4 Years Later
“Do you take this man to be your husband, to have and to hold, through sickness and in health till death do you part?” the priest asks.
Annalise smiled, dressed beautifully with her hair tied in a bun and a bouquet in her hand. As she takes a deep breath, she looks at her brother, who couldn’t seem happier.
“I do,” Fiona says smiling.
“I now pronounce you man and wife.”
With this announcement the priest left not wanting to interrupt, as Oscar doesn’t waste a second to kiss is new wife. As the crowd cheer to congratulate the couple, Annalise becomes a little emotional and begins to tear up. As the couple leave the building happily followed by the guests, Annalise stays behind to compose herself.
“Everything went off without a hitch,” Benjamin says as he walks closer to Ann and hands her a handkerchief.
“I don’t know about that,” Ann replies, carefully wiping her tears but not her makeup. “We almost didn’t have a bouquet for the bride.”
“Oh, so that’s what all the shouting was about,” Benjamin says sarcastically as the two of them share a laugh.
“Your sister was not that loud Ben.”
“I beg to differ. I’m just glad nothing else went wrong, otherwise we would be on a manhunt right now for my ballistic sister who though the sky wasn’t the perfect color for the occasion,” Benjamin says sighing as Ann chuckles. “Thanks for taking care of it so well. You are nothing short of amazing.”
Fiona was not easiest bride to deal with, as the day of her wedding drew near should would grow more and more anxious. She wanted the perfect wedding and ensure nothing or no one could ruin in. “If I didn’t tell you this already you look stunning,” Benjamin says as he whispers in her ear.
“And you look really good in that suit,” Ann says smirking as she kisses Ben on the cheek.
“What is this? Ann is ok with a little PDA?” Benjamin teases as Ann blushes.
“Everyone has left, no one is around, no need to make a big deal out of this,” Ann replies.
“I love you Ann.”
Right now, at the alter another couple kiss as they embrace each other. Benjamin and Annalise have been a couple for about two years now. Following Benjamin going to therapy and slowly recovering, he and Ann began to hang out. Soon their friendly meetings had turned into romance, with Benjamin liking Ann for a long time. Ann too had grown to love Benjamin and though she has moved on, a part of her always felt otherwise.
“We better get going,” Benjamin says as they head for the reception.
The reception was lively with everyone having a wonderful time. Oscar and Fiona are now meeting the guest as Annalise sits down, taking a moment to breathe.
“Here she is, the sister of the groom,” Emma sits down next to Annalise as she takes out her phone. “Selfie time.”
Though tired Annalise smiles for a few more pictures with her best friend. As Ann relaxes her face, Emma begins pinching her cheeks.
“What are you doing Em?” Annalise asks as she now rubs her cheeks.
“It hurts smiling that much doesn’t it,” Emma comments. “Same with my cousins wedding, just pinch your cheeks, open your mouth wide and close it. It’ll help loosen the muscles.”
“Thanks Em,” Ann says. “Next time just tell me instead of pinching me out of the blue.”
The women laugh and talk, allowing Annalise feels at ease.
“Now it’s time for the bouquet toss.”
“We are so going,” Emma says as she pulls Annalise to the front. Fiona stands smiling as she turns around as the women surround her.
“You better take care of my sister,” Benjamin says smiling.
“And you better take good care of mine,” Oscar says standing next to Benjamin as they watch Fiona preparing to throw the bouquet.
Fiona then throws the bouquet close to Annalise as she reaches out to catch it.
“Ann,” Fiona says turning around as she steps forward to hug her now sister-in-law, who has caught the bouquet. Annalise is so surprised by the outcome, she didn’t notice Emma holding off the other women behind her. Annalise happily looks around and sees Benjamin as she holds onto the bouquet blushing, Emma then comes and hugs her from behind. As the women talk Benjamin puts his hand in his pocket and tightly grips a ring box.
