A male voice suddenly emits from somewhere in the ship. “WARNING, RECON 1 IS IMOBILE, TRAPPED ON BEACH, SERVER DAMAGE TO ENGINE SYSTEMS, HULL BREACH DETECTED AT ESCAPE HATCH, CONTACTING COMMAND….. COMMAND UNRESPONSIVE, PRECEEDE WITH HULL REPAIR AND ENGINE REPAIR.”
“Well, that’s, interesting.” Oliver says.
The sound of something falling is heard back through the rooms we came in. I look through the door to see one of the compartments above the beds on the left now missing a panel, but I can’t see anything inside from my angle. Jen runs over to look inside the compartment and starts climbing the nearest bed to look inside.
“Shade, some light please?” She calls from the bed. I jump up and use my forehead mark to light up the small storage area and there wasn’t anything in this one. Jen reached for the next compartment as I jump to the next bed. She can’t reach it, but I can just slide the small door to the side. This one had a broken flashlight in it. I kept hoping from top bunk to top bunk opening the little compartments. On the left, out of the 6 compartments, 2 were empty, there was the one with the flashlight, one had a bullet and the other two had ripped and degraded clothing.
I jump to the other side and land on the bed closest to the engine room. Its compartment was welded shut. I try just sliding it before activating Bite. I wasn’t able to get a grip as how the storage space was designed so that was useless.
A little help? I ask the trainers who were going through the mattresses that were intact. Oliver grabs Aron who was snacking on the door to the engine room and lifts him up to me. He gets to work and rather than just biting the door, he precedes to just bite a hole in the entire thing. I mean I’m not complaining, it’s just really surprising. Looking into the small compartment, I can see a green sphere like shape made of pentagons. Kind of like a big dice. I can reach in to touch it but it probably won’t come out with the size of the hole.
Aron, rip a bit more off but be careful, there is something in there. I say to him which he carefully takes a second bite out of the compartment.
“What you two got?” Jennifer says walking over.
I slide my paw in and start pulling the thing to me. It slides and rolls out the hole onto the bed we are on. It was a dodecahedron that could comfortably hold in your hand, but you would need both hands to completely wrap your fingers around. The green part I saw was one of three sides evenly spaced. The first has a slit down the middle, the second and third had smaller black pentagons in them. It was quite an odd looking thing. I know in one of the games there was the thing for Zygarde but it looked different than what I remember. Jennifer picked it up and walks over to Oliver with it.

“Hey bro, any idea what this thing is?” She asks getting his attention.
“No.” He says looking at it. “Pass it here.” He gets a hold of the strange object He spins it around and starts tapping it. “I don’t even know where to begin with this thing. Did you just find this?”
“Shade did. That’s what was in the metal cupboard that Aron broke into. Let’s check out the other 5 and see what’s in them.”
“While you do that, I’m going to ty use the consoles in the other room. Maybe that might give me an idea.” He says walking off. I jump to the next bed and slide the door for the storage and find a piece of blue glass. Sliding it so it fell on the bed, it was too heavy to be glass, more like a crystal. It was also cold to the touch. Looking back into the storage compartment, there was also a deep purple one sitting in the corner.
“An ice stone!” I hear Jen call and snatch it from in front of me. She held it up to the light while I grabbed out the next one which must have been a dusk stone then. “Another one!” She yells in surprise. “Get the other ones open!” She excitedly yells at me.
I jump to the next one and open it to find nothing but an old blank piece of paper. The third compartment had more clothes while the fourth and fifth were empty. Opening the last one, I find two stones resting in an old wooden box. One much larger than the other.
“OLIVER!” Jen calls out to her brother. “THERE IS A MEGA STONE IN HERE!” She yells reaching in to grab them. The two stones were definitely a pair. The key stone looked like they did in the anime being rainbow and having the pointed double helix shape in them. The mega stone was primarily black with a yellow and grey centre. Oliver runs in over to his sister to see what she had.
“Wonder which mega it is.” Oliver says holding the black sphere with a grin on his face.
“It doesn’t matter, we have one!” Jennifer says excitedly yelling.
I guess this was worth the detour.
“Well good more good news and bad news.” Oliver says still looking at the black mega stone. “Good news is the consoles are working and the data seems to be intact.” He says before looking at his sister with a worried look. “The bad news is this sub belongs to team Flare. Their insignia is the background for the computers. We shouldn’t be here.”
That was a bit of concerning news. It did seem like this ship had been abandoned years ago and the welded door meant no one had been here for a while. There were even valuables still here, so no one has been here since it was abandoned but why was it welded and the object sealed away. The vessel also tried to connect to with a command centre.
“I started downloading all the files so we can just wait for a bit and head off.” Oliver added.
Aron was at least enjoying himself as he was ripping the storage compartment apart and just eating it. This place was cool, but the question still lies about why they needed a submarine in this lagoon where it can’t go anywhere. Unless there is something underwater that it needs to go to but there is no way for us to check that.
Overall though, we have two evolution stones, a keystone and mega stone for some pokemon, an odd object, and a bunch of criminal organisation data. Might be a bit disappointing though cause as the ship was called Recon. No bad for an impulsive decision.
