As his chest grew heavy, he sat down on the bed reading the contents of the note over and over again.
‘We both know what you are after. Meet me at Ryz palace on the next full moon at midnight - Alone.’
It was an odd note, a short one, but something about it made Andrew feel uneasy. It was not handwritten, but typed on what seemed to be an old paper. The edges were torn off and Andrew had never heard of this place before. He knew someone had put it there but, to whom was it addressed? Who was it from?
‘Could it be for me?’ Andrew thought.
Meanwhile, in the parking lot, Ann tries her best to get a grip, as she can’t stop crying. Emma leads Ann to sit by the stairs on the first floor and offers her some water, giving her the space and comfort, she needs.
“He really didn’t,” Ann mumbles. Emma hears her words but doesn’t reply. She just waits for Ann to relax, and hopefully not descend into panic.
“You feeling better now,” as the tears stop and Ann can now meet Emma’s eye she nods. “You want to go back upstairs or…”
“I think I want to just sit here for a while,” Ann says as Emma nods now sitting next to her. They sit silently and all that can be heard is Ann’s sigh.
“You don’t need to worry about Andrew,” Emma says casually. “He’s probably up there sleeping; he’ll be fine on his own.” Whether it was because she wanted to put Ann’s concerns to ease or if she was trying to change the subject, it didn’t matter. Ann was just happy Emma wasn’t asking the obvious questions. As they sat there, they didn’t know Ben had returned and is now taking the elevator back to the apartment.
“I’m back,” Ben says. Having not heard from Oscar, Ben was curious about what happened. He was hopeful and didn’t expect anyone to be at home. He wanted to greet the empty house, a house where he and Ann can now live away from her past.

“Hi Ben,” A weak voice said from the bedroom. Ben now lets out a painful sigh as he realises things might have not gone according to plan. Putting on a smile he goes into the room.
“What happened to you?” Ben says noticing Andrew’s condition. “You seem drained.”
“It was quite an eventful day,” Andrew’s small smile does not register with Ben as he notices the paper in his hand.
“What’s that?” Andrew hands it over to Ben who is as surprised as Andrew is. “What on earth is this?”
“I don’t know,” Andrew replies as he takes a heavy breath.
“Ryz palace? That place got knocked down after a terrible earthquake, nothing there but rubble now,” Ben says suspiciously.
“Did you do this?” Andrew jokes.
‘Well, I know who you are and what you want, I just don’t have proof.’ Biting his lip before these words can escape his mouth, he answers.
“No.”
‘Oscar said he was going to test him with a crime scene, I think he would have given me a heads up if he was planning this…,’ Ben thinks.
“I thought so too,” Andrew says and they hear the door open. Ann and Emma walk in, Ann’s face tells her story and Ben almost forgets what he’s doing and rushes to be by her side.
“What happened?” he whispers embracing her. Ann feels relieved and embraces him, holding him in her arms for a few minutes. Emma leaves them to each other and joins Andrew.
“What you got there?” Emma asks and he hands her the note.
“This is interesting. Where did you get it?” Andrew explains everything and Emma quietly listens, thinking. She tells Andrew not to think too much of it and to rest. Listening to his doctor’s orders, Emma leaves him to rest joining Ann and Ben is the living room. Ann is now smiling, looking relaxed.
“You lovebirds done?” Emma says walking up to them and handing Ann the note as Ben’s eyes widen.
“What do you mean what I am after?”
“I think it’s for Andrew,” Emma replies as Ann now looks concerned.
“Where did you find this?” Ann asks.
“It was in his room,” Ben says as Ann looks at him suspiciously. “I didn’t do this.”
“Calm down,” Emma says.
“This can’t be for Andrew, right?” Ann asks.
“Yes, I do think it was for Andrew. Whoever left this clearly wanted him to find it. That’s why it was in a drawer where he keeps his medicines. He’s alone most of the day as we all know, so he definitely would have been the first one to come across it.”
“Probably a prank,” Ann says.
“It’s too strange to be a prank,” Ben comments. “Why would anyone pull a prank like this? Telling a man with amnesia they know what he wants and to meet him someplace alone?”
Soon a discussion arises with regard to the note. And despite the various opinions on what to do, if the note was real and who could possibly send it, there was one thing everyone suspects.
‘The one who sent this thinks Andrew is Nicholas.’
