It’s been two days since the attack on the city. Yveltal was contained by the Queen of the Garden and Xerneas who managed to drag the destruction pokemon far away and revert it back to its cocoon form and brought it back here and sealed it again. Team Magma members were either captured or managed to flee the city. The damage was slowly being cleared while people and pokemon searched for anyone in need. Xerneas was able to revive most of the pokemon and people converted to stone, but the first ones hit couldn’t be saved. I got hit by a piece of debris from somewhere that cut a large wound on my left shoulder but it was starting to heal.
Oliver and myself have searched the city but we couldn’t find Shade anywhere. We don’t know where she went. The pokecenter said they would inform us if she came in and she was added to the list of missing pokemon and people. I shouldn’t have left her behind when the attack started.
It was currently night time as I sat in the room we were given by the pokecenter as I look out the window towards the almost empty moon.
“We will find her.” Oliver says from his bed while he looked at reports from other cities that had also been attacked around the globe. “She gets into trouble, but she always seems to come out okay.”
“Yeah.” I quietly say. “But what about them.” I say gesturing towards the two vulpixes that have followed us for a while now that are currently together in a corner. “They really only stick around us because Shade was with us. I don’t think the still completely trust us.”
Oliver just sighs as he looks at the two vulpixes. Sune was currently watching us while Lumi was curled up tightly asleep. Sune looked somewhat unsure and afraid.
I sigh and look towards the moon again, wondering if Shade is okay.
The city looked better than it did yesterday and some places were starting repairs. I once again searched the city with Fen beside me and hoot flew high above in search for Shade. Oliver stayed behind in the room to watch over the vulpixes while he searched for something on his phone but he didn’t tell me what. I started to give up hope she was in the city at this point and I was starting to get worried someone from Team Magma had taken her.
I made my way to the police station in the city and checked out the lost and found board. It had even fewer entries today then it did yesterday, leaving about a dozen missing people and pokemon. Unfortunately, Shades entry remained.
I wandered the streets until I reached a large crater that was the result of the large flying ship and its weapon that was meant to put Yveltal in a state to be easily captured. Every time I passed it I considered that Shade got hit by it and died but the chances were slim of it happening so I always removed that theory from my mind as I searched.

No, my main theory at this point was Shade had been taken during the chaos and was still somewhere in the city. Although I don’t know anymore. I searched the sombre streets for a few hours alone, as both Fen and Hoot had returned to their pokeballs with defeated looks. I eventually aimlessly wandered to the large flower garden that was owned by the Queen of the Garden. I looked over towards the large hedge and I notice a small hole in it. I look around and the few people that wandered the garden didn’t seem to notice it. I shift my gaze back to it and I feel like I need to enter it.
Putting one foot in front of the other, I make my way to the odd gap and I reach it before I realise just how close I am. I just stand there and look at it, hesitating, wondering what is beyond the hedge and why I feel like I should enter it. With a deep breath, I walk in through the hole and enter the small enclosed space to see the shiny florges sitting on a small chair with a smile on her face.
Welcome. Says a calm motherly voice in my head. I know why you felt the need to come here.
“Than you can help me right?” I hopefully ask the powerful fairy type.
I can indeed tell you where your little friend is. Those words in my mind brought nothing but anticipation for an answer which as the seconds passed, I realised I wouldn’t get just like that.
“What do I need to do to find out where Shade is?” I determinedly ask.
Well having a seat would be a start. The garden pokemon telepathically says as she gestures to one of the three open chairs. I walk over and take a seat opposite of the queen and wait for her to talk.
How much do you know about your little umbreons past? She asks with a smile.
“Not much.” I respond shyly.
Have you ever thought to ask her. Or should I say him.
I looked to the florges with confusion. Not understanding what she said at all.
Well, in order for me to tell you where your little friend is, I require three simple things. She mentally says sweetly but with a cold demanding gaze as she raises a finger. The first is when you reunite with your umbreon, ask her about their true past. She raises a second one. I want you to learn of your abilities as a blessed. And finaly. She states as a third finger rises. Do bring your brother and that little umbreon back here sometime. Its always nice to chat with unique people and the more the merrier.
I went over her requests before my mind settled on her second one. “What do you mean my abilities as a blessed?”
The queen merely giggles at my question as a section of hedge parts. You will find out. And your little dark type is currently not in the city. She is with a unique individual who lives outside of the city. You can ask around as to her exact living quarters if you know where to start. Now then, go and search for your companion. She hurriedly ends with a sly smile.
I quickly leave the small, enclosed space and turn back to see the hole I left through is now gone.
With renewed vigor, I headed off, heading straight for the pokecenter with a smile on my face.
“I’m going to find where you are Shade.”
