several signs of a fight. A fight between pokemon to be more spefically. Susan was near the edge on the opposite side of where I entered standing over the collapsed form of Jennifer. I dashed over with Extreme Speed and stood beside Jennifers unconscious form. Susan flinched at my sudden surprising arrival but she quickly checked her to make sure she was okay. A few seconds passed as I felt ready to protect Jennifer before Susan relaxed with a sigh.

“She is okay Shade. She just exhausted herself.” She says with relief. My body relaxed a bit but I went and laid down beside her to make sure she was okay before I looked around the area to just see the amount of damage and it was clear to me that it was clearly a fight between two very different levels of strength. Although most of the smaller bits of damage just kind of seem to exploded rather than what it was meant to do. But, I didn’t see any pokemon between the pair of them so which gave me an idea on who caused these marks. Asra came up to us and sat with me to watch out for the unconscious trainer while Susan sat a bit away looking shyly at us probably feeling a bit guilty for at least having a part in what Jennifer’s state is.

But for now I would just make sure Jennifer was okay.
