It quickly caught up to the mob of pokemon and the lycanroc who had under his paw an unconscious team rocket grunt. There was an obvious dint in the wall beside them. The wolf pokemon took off again, sprinting down the hallways before he stopped and lept towards the left wall, crashing through the door there and ending up in a large staircase.
The various pokemon with the natural ability to fly went up the centre of the circling stairs while the rest of us charged up the stairs. The group of us circled up the staircase for a few dozen floors before they stopped. One final blew door stood in front of us, which was quickly smashed off its hinges, the door sailing straight of the side of the building.
I hope that doesn’t hit anyone. I say as the lycanroc charged through the new hole.
I followed swiftly, along with the rest of the captured pokemon. I look around, ready to do some destruction, but saw nothing.
The roof of the prism tower had a roof where you could walk with a much smaller structure in the centre that if it was hollow, probably was three floors tall.
Over here! I hear called from above and see a talonflame hovering on the opposite side. I dash over with Extreme Speed to find a blue door, much like the one no longer on its hinges. I see all the other pokemon quickly making their way over here, so I decided to open the door.
I used the multishot Dark Pulse, creating two spheres of darkness, before launching them at either side of the door, aiming for hinges and locking mechanism. I followed up by Dark Pulse. The twisting mass of purple easily ripped the metal sheet right out of its socket. The door flung into the room, slamming into a far wall and causing sparks and electricity to fly upon contact as it crushed one of several control panels and large screens. I rush into the room and I see two male team rocket grunts, one each side of the room, spinning around and throwing a red and white ball each.
“Seviper, Poison Fang!”
“Houndoom, Flamethrower! “
Both pokemon appear and the snake immediately charges, the two protruding fangs glowing a pinkish purple glow. The houndoom reared its head back as I dash to the side. I could feel the scorching heat singe my ride side as I hear a crash. I activate Dark Pulse and send the mass of shadows towards the houndoom.
“Dodge it Houndoom!” The order came to late as it hits directly, knocking it back. The seviper flies backwards infront of me and I turn to see the lycanroc in an aggressive stance.
“Shit!” I hear one of the two criminals yell as I watch the rest of the pokemon make themselves a large entrance, sending concrete flying, before the swarm in. The two grunts look at each other worriedly, their pokemon standing defiantly in front of them.
Back down! I hear the lycanroc yell at the two pokemon which caused the two to flinch.
“What do we do?” The grunt on the right with the houndoom nervously asked.
“We keep going.” The other responded. His uncertainty evident in his tone. He reaches down to grab more pokeballs. The lycanroc, seeing the threat, responded efficiently. A large stone launched him upwards straight into the roof. His body colliding into the celling before falling again. He didn’t get up. His seviper stood infront of his downed trainer, defending him.
His ally saw this and seemed to somewhat break. I look around the room now that nothing is happening. It was concrete with various control panels and monitors all around. The left side had another door. But there didn’t seem to be any machine here.
I dart to the doorway with Extreme Speed and see it is a staircase that goes further up.
This way! I call to the large group of recently trapped pokemon. And some stay to watch these two.
Stolen novel; please report.
With that, several pokemon stayed behind as the rest of us moved on to deal with the red lightning.
The stairs were empty, and I reached a landing with a door on it. The door quickly was thrown through the doorway. A painfal scream was heard before the door smashed into the opposing wall as I dart in. The room was significantly taller than the last with a central object going from the floor to the roof. There was 5 people in the room. There was three men and one woman, with the fifth being the kid I discovered talking to Jennifer and Oliver. Z. He turns around as the door fell down to the ground, revealing a 6th person slumped against the wall who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
“Hello there.” The boy says as the adults grab pokeballs from their belts. “Its interesting you’re here, Shade was it?” He grabs an ultra ball from a belt that goes from his left shoulder to his right hip. “The device shouldn’t have worked on you.” He added as a galvantula appears from his ball, signalling the rest of the group to release their own pokemon. A crobat, a golem, a yungoos, and a fraxure all appear.
The electric spider went to immediate action, firing string towards the other pokemon and myself. I retaliate with Dark Pulse, piercing the string and striking the attacker in the forehead. This was the start gun as I focused on the boy. Moves from all types shot out, making everything a very sudden chaotic mess.
“Galvantula, Electro Ball.” I hear called as a ball of electricity shot forward. I sidestep, feeling the electricity sipe by my side. I charge forward with Extreme Speed, everything blurring but staying visible as I swiftly move to the right side of the spider. I spin, Iron Tail taking on a whip like shape, slicing down the side of the large pokemon which was then struck with a stream of flames as I land a short distance away.
“Discharge!”
I leap back as a yellow pulse emanates, I felt everything tense in my body, causing my limbs to contract, while I was wracked with pain all throughout. My back hurts as I stop moving, I quickly right myself as a talonflame is slowly rising to the air, guarded by the second one. Various other pokemon nearby are rising also, although some seem to be twitching as electricity appears occasionally on their body. The spider seems unharmed, even tough being hit directly by a flamethrower.
“Shock Rain!”
I shot multiple Shadow Balls towards the electric and bug type as the two talonflames sent fire, the lycanroc tossing a large stone, and two caterpies used String Shot. Everything smashed into the galvantula as rain started to fall indoors. My body suddenly lost control. Electricity coursing throughout my body. My senses went fuzzy, sight whited out. It stopped quickly and I lost balance but my leg moved to keep me standing. My vision returned almost instantly, and I saw both birds falling and two unconscious caterpillars laying down.
The world arounds me blurs as I use Extreme speed, getting above the spider. I used Iron Tail once more, changing the form to a massive hammer. I spun my body, feeling the large attack smashing into something and continue. I see the spider flying across the room into a team rocket grunt and towards the wall. I dash away, appearing in front of the large central machine. It had a few marks, scratches, and burns. But I wanted it gone.
“ELECTRO BALL!” I hear Z yell as I activate Iron Tail and make a large hammer out of it. I copied myself using Double Team, knowing the attack wouldn’t be as strong from them, but damage is damage. I also swaped my position for one of the copies as a lightning ball struck the clone that was my pervious spot. The lot of us swung at the machine, causing it to have a section ripped off and launched into the wall and cracking the concrete where the debris landed.
“GET THAT UMBREON GALVANTULA!” I hear the boy furiously yell. My sides are suddenly crushed and the world blurs before coming to a swift stop as am I sideways. My right suddenly explodes in pain before everything starts spinning. My back spikes in pain as I come to a stop and I see the galvantula running towards me. I dash out of the way with Extreme Speed, ending up about 10 meters away. I look back to see the spider surrounded by various other pokemon. I see the other team rocket grunts on the ground not getting up or struggling to move.
EAT SHIT! I yell at the giant bug. It used Discharge and knocked everyone around it down before heading towards me.
I start backing up, firing Shadow Ball after Shadow Ball. My back eventually touched something. I looked back to see I had backed myself into the wall. I started running along the wall as something grabbed my back legs and pulled me off balance. I start sliding backwards and turn my head to see a string stuck to my legs, tying them together, and being pulled. I fire Dark Pulse towards the galvantula, striking it but it either didn’t care or wasn’t hurt badly. I then aim for the string and sever it before using Iron Claw to cut the remaining string. I dashed away with Extreme Speed once again. I look back and I don’t notice Z anywhere despite the glavantula still being present. Its then I finally noticed the sounds of sirens.
But the police where the least of my concerns as the unstoppable bug kept marching along.
