57: Meet and Greet

57: Meet and Greet

I bolted through the bushes and undergrowth, dodging through the trees as I headed towards the approaching energy I felt. I could tell that Asra was somewhere behind me, but I didn’t know where Susan is. But that at the moment didn’t matter. I bounded forward at a rapid pace as the forest moved all around me. As I got closer, I felt the mega stone form some sort of connection and warm up. As I continued forward, I realised that this stone was what lead my in the direction

The trees flew past as I approached at a rapid pace, and I could now tell that it was indeed Jennifer that was emitting the weaker of the two energies. I don’t know how I did. Hope? Instincts? Fucking divine intervention? Who cares? A sudden change in the energy made me certain that Jennifer was running in my direction as well.

I could fell she was extremely close and I just charged my way through a bush to get there faster. I collided with something and continued with my trajectory forward while flipping before landing roughly on my side and everything continued to spin for a few seconds as I continued to move. Once everything stopped spinning, I got back up and saw the twins looking very surprised at me with Oliver lying on his back now.

“SHADE!” They both yelled and rushed over to me. Jennifer reached me first and picked me up in a death grip, strangling the air out of my lungs.

“I thought we lost you.” Jennifer quietly says to me.

Cant, breath. I managed to squeeze out causing her to suddenly release her grip while still holding me. Thank you.

“How did you even end up out here?” Oliver asks looking worried.

I got launched by an explosion. I state and I could see while Oliver didn’t understand, the colour from Jennifers face drained.

“WHAT!” She yells into forest surprised.

Look, I’m fine. I say to the now panicked Jennifer.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

“You just told me you got thrown here from an explosion!” She worriedly yells and her grip increases once again. “I am not letting you go again.”

Wait. I say as I look around with my ears perked up. Where is Sune and Lumi? I felt muscles tense as I look around and I couldn’t see the two vulpixes, suddenly feeling extremely anxious.

“Funny story.” Jennifer says with a slight laugh. “But, they um. Caught themselves?” She unsurely says as she grabs a pokeball on her hip which Oliver follows suit with. These two balls were covered in splotches of green and brown to make a forest camo on top while they had a dull silver base. A beam of light shot out as the pokeballs open and hit the ground. The light takes form and now stand both vulpixes who are smiling.

Your back! They both happily yell but before anymore could happen, a rustling was heard behind me. We all look towards the sound and I see Susan walk out of the undergrowth without any alterations to her body with Asra beside her.

“Hi?” Susan shyly says.

“Hello.” Jennifer more happily responds.

So you followed me. I say to Susan to get a nod out of her.

“I did, would have been nice if you didn’t just bolt.”

I guess I should have said why I ran off.

I looked back to Jennifer and her eyes were in surprise. And I realised I should have probably introduced them better.

Okay, Jennifer, Susan. Susan, Jennifer. I pipe up before looking at Jennifer. And Susan has the same ability as you.

I could see the cogs some what stop in her mind as she processed this while Asra and Susan stayed there while both vulpines looked at me with confusion. Oliver just stood their confused being the only left out of the conversation.

“So you are like me?” Jennifer finally unsurely asks after a minute or two while looking at Susan, now causing Oliver to learn about Susan’s nature. Susan shyly nods, clearly uncomfortable around people by the looks of it. I can also see her slightly shaking which reminds me of why she even came to begin with. “And how did you find shade?”

“I, I wasn’t the one to find her.” She shyly says while rubbing her arm. “Dusk, my ordeleon, found her while wandering the forest and we helped her. She slept for three days while badly wounded.”

“She was hurt that bad?” Jennifer says with concern as her grip tightens a bit. I looked around and saw Oliver and the vulpixes looking concerned. Susan just nods before grabbing a phone from her pocket.

“I guess you guys can come back to my place.” Susan offers. “I can at least offer some more answers there.” And with that she quickly turns around and makes her way back.

“Wait!” Jennifer calls as she carries me with her in order to follow Susan back.
