I woke standing in front of the entrance to the Prism Tower alone. People were all walking around, all be it in far fewer numbers than the streets before.
What am I doing here? I asked confused. Jennifer and Oliver weren’t near me. Or even in sight. When was I with them?
I think back to what I last remember which was just a blur. So, I try to remember when I last saw them which was at a food truck with a few red benches setup so customers could sit and eat. I was enjoying some food with the other pokemon when I saw the red lightning. Them my memories are a blur. There is something very wrong.
I notice along one of the other cardinal direction roads a persian just walking with their eyes fixed to the tower. I walk over to it and stand in front of it. It’s eyes were unfocused, able to look at whatever was in front of it, but seeing nothing.
Hello? I say waving my arm. The persian just starts walking around me. I push the cat and while it stumbles a bit, it quickly gains balance and keeps walking. Next, I use bite and attack it on it’s side. I lazily land the bite and quickly let go, moving backwards just in case. The persian just stops in its stride. Just standing there. A minute passes as nothing happens. I go to tap the classy cat pokemon but it just collapses.
SHIT, are you right? I yell in surprise as I move over and stand over the collapsed classy cat. The persian’s eye quickly opens, and is bright and focused. It swiftly gets up, darts away, and stands looking in my direction as it eyes darts back and forth while its front claws glow white before it focuses on me.
WHERE AM I! The cat demands. WHO ARE YOU!
Calm down, you were just walking here, like you were hypnotised. I explain to the stressed pokemon.
LIAR! It yells as it lashes out, swinging its glowing claws towards me. I doge with extreme speed and can see people around us looking on with interest. Probably thinking a trainer battle is going on.
Calm down. I saw to the enraged opponent as he takes another swipe at me which I dodge again. Listen to me, something is wrong with the tower. I say but am clearly ignored as the persians front right leg glows a deep purple before it rushes me and swings it arm. I dodge the attack and look back to see the concrete crack from the impact and the attack swiping towards me. My left side flairs up in pain and I can feel the wind rushing along before my right side is hurt and I come to a stop. I look back to see the wall of Prism Tower having stopped my momentum. I glance back to see the persian rushing towards me, arm still encased in a purple light. I leap out of the way but my back leg flairs in pain as I leap. I land a few metres away and look to see a mark on the upper part of my leg.
Everything becomes blurry as pain flairs on the side of my head, and I feel like I’m falling. I stand disoriented for a moment expecting more pain, but nothing happens.

Once my vision is properly back after a few seconds, I can see why. The persian is gone. I look around but see the pokemon nowhere in sight. The crowd that had formed swiftly broke up and they all went their separate ways.
Was I out of it long? I question. I look back at the tower. I look upwards and see the feline scaling it. Why, I don’t know, but it was making swift progress. It eventually reached a section of glass that was before the point where the tower curved outwards, which opened and it darted in as the glass covered the hole once again.
Something is defiantly wrong. I need to find the twins.
I start heading back the way I most likely came from which is the south heading road. My sides and left back leg were sore, but nothing that would stop me walking.

I spent an hour looking for the twins, unable to find anything I had seen before. If my memory wasn’t so muddled right now, I would be fine. I move to the side of the street, away from everyone. I sat there and thought up to when I last saw them. I could remember where we travelled from the pokecenter. So, rather than trying to follow where I had been, I would try to follow where we all had been. I headed towards where I thought the pokecenter should be along the southern road.
I started to head in the direction I thought it was before I turn my head towards Prism Tower and see the red lightning strike the tower, and a voice enter my mind.

My mind comes to as I stand in a room with a few cupboards, buckets, a mob, and a sliding door about half open. I hear a click behind me and see a woman in a black outfit closing a window which overlooked the city. She turns around to reveal a red R on her chest. Team Rocket. My body turns around to face the stranger, goings into a defensive stance, ready to fight or run. The team Rocket grunt grabs a small pole from her belt with some sort of grey ring around the end. Kinda like a net without the mesh. I hear a click and it extends to about a meter long.
“You are a pretty one.” She says grinning while slowing approaching. I started backing up towards the door. She doesn’t rush me even though I am slowly heading towards the door. I hear a click behind me and glance to see no one at the door. I look back to see the woman with the ring now on a 90 degree angle from the pole, pushing it towards me head, aiming to get it around me. I leap back, avoiding the hoop, and I slam into something, surprising me as I fall down. I see I hit the closed part of the door and I quickly dash out the open section. As my head leaves the door, my neck feels taught as I am pulled upwards and it gets hard to breathe as something is pushing up against the bottom of my neck. It quickly tightens around my hole neck, holding tightly but not constricting.
“Got ya.” I hear as I fall to the ground. I land on all fours and leap away down the hallway. Everything becomes a blur as pain shoots across my body from my neck.
IT HURTS! I scream. The pain cuts out and I can see somewhat clearly. I am laying down, so I go to shakily stand before my body is wracked in pain again. I could feel my mind slipping. Through the blurred image of my sight as pain spans across my collapsed body, the last thing I see is a man with a metal pole walking towards me.
Then all I see is black.
