Tony noticed the message that partially got through his communication system. “What the… Pineapple is more of a show-off than I am.”
Tony smiled as he took flew towards the nuclear that just emerged in his sight.
“Alert! Stay calm! All non-Chitauri do not interfere! Do not engage!” Selvig looked at his laptop which kept repeating the same message stopping him from activating the systems.
Selvig looked at Natasha in hopelessness. “I can’t shut it off!”
Natasha looked at the laptop furiously as she held the sceptre. “David…”
Just as she began a voice came through the laptop separately from the rest of the devices. “Nat wait until Tony comes in with the nuke.”
Natasha froze for a moment as she heard the voice she hadn’t heard for 2 years. Shaking her head, she tried to contact Tony to confirm what she heard. “Tony! Have you got a nuke coming this way by any chance?”
“Yeah! How do you know…”
Tony paused as he realised how she could have possibly understood it. “Never mind. It's gonna blow in less than a minute and I want this thing in the portals ass when it does that!”
Tony grinned as he said this, while Natasha looked at the laptop which finally removed the restriction. Selvig looked at Natasha. “Can I?”
He motioned towards the laptop. “Give it a try.”
He nodded as he began working on it. “Done!”
Natasha got the staff ready as she looked for Tony.
Just at that moment, a resounding voice emerged from all the communication device repeating the warning. “Chitauri!”
Hearing the voice all forces stopped attacking to look around in confusion.
Selvig looked up noticing a being in silver standing in the sky without any sort of thrusters like Tony or any support. “What the…?”
Natasha hearing this followed his line of sight to notice the silver armour with spirals. She took a deep breath as she clenched tightly onto the sceptre. Without waiting a moment, she looked away from the armour.
A voice projected through the whole city to which all the Chitauri stopped to hear as if recognising it. “Look up!”
All the Chitauri’s looked up along with all the civilians to see the silver armour with the red energy glowing by the side. “This is your last and final warning! Leave this planet or face death!”
The Chitauri’s snarled hearing the order. “Dumbass since when do you speak alien?”
Tony grumbled as he carried the nuke while watching the transmission from afar. However, to his surprise, he saw all of the Chitauri’s screaming at the silver thing.
“I know you can understand me. I am warning you one last time. Leave this planet or face annihilation.”
David warned to which the Chitauri’s response was to send a Leviathan through the portal. “Very well! You have chosen death!”
All the Chitauri’s watched in eagerness at the annoying pest which had managed to hijack into their communication device.
The Leviathan flew towards the being in silver spiral armour. Selvig shouted out in warning. “Watch out!”
Natasha glanced at the leviathan from the corner of her eyes, without looking at David.
The leviathan flew at full momentum towards David. Suddenly as it got closer to David it began visibly slowed down to a complete stop.
*Kriee* The Leviathan screamed but it could do nothing as it seemed something was binding it. David uttered with a loud sigh. “I did warn you!”
He lifted his hands to touch the Leviathan’s nose.
*KRIEEEEEE* Suddenly the Leviathan began screaming and thrashing as if it was in agony. Within seconds it stopped its screaming before it became very quiet.
A single metallic order came from the armour. “Consume!”
Then suddenly as if it were dust the Leviathan broke apart and scattered into the dust. The only thing was these dust were silver in colour and began actively seeking out any and all Chitauri and their equipment’s.
Once it landed on any Chitauri or their equipment they would scream in pain before breaking apart and scattering and joining the assault of other silver dust.
Everyone looked at the scene in both terror and amazement. “What the hell is that?”
Barton asked as he saw the Chitauri flying next to him break into silver dust followed by the silver dust, attaching on the Chitauri flying behind and repeating this process. He quickly jumped onto a roof before his flying device was consumed.
Each Chitauri and their equipment the dust attacked; the dust grew in size.
Within the next minute, all Chitauri force attacking turned to dust and gathered before David in the shape of a humongous silver… potato?
Thor looked at the scene in disbelief. “Is that a potato?”
