The sun once again rose again without much sound. Even the crickets seemed to have been quieter the whole night. I think it was a combination of me being on edge and my imagination but with that odd invisible, I’m going to assume human, and the hunter in the forest it makes sense. Once everyone was awake, I told them what I had seen last night and Susan decided to at least for now keep her pokemon near the house, even if some of them didn’t want to. Which I can somewhat understand. Who would want to be suddenly stuck at home when until then you had the freedom to run all around it? It was about midday before I heard my name being called from outside.
I walked outside to see the twins had all their gear, which really didn’t amount to much because of their fancy dancy backpacks, and were chatting to Susan before I felt two separate shoves on my side. Not enough to knock me down but it did surprise me. I look to see both Lmi and Sune both holding on to me with big eyes and smiles.
“Well, we should be heading off now.” Oliver says to Susan who nodded. “It was definitely nice to meet you all be it rather unexpectedly.”
“And thank you for helping me with my abilities.” Jennifer says as she hugs the woman who had helped us for the passed few days.
“It definitely has been the most interesting few days ive had in a long while I must admit.” Susan responds with a smile looking to the canopy high above. “Do be sure the look after yourselves.” She added before quickly looking at me. “Especially her.”
You make it sound like I’m trouble. I retort glaring at her.
“Oh you aren’t the issue. Its everything else that is an issue seems to find you.” She shot back, making me suddenly lose the nerve to look her in the eyes. “Just don’t get yourself killed because of it.”
“Can we visit if we are around?” Oliver asks to which Susan nods.
“If im being honest you are the first guests ive had in about a decade so it would be nice yes.” The woman replies with a smile. “The road Is straight that way.” Susan says pointing southward to a somewhat overgrown trail. “You cant miss it unless you are deaf, blind, and stupid.” With that, the twins nodded and started walking the trail to which I started to follow. I reached the trail and turned around to see all of the eeveelutions looking on with Susan waving. I saw Asra looking on with a sad look which when I noticed caused my mood to drop a bit but I still went onward. The two vulpines I helped save quite literally on my heels.
Can you two let go please? I asked and the I felt them let go almost straight away.

We walked for about an hour with the twins walking just ahead of us before a question that was somewhat gnawing at me finally won out.
So why did you two catch yourselves? I wasn’t watching their reactions but I heard their sudden lack of footsteps for a moment before the continued. They didn’t respond straight away either so I just continued on in silence before one of them spoke.
Well we were curious. Sune responded shyly for some reason. The other pokemon with us never seemed to have an issue with them like you do so we wanted to know why you did.
My pace hesitated for a moment before I continued onward. I owe you both still that explanation from back in the city so I guess at camp tonight we can do it.
I notice that Jennifer’s body language shifted a bit when I said that which I guess meant she was listening in but it wasn’t like I was being quiet about it. Although it did make me consider telling her about my situation but I wasn’t sure how she would respond. But I guess I can decide after talking to the foxes about it. It wasn’t long before the light up ahead was clearly brighter and soon after, we entered the light and once my eyes adjusted, I saw we had entered the mention road that sat between the cities and towns of this world.
Standing in the direct sunlight of nearly midday, I felt uncomfortable which was still weird considering that until that forest this was never a problem. I don’t know if it was because I spent so long in that amount of darkness or what but im just gonna try to block it out.
“So it should be that way to the ocean.” Oliver says looking up from his phone which he preceded to put away before reaching into his bag and pulling out the weird dice shaped item from the sub.
Did we ever figure out what that thing was? I ask getting a blank look from Oliver.
“I don’t believe we did.” Jennifer responds looking to her brother who still looked confused due to not being able to hear my side of the question. “She asked if we ever figured out what that green orb is for.”
“Ah. From the stuff I got from those computers, it wasn’t even listed as far as I could find.” Oliver says looking the pentagon sided shape. “I haven’t tried to open it in case I damage it either.” He adds with an annoyed tone. He tossed it up in the air slightly but as it came down, he tried to catch it with one hand but it slipped from his grip.
I leaped over as it fell but I had no way to catch it. My body reacted on its on as I felt energy rush around my body and focus on my eyes and the object just stopped while a blue colouring highlighted it.
“How long have you known Psychic!” I hear Oliver yell in surprise as he slowly grabbed the object,
Um. Five seconds or so now? I ask surprised as the energy dissipates.
Could you teach us that! I hear Lumi yell with excitement.
I turn back to look at the snowy and fiery foxes only to see their wide eyes starring back with more excitement than when we started the trip. I turn back to face the two trainers who looked on in surprise making the situation feel uncomfortable. So, I just kept walking and ignored the questions. I walked several meters before I heard the others walking behind me so I knew they at least where going to put aside this sudden use of a new power.
