A month later, Ann lives alone continuing her internship as usual with Benjamin now coming for counselling on a regular basis. Benjamin and Ann have now become good friends, with his name now cleared. Benjamin is making good progress much to Ann’s delight. Benjamin’s feelings for Ann grow stronger the more he spends time with her. As their relationship grows to a proper friendship, Benjamin decides to leave asking her out for later. Oscar and Fiona’s relationship is going strong as she is happy her brother is now proven innocent. But Oscar on the other hand is worried about his sister Ann. She never told him a thing and always avoided the topic, concerning Oscar. Ann also was concerned, she knows she shouldn’t feel this way, but she hopes to see Nicholas someday. She knew what she felt was wrong but she can never forget how well Nicholas treated her. He truly gave her the love she wanted, but maybe it wasn’t the kind of love she needed. Meanwhile Dean and Oscar reach a dead end with this case, with not much evidence to tie Nicholas to these events the case goes cold. Tom who was shocked by these events tries to make sense of it all. He finds it difficult to believe his friend did all of this and Ann’s silence on the matter leaves him with a few questions. As everyone continues with their lives, the memory of Nicholas lives on in their minds. Whether good or bad, he did affect their lives in many ways.
Meanwhile outside of town near a stream, Nicholas sits peacefully all alone listening to the sound of the water. Just then a car drives up to him and stops out of it steps a woman and Nicholas begins to speak.
“It took you long enough, Fiona,” Nicholas says.
“Here’s everything,” Fiona says as she steps out of the car agitated. “The car you asked for, the money. Now get out of my life!”
“Took you long enough to pay me. You are the worst client I ever had,” Nicholas remarks. “First you tell you to kidnap Scarlet so you could kill her, then when you chicken out you tell me to do it. Then instead of paying me the rest of the money, you order me to kill Gregory.”
“You caused me more problems with what you did,” Fiona replies angrily.

“Me? You’re the one who wanted her dead,” Nicholas replies smirking.
“You didn’t have to frame my brother for it,” Fiona says angrily.
“How many times must I tell you, I didn’t,” Nicholas replies. “You should have thought it through before you hired me. Your brother did threaten them, didn’t he?”
“That is not an excuse,” Fiona says trying to deny her hand in her brother’s mess.
“You are the one who wanted them dead, sweetheart,” Nicholas says staring into Fiona’s eyes intimidating her.
“They hurt my brother. What else was I supposed to do,” Fiona says softly as Nicholas shrugs his shoulders. “And please don’t come back. Oscar is so worried about Ann because of you and I don’t want him to worry anymore.”
“Then why didn’t you tell your beloved boyfriend that you hired me to commit that murder. That would help him wrap up that case. Or how about you just tell your brother I’m sure he,” Nicholas asks.
“He doesn’t need to know anything,” Fiona interrupts angry as ever.
“Are you sure? You did a good job pretending you didn’t know me,” Nicholas says as he smirks. “To be honest I wasn’t sure it was you when we met that time for dinner.”
“Shut up,” Fiona says. “I don’t have blood on my hands.”
“Maybe,” Nicholas says as he stands up and walks towards her and takes the car keys from her aggressively.
“What did you do to her?” Fiona asks as Nicholas looks at her. “Ann I mean, she isn’t saying anything about what happened. What story did you tell her?”
“I told her the truth,” Nicholas says shocking Fiona. “Not the whole truth, I left you out of it.”
“Why?” Fiona asks confused.
“Because I care about her, she deserves the truth,” Nicholas says.
“You can’t care about anyone,” Fiona says in a detesting voice. “You are a killer, that’s all you will ever be.”
“Maybe to you,” Nicholas says his expression turns serious. “She deserves the truth and so does Oscar.”
“Listen!” Fiona’s outburst is interrupted by Nicholas’s deadly stare.
“You do whatever you like Fiona. But don’t blame others for your mistakes. You started this mess and one day, Oscar will learn about what you did. Until then,” Nicholas says as he gets into the car and looks at the back seat and sees two brief cases of money.
After checking everything, he drives off as Fiona stares at him. Nicholas drinks some water he carried with him, spilling some on his arm. He wipes it off smudging his art tattoo as a result. Nicholas drives away smiling remembering his time with Ann.
“I will see you soon…. Ann…”
