41: A Legendary Meeting

41: A Legendary Meeting

I woke up seemingly late at night as the lights in the facility were dimmed, only producing a small amount of light each. The room having a few small bright lights all around from various machines. Sune and Lumi were both happily sleeping while I was curled around them. I felt a smile unconsciously appear on my face at the sight.

My god my life has become an interesting one.

With nothing better to do, I decided more practise with Puppeteer would be a good use of time. I’d like to practise my other experimental moves are significantly more dangerous. I guess Sand Atttack wouldn’t destroy anything. Although it might make a mess.

Actually, I could play around with how different energies move. I activate Iron Tail but like my original testing, I have the energy more around my body as just a blob. Using a move like this is so odd. I guess the thing closest to it would be rather than making something out of playdough, you just play with it. But as I move the energy blob around my body, I decide to experiment with something new.

If I can do it with one type of energy, I should be able to do it with more. I quietly say to myself. What moves do I have that improve my body?

Going through my imaginary list of moves, I decided to play with Crunch. Considering it is a dark type move, I felt it somewhat fitting to play with it. Plus, it was the one I was most sure nothing would go wrong. Don’t know why though.

Triggering the move, my fangs light up and seemingly expand as a silver light coats them. With the move active, I try to shift it, similar to how I moved the steel type energy, to initially, some difficult success. The different types, when toying with them in this way, have a different feel to them, sort of. I cant really describe it. I guess the simplest way to describe it would be that every type has its own unique properties beyond what they physically do. Although that feels innately wrong as well. But pushing that aside and playing around with the dark purple blob of energy for a few minutes, I noticed how natural if felt to play around with the dark type energy. More so than the steel type. I guess that’s to be expected.

Next was to see how I could use the energy. I moved the energy along my front right leg which I lifted up and held in front of me. A set of three black claws appeared on command.

Guess I have Shadow Claw now. I say to the quiet room as I dissipate the move as the energy goes to moving around my body. I then moved the energy to my tail as I try to create a dark version of Iron Tail. Unfortunately, and to my disappointment, my tail is only coated in the energy, remaining dormant. That is odd. I add as I move my tail back and forth. It felt like it should work, and it seemingly did, but I just knew it wasn’t working. After a few minutes of trying, I gave it up. It didn’t feel like it was just enough to coat it with energy. So I went back to playing with the blob of dark energy. I started moving it to various parts of my body, just seeing what it would do.

Several hours passed before the vulpixes and I were allowed to go back the Jennifer and Oliver as the sunrise faded. We went about our daily routine before we left the centre and started walking around the town.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

About ten minutes pass before we reach our destination. A large, green, flourishing park, with commuters going about their day and a large playground that had several kids playing on it along with some small yellow and blue pokemon. The dunsparce seemed pretty content to just play with kids. We walked for a little more until I saw what the twins led us here for. A set of two battle arenas dug into the ground with a fence around it and a few benches and plant beds. Other than the bug gym, it was the nicest arena so far. Actually, definitely the nicest as it had flowers and just felt more relaxing than where a gym battle would take place. There was already a battle taking place between a phanpy and a chimchar. A pair of young boys on each side of the arena with an elderly man acting as ref.

I looked to the twins, both holding their pokeballs. Each of them looking at the other with an obvious decision on their mind. They both took off to the arena and entered it. I had the still nervous foxes follow me and we sat on a bench to watch the fight. Each of the twins after grabbing one side of the arena, released a pokemon. Oliver releasing Froakie while Jennifer released Hoot. As the two went at it, my attention drew my sight elsewhere. Some distance off, I saw a girl standing under a tree looking at me. The same girl we had helped yesterday. She was looking directly at me before she glanced around and vanished in a shimmering rainbow light. I noticed the branches above where she stood rustle as a pair of pidoves flew out the top.

You two stay here. I say to Sune and Lumi as I walk over to the three. Unsurprisingly, they didn’t listen so I just let them come. As I stand beneath the tree, I see the girl sitting on one of the branches about halfway up.

You two want to stay down here? I ask the two foxes and look to see them both shaking their heads. So be it. I said as I grabbed Lumi and created a copy to pick up Sune. Both my and the clone leap up, bounce off the trunk, and land on a thick branch nearby the odd girl. I carefully sat Lumi down and slowly controlled the copy to do the same for Sune.

Now then, who are you? I ask not expecting an answer.

I think you would know that already. The girl happily responds with a childish female tone.

Despite hearing the same words come out of a pokemons or person mouth, I instinctively know when it is one or the other. And in this case, it definitely wasn’t a person speaking.

So you are a latias then? I ask, having guessed her identity a while ago but not being sure. She just simply smiles as she is obscured by the rainbow light and in her place now hovered was indeed a latias. Well then. I just say, not to sure what to do now. I glance over to see the two foxes nervously looking at the legendary dragon.

Do you want to play hide and seek? She quickly blurts out to my surprise.

Ahhhhhhhhh. Is all I could say as the bloody dragon gave the saddest look she possibly could. But a sudden question from somewhere else drew my attention.

What are you doing here! I hear yelled from behind me. I turn to see an older man and a boy in his late teens.

I just want to play. The latias shyly says as she regains her human disguise. And this umbreon and her train… She manages to say before the older disguised pokemon cuts her off.

People are the reason your brother got almost taken from us! The latias is about to respond before the man buts in. We are leaving! He yells, the look on the girl’s face is sombre.

Yes dad. She quietly says as she vanishes.

And I expect you three to shut it. He angerly adds looking at me, Sune, and Lumi. The two foxes easily shy away but I don’t.

Look mate, you can’t exactly stop me so bugger off. I angerly say back to the man. He simply looks at me as the boy and himself vanish. I glare at the direction he was in before grabbing my adopted kids and heading back to the bench. I sit atop the steel bench and the first thing I see is rather than a froakie, in its place stood a frogadier. Opposite it was Fennekin just being released from her ball. I guess Hoot lost although Froaki.., I mean Frogadier, looks like he took some hits, but Fennekin was at a type disadvantage.

I’m placing my bets on Fennekin though.