Rogers replied in equal disbelief. “I think it is.”
Natasha’s eyes widened as she watched the scene of a massacre.
If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
“Incoming jackass!”
Tony shouted as he guided the missile past the silver potato to the portal.
David flew after Tony and easily caught up with him. Just as he saw the massive armada waiting behind the portal Tony felt someone grab his leg. “WOAH!”
Tony yelled as he fell down just as David grabbed the nuke from his hand and flew into the portal.
Just as Tony stabilised he watched as David went inside the portal followed by the large potato. “You are not taking all the credit this time pineapple!”
Tony shouted as he went after David only to have his suit run out of power. “Damn it!”
He shouted as he tried to desperately kick start his armour that was falling down.
Natasha’s eyes widened as she saw Tony falling, but David not coming out. *Clang* “Ah!”
Natasha dropped the sceptre she was holding feeling something poke her palms.
She looked down at her hand to see nothing there much to her confusion. She quickly lowered down to pick the sceptre only to see it wasn’t on the floor anymore. “What?”
Worried she looked around only to see the Sceptre moving towards the portal. “NO!”
She ran towards the sceptre just as it stabbed into the machine, stopping the beam from powering the portal. Natasha grabbed onto the sceptre and began pulling it back. “Come… back!”
She struggled only to find the sceptre not budging at all. Her eyes began turning red as she struggled against the immovable sceptre. “Selvig stop the portal from closing!”
Selvig watched Natasha struggling against the sceptre in confusion as the portal slowly closed up. He tried to reverse the process. “It’s too late. I can’t!”
*Clang* The sceptre lost its strength and was pulled back along with Natasha who fell down. “No…!”
Natasha looked up at the blue empty sky in her horror. “No! No! No!”
*Clang**Clang* She grabbed the sceptre as she tried frantically looking for a way to kickstart the machine.
*Clack* She kicked the machine in her feeling of helplessness as Selvig watched her quietly. “AHHH!”
Natasha knelt in helplessness she was feeling after a while. Tears slowly fell from her eyes quietly.
Meanwhile, everyone below quietly looked up in the direction of the closed portal sadly. “Why…sad?” Hulk looked at everyone as he placed Tony down gently.
Everyone looked at the speaking Hulk in surprise. “You can talk?” Tony asked tiredly.
“Hulk talk!” Hulk nodded as he looked at Tony and the group.
“Lollipop man, Hulk talk.”
Hulk pointed up causing everyone to understand he was saying something about David.
“Lollipop?” Tony asked Hulk.
Hulk nodded sadly. “Hulk angry, lollipop tasty.”
He kicked the floor in anger. “This time Banner lie. No lollipop only smash.”
*Crash* He kicked away a wrecked car. Everyone looked at him in even more confusion.
Rogers tried to decipher what Hulk was trying to say. “You mean to say he cooks for you?”
Hulk nodded as he grunted. “Lollipop.”
Tony so desperately wanted to make a paedo joke at the expense of David but realised it might not be the appropriate time with him just having died.
Everyone looked in the direction of the tower. Rogers sighed. “She is going to be devastated.”
They all nodded as they tiredly sat down on the floor.
Unknown to them a lollipop suddenly appeared in front of Hulk. Remembering how he lost the lollipop last time because of the dumb god and his hammer, Hulk quickly grabbed the lollipop before anyone could take it away from him again.
Putting it in his mouth he enjoyed the overflowing taste of the lollipop that satiated him. He looked down to see everyone was quietly looking down. “Why sad?”
“Lollipop man is dead, big guy,” Thor stated as he looked up only to see Hulk chewing the lollipop in content. Thor froze as he watched it.
Tony exclaimed as he too noticed Hulk sucking on the lollipop calmly like a child. “Unbelievable!”
Roger looked at Tony before noticing he was looking at something in amazement. He turned to see Hulk looking at them innocently while sucking on his lollipop.
Thor asked on behalf of everyone. “Uhmm… Hulk where did you get the lollipop from?”
