“You chose the wrong person to point that gun towards.” I teleported before Pierce as he was leading Natasha under his gunpoint.
“What the fuck? Where did you come from?” Pierce asked as he made sure he had both hands on the phone ready to press it.
“I will kill her.” Pierce threatened seeing my silence.
Suddenly a hologram appeared in front of him. “Recognise them?” I asked Pierce who recognised the image of everyone in his family.
“Take off one head and two will replace it,” Pierce replied back with a smile.
“That’s fine with me, but your family is about to find how living on the street is going to be like.” Suddenly the accounts of everyone in his family appeared before Pierce along with their balance of 6 to 8 digits which soon started to drop rapidly.
“You bastard!” Pierce shouted at me.
“You mess with our family I mess with yours. This is going to be a lesson to everyone in hydra.” I said as I nodded to Natasha who turned around to punch Pierce.
"OW!" Pierce stepped back in pain.
He quickly began tapping his phone as he moved back, only to see nothing had happened to Natasha. He looked at me in fear. “After the events in 2012, you seriously think I wouldn’t be able to handle Zola, your stupid software etc?” I asked him just before Fury shot him.
*Bang* *Bang*
Nat and Fury looked at me in worry. I nodded towards them. “Go, I will be fine,” I told both Natasha and Fury who quickly went out after throwing away the badge on her chest.
I stood before Pierce. “You know if Zola could develop a shitty algorithm like that what made you think I couldn’t make a much better one either?” I asked Pierce who was looking at me grunting in pain.
“Your whole organisation was always watched by me. They would not be in this world for much longer as I will soon send every single one of them off the same way you intended to send us all off. But before that, they need to experience what it feels to live like a beggar.” He died in fear and pain.
------------------------------------------
[A few days later]
I didn't intervene in the events much after Pierce passed away. One thing I did do was massively siphon close to most of Hydra's funds and all of their members' savings to for myself. I could have completely drained all their funds but I didn't want to crush them that easily.
They had to be slowly choking on every bit of air as they lived from now on, before my freedom in 2016. The measly amount of remaining money in their accounts, would only give them a tiny bit of needless hope to keep going.
It was fun watching all the Hydra members run around like headless chickens. 'So much for the multiple headed Hydra running around like headless chicken!'
I felt a tight grip on my arm and looked down to see Nat taking a deep breath.
“You worried about the hearing?” I asked her as we appeared in front of the United States Capitol.
“A bit.” She said as she handed me her bag and jacket.
“Well don’t be,” I told her.
“They will definitely ask about you, as you are not from this country and I married you,” Natasha stated once again to me.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
“Trust me they won’t. They would rather kill themselves than ask you that.” I told her before I moved a strand of her back.
“Could you not just do the same for me and stop me from having this meeting?” She asked me in annoyance.
“Interference.” That earned an eye roll from her.
“Anyway, your hearing is about to start,” I told her as I opened the door for her, and she walked in.
I stood by the door playing some game on my phone. I noticed the glare send by the high ranking members of the United States Department of Defence as they walked past me, which I ignored as I was too focused on playing.
After a while, Natasha walked out followed by a bunch of reporters questioning her but she remained silent and ignored them.
"Miss Romanoff, care to comment on..."
"Mr David, what is your..."
Having mike and grubby hand shoved to your face wasn't pleasant. I would have swatted them all aside if not for Nat, not wanting something like that.
*Whizz* Several portals opened up out of nowhere from the eyes of people. *Swissh* This caused millions of silver nanobots to walk out, taking a tough bodyguard appearance.
"Please make way!" Coming in tough my sweet guards pushed the media representatives of us.
Nat looked at me in surprise. I winked at her causing her to smile.
"Corrupt all their footage of after the meeting!" I ordered quietly causing my UI to now destroy the live footage.
"You can't do this!"
"You have to comment..."
Few of them tried to agitate us not knowing the live footage was cut off, but we ignored them while my nice guards held them back even if it meant forcefully holding them back.
I walked silently beside her until we got in our car and took off.
“They were awfully silent about you, even when the reporters asked that question for them,” Natasha said with a grin. I chuckled as I took my hand off the steering and grabbed the bottle of water from a portal before handing it to her.
“I tend to do that, don’t I?” I asked her as she drank the bottle of water.
“What now?” I asked her as I didn't bother driving at all, allowing the auto-drive to do all the work.
Nat reclined the chair and leaned back. “I need to give something to Steve,” Natasha told me.
“I want to give him something as well. But what about after that?” I asked her.
“I want to look for my parents,” Natasha told me as she leaned on my shoulder.
“I thought you said they died?” I looked at Natasha.
“Yeah, I said that but I want to see their final resting place at least,” Natasha answered. I caressed her head as before leaning on top of her head.
--------------------------
I waited by the side as Natasha gave Steve the files containing everything about Bucky.
“Also, David wants to tell you both something,” Natasha informed Steve.
Steve looked at me, with a smile as I walked up to him and Sam.
I gave both of them a file. The front of the file had 3 characters under the Avengers logo ‘R&R’.
“R&R short for rules and regulations. I want both of you to read it and understand it. The government will soon enforce it upon all of us. So, it is better we propose it ourselves first to be in control and have plenty of freedom to work with by the end of this month.” Steve nodded his head before opening the file. He frowned as soon as he saw the first page.
It was basically the Sokovia Accords but with more freedom and less monitoring from the government side.
“Steve, it is either this or something harsher than this. There is no negotiation on the table. I want both of you to decide by the end of this month. Due to the collapse of Shield, all the governments are slowly fearing us and our capabilities."
Even Sam frowned seeing the mentions on the file. "It will be 1 more gentle push before they either enforce it on us forcefully or brand us as criminals. This way we can manipulate them to think they are in control while we retain our freedom. Consider it seriously."
"Alright, just give me some time to read it and understand what you need me to do." I looked at Sam.
"I am new to all this business, but I will give it a read. When do you need a reply by?" Sam asked me.
"I have given one to all of the Avengers. I will call for a meeting by the end of the month and I want an answer by then." Both of them nodded.
"Before you reject it remember I can predict the future very accurately." Sam's eyes widened hearing this while Steve didn't look surprised.
"From my prediction if none of us signs it, we will face something much terrible than R&R. You can just imagine it as the world government having an initiative to restart experimenting on your blood samples again. There would be more people like Bruce when that time comes.” I said as I left with Nat, leaving behind a shocked Sam and worried Steve.
As we got into the car Natasha looked worried for some reason.
“Worried about the regulations?” I asked her.
“A little bit. How harsh would the government regulation be if we don’t sign it?” She asked me.
“Everyone will be forced to give their complete biometrics to the UN, which is like giving free blood samples of Bruce and Rogers for the government to experiment on.
Those who sign it will be stopped from participating in any action no matter how vital it is in other countries other than their own.
No signing means no free superhero business of any sort etc.” I gave her few examples which increased the frown on her face.
