The twins and the ref notice the fourth person holding a pokeball walking up to me, so the ref intervenes by releasing the beedrill from the pokecenter as I run to Jennifer as Oliver moves over to us as well.
“Who the fuck are you supposed to be, the guy who gets my honey.” The pretentious prick says.
“No, I’m the guy who tells you to get lost.” The beedrills trainer says clearly not going to put up with this guy’s attitude.
“Well then prove it you stain on my boot.” As the fourth guy says releasing an odd coloured arcanine. “Do you even know who I am. Im Hardy fucken Jones, so move so I can get that umbreon.”
“First up, I haven’t even heard of you and second, lets move to the field then.” He says standing so his beedrill and himself are between the asshole and us.
“Arcanine, flamethrower!” He yells as the wasp dodges, grabs his trainer and lands where we are as the fire strikes right where the two were standing.
“Fine, lets play. Sting, mega.” He says sliding his coat off to reveal a mechanical right arm with a stone imbedded into the back of the hand before tapping it. The bump on the beedrill turned out to be an imbedded mega stone as the beedrill mega evolved.
“Aerial ace.” The cyborg calls out. The beedrill is coated in white light as it moves quickly towards the canine.
“Flare blitz!” The arcanine is coated in flames and charges head on. The two meet in the middle and after they clash, the arcanine is sent flying back to where he started.
Holy shit
“Now then, back down buddy.” The beedrills owner says with the upper hand.
“Fine!” Hardy says returning his pokemon. “But I will have that umbreon.” He aggressively adds as he leaves.
“Thank you mr, I didn’t get your name.” Jennifer says as he turns around.
“Ben, and that’s Sting, and we don’t work for free.” He says walking up to me. “You can repay me by letting me hug her for a bit.”
What?
“That seems fair.” Jen says happily.
WHAT! I look at Jen before I am suddenly grabbed by his mechanical arm, and Oliver is on the ground dying of laughter.
I struggle but I can’t get away, so I stare at Jen with an annoyed look.
“She is quite warm, what’s her name?” Ben asked while petting my deflated self.
“That’s what I said and its Shade.” Jennifer happily says while looking at her laughing brother. “Thanks for the help Ben.”
“You’re welcome, I didn’t get either of your names.” Ben said while patting me.
“Im Jennifer and the mess on the ground is Oliver.”
“Your welcome Jennifer and Oliver but as for Shade, she stands out quite a bit so you might want to keep her in a ball at least in towns.” Ben suggests.
“We would but she down right hates it.” Oliver lied. “She basically will try whatever excluding hurting people or pokemon to dodge the recall beam.”

I started to zone out as I looked at his arm. It was quite interesting. It looked like a normal arm in shape and had red plates covering various sections. I could see in between the plates and look at the various wiring and the basic frame of the arm. What was interesting is that it looked like there was compartment below one of the panels which when I touched the panel, it lifted up to show slots where pokeballs would fit in their carry form with two currently slotted.
“Interested are we Shade?” Ben asked while holding me breaking off from his conversation. I nodded and he put me down and extended his hand. He was able to what looked like make a pokeball appear in his hand from thin air before he returned his beedrill and made the ball vanish again. He also had a compartment for a pokedex and spare balls. The most surprising hidden thing was an extendable blade.
It was all very interesting until he suddenly stood and said to the twins “It is quite impressive you have a wild pokemon following you.”
“What do you mean?” Jen tried playing dumb.
“I know she’s wild and just following you. Not only was it weird how quiet you were in the centre as any trainer with a pokemon who stays outside their ball wouldn’t need to or care. But what’s common among every case like her is they are quite curious and are more intelligent than other pokemon of their species. Plus, it’s always just a feeling I have whenever I have met a pokemon like her.”
“Yes, okay, Shade is wild.” Oliver confessed. “But with the intelligence and curious part, does drawing and trying the write count?”
“Definitely.” Ben responded. “What did she write?” At this, I run over to the dirt field and write ‘Where does all the gear and such get stored?’ again. “Well, it definitely was a question as there is a question mark at the end, but I don’t know what she wrote.” This was disappointing as I would probably have to learn a whole alphabet to talk with them but at least the words would sound the same. “She is quite smart so you could probably teach her.” Ben added before turning to leave. “Well, it was nice meeting you, but I got to go. But once last thing Shade. Consider having one of these two catch you, it will save so much time and effort.”
I hate how everyone is right about the pokeball thing.

The twins left for town to collect supplies and such, but I decided I needed to stay and think.
What both Ben and Saph had said was true. If I wanted to stay with those two, the only safe would be to be caught by them. While it seemed perfectly reasonable, I was mostly afraid. I don’t know why as well. As far as I could tell, there isn’t a real downside to being caught by a good trainer. I guess it must be instinctual.
It wasn’t till a knock on the door broke me of my thoughts that I paid attention to my surroundings. I really need to get better at that. When no one opened it, the door suddenly burst of its hinges and flew at me. I dodged using extreme speed only to see Hardy standing at the door with a machamp. “I told you I get what I want.” He said from the door and I turned to run out the window to see it blocked. “Would you look at that, your stuck. I overheard your little conversation in the field, it pays to have good hearing. Your wild. Those people you are with are idiots to leave you alone. And you don’t have that bug to protect you. So now your mine.” He said with a sadistic grin.
“Use dual chop.” He commanded his machamp to do. The machamp rushes me with glowing green arms and I was only able to dodge using extreme speed. I look out the door to see its blocked by the arcanine and Hardy smugly looking at me.
“Keep at it!” He told the machamp who kept swinging while I kept dodging. I had to escape before being hit so I stood in front of the broken door and the aggressor used dual chop again which as I wasn’t there to be hit, splintered the door and shattered the window.
“You idiot! Grab it!” He angrily yelled. I turn and use extreme speed to escape and right before I was about to dash out the window, my tail is grabbed, and I’m pulled back and then held upside down with me struggling to escape.
“Toss it around.” Everything suddenly becomes blurry before I feel sharp pain in my back. Im swung again, and again, again. Being slammed into the walls, floor and furniture. Everything hurting till I’m dropped on the ground and I struggle to stand. Hardy knowing he’s won walks over to me and kicks me back down. Holding a pokeball, he slowly says to me with a sadistic grin, “You made this so easy and like I said to you before, I always get what I want.”
He reaches down with the pokeball before something in my snaps and is use dark pulse. On him. At point blank range.
The twisting mass of shadow strikes him in the chest launching him into a wall knocking him unconscious. I hear sirens and people running and I see the machamp and arcanine looking in confusion before I fall unconscious as well.