Wary of Thor who pushed him away from his lollipop last time Hulk took a step back. “Lollipop man give Hulk lollipop. Lollipop Hulk’s!”
Hulk stated defensively towards the lollipop as everyone looked at him dumbfoundedly. “Anyone else saw him?”
Thor asked them to which all of them shook their head. Everyone quickly looked around to not notice anyone that could have given it to him now.
Rogers asked as he got up tiredly. “Hulk when did he give you the lollipop?”
Hulk replied innocently. “When everyone sad.”
An irritated look appeared on Tony’s face. Thor tried to clarify. “Do you mean just a moment ago?”
Hulk nodded before turning his attention back to the lollipop. A smile came upon everyone’s face except Tony as they realised David might not have died.
“We won!” Rogers announced.
As he was about to call in Natasha Tony stopped him. Roger’s looked at him in confusion causing him to shake his head. “I wouldn’t give her any false hope. It must have been the last instruction of his remaining nanobots.”
Roger frowned hearing that. “Nano what?”
Rogers asked in confusion. Tired Tony gave a simple explanation. “The silver potato thing.”
They all became down again. Tony looked up. “Besides, we better get up there before she kills Loki.”
Thor looked up in worry as he began swinging his hammer. “I will see you up there!”
They all nodded. Tony looked at Hulk. “Big guy any chance for a lift up?”
Hulk shrugged as he grabbed Tony and Rogers with a lollipop in his mouth. Just as Thor flew up Hulk jumped following him.
Loki crawled up to see the team of Avengers gathered before him. But the strangest thing was seeing Hulk with the lollipop in his mouth, while the redhead just sat in a corner tiredly while glaring at him with her red eyes, held back by the man with the bow behind him.
‘So that’s the lover.’ Loki grinned having a bit of satisfaction knowing the one who messed everything up was dead.
“If it is all the same to you… I will have that drink now.”
Loki told them, which concluded the war.

[New York- As David entered the portal]
The Ancient One sighed as she saw her disciple entering the portal. She mumbled under her breath as she looked at the despair filled girl sat in front of the machine holding the sceptre. "For a smart guy, you really are an idiot."
*Whizz* Opening a portal she dumped the body of the Chitauri she was holding onto in it before opening another portal to Kamar Taj. "Mordo can you get Astrid to come here with his weather relic for me?"
Mordo looked at the portal in front of him in surprise. He looked at her curiously. "Sure, what for?"
The Ancient One smiled hearing this. "To make sure that idiot doesn't miss his chance."

[Helicarrier-A few hours later]
As the councilmen and woman were threatening and warning Fury over the Avenger suddenly one of them brought up the topic of David.
Hawley the councilwoman began. “And David?”
Fury looked at them coldly. “Most likely dead, thanks to all of your great trust. What else do you need from him?”
Fury poked at them for not trusting him and sending the nuke in.
Alexander Pierce began. “You saw what he did, wiping all the Chitauri the avengers barely managed to defeat. Besides, it’s a good thing he is now dead leaving potential data breach void from his side. Also, if we put in the effort to look for his equipment now that he is dead…”
*Beep**Beep**Beep*However, he stopped as something interrupted them with a beeping on all their phones. They looked at their phones before they paused in fear and terror. Fury raised his eyebrows as he watched the expression on all the council.
“Good day Fury.”
They all rushed to end the meeting.
*Beep* Fury looked at his phone in confusion to see one message. [You are welcome.] It was from the same number which had warned him a few hours ago.
He looked at it in shock before a smile came up to his face. *Beep* Fury answered the call. "Hill?"
Hill's voice emerged from the earphone. "Sir Romanoff has left the perimeter without giving a full update on the events that transpired."
Fury suddenly remembered the look on Romanoff's face when they came in with Loki. “Agent Hill, try establishing contact with her. Also, change the status on David Henswick profile.”
Hill asked in a surprised voice. "To what sir?"
Fury looked at the message he had received just a moment ago. "Anything but MIA or dead."
