[After the portal closed- Space]
As soon as the portal closed on itself leaving the Chitauri without a gateway to war, David threw the nuke in his hand. Seeing this the potato behind him ran after it. The nuke meant to destroy the Chitauri was consumed by the silver potato which caused it to massively increase its size even more.
“Begin!” David’s voice strangely came through the void of space, even though it was physically impossible.
The potato soon dispersed as dust and latched onto every Chitauri and their ship devouring it and making it part of them.
David watched the massacre calmly as he stood before the mothership of the Chitauri fleet which fired against the dust but could do nothing.
Very soon the only thing left in space was the large empty Chitauri fleet.
As the fleet attempted retreat it found that it couldn’t even establish communication much less access the UI of their ship. Within seconds the dust invaded the mothership and left not even a bone behind before David’s eyes.
The dust inside the mother ship gathered itself and connected to the Chitauri database accessing and retrieving all the information stored in it, along with any information from the intergalactic net. Let it be knowledge, reports, news anything that the army of one most powerful being in the universe had access to, nothing escaped the grasp of the nanobots data retrieval.
The dust soon finished accessing all data and gathered itself into a small silver ball which sat on the floor and emitted a red light.
*Whizz*An orange portal opened up and a person in silver armour walked out taking the small metal ball of dust. He smiled seeing the rest of the dust looking ready for his command. “Consume and destruct!”
*Whizz* David walked to the portal which closed itself.
As soon as David left the whole fleet was consumed by the massive pool of silver dust. This caused a massive amount of silver dust to be floating where one of the army division of the mad titan once used to be.
Suddenly a silent explosion rang out, rivalling that of even the nuclear bomb itself, which was picked up by all local space lifeform and civilisation.
Everyone looked towards the explosion and was silently glad that the mad titan picked on someone who he should never have picked on this time.

[David- After coming back from the Chitauri fleet]
I looked at the small sphere of silver.
If I put it under an extremely powerful microscope, I could see the occasional movements of nanobots.
Unlike the nanobots that Tony designed in the movie, these were different after my 2 years of improvement and updates. They had 3 simple functions in addition to the normal nanobots functions: eat, multiply and when given the order self-destruct.
These bots could essentially consume anything-whether biological or material substance - and multiply themselves using the material they consumed.
Just one of these bots had an explosion strength of a below-average grenade not to mention what happens when billions of these nanobots exploded at the same time.
I froze as the knowledge to combine inhuman, hulk serum and Extremis appeared in my mind. With the need for comprehending space stone data gone I had a free slot of rooted potato which I used instantly for my HIE serum. Due to already having done most calculation myself it wasn’t surprising to get the result done within few days.
Although I was excited to try out the new powerup I had my attention diverted elsewhere.
*Snap* The nanobots making up silver armour disassembled and merged with the floor leaving me out in the open in my plain casual trousers and shirt.
Taking the sphere, I placed it on a cube-shaped device and attached the helmet linked to it on my head. This was one of my latest inventions after I got tired and being lazy of having to read all the information one by one manually from books.
Instead, what this does is transfer all the information that is stored as data to my head to be memorised so that my rooted potato could comprehend it when I had a spare slot. It basically allowed me to skip the reading process.
The process soon started.
[Mum calling] My bots informed me but seeing as that I was in no condition to speak they left the call unanswered.
[Dad calling] The line sprung up again. They must be worried about me after seeing the news probably.
‘I will call them after this.’ I told myself as I closed my eyes and sat back. I just went to sleep as this process would take a rather long time.
*Beep* I woke up to the constant beeping of my machines.
Sitting up I noticed few hours had passed. I smiled as I noticed pieces of knowledge that I had never read in my head.
This was what I have been waiting for since the moment I prepared. Screw infinity stones, screw inhuman genes and screw magic. All my preparation since the very start was for this opportunity to gain access to all the universal database.
Sure, Earth was advanced but not as advanced as several galactic civilisations that were out in the universe. They certainly weren’t advanced as Thanos’ army and the civilisation he had under his control. Now I too had all that knowledge. Knowledge capable of rivalling any magic and any civilisation in the world.
I was a walking library at this point in every field, just that I hadn’t personally comprehended them. The thing however is I didn’t need to comprehend them.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
‘Use all the knowledge memorised to reverse the effect of HE serum.’ I gave a new order as my priority wasn’t to comprehend the knowledge I had anymore but rather to use the information that was memorised to solve my current problems.
Comprehending knowledge just allowed me to do things myself rather than relying on rooted potato. I could find a time to comprehend them later on.
I walked toward the cube taking the silver sphere out before moving towards the mirror dimension without taking any fireproof gears.
I extended the cube in front of me. “Destruct.”
*BOOOM* A raging flame went out that encompassed the surrounding 2 km. I opened my mouth and inhaled.
The burning fire was like a small warm drink as it went inside me replenishing my energy and satisfying me.
Finished with my meal I came out of the mirror dimension.
I sat down as I began relaying orders. “Show me all the activity log since I have been gone.”
My nanobots pulled up a screen before me showing me all the events that transpired after I had been gone:
[Delivery of lollipop to Hulk- Completed]
[Threat against the council members- Completed]
[Message to Fury- Completed]
[114 missed calls from Dad]
[109 missed calls from Mum]
[90 missed calls from Home]
[27 missed calls and 21 messages from Bruce.]
Just as I was prepared to call mum and dad to assure them I was okay, I noticed the calls from Bruce. I frowned seeing the unusually high number of calls from him and dialled him first worrying for him.
He picked up. “You okay Br…”
Before I could finish Bruce interrupted me. “Have you called Natasha?”
I became concerned. “No, what happened?”
Bruce sighed as he moved to a quiet place away from the rain and wind. “She thinks you are dead. By the time Hulk went to sleep and I could explain about the wormhole thing, she had disappeared. Clint went to check her home and she wasn’t there. No one can find where she is either and her phone was found on the street.”
‘Fuck, I forgot to take into Bruce’s duration of Hulk transformation into account.’ I cursed as I quickly pulled up the track and locate software I created specifically for Nat.
*Ping* The search result quickly came back with a feed, and I opened the image of where she was.
I assured Bruce seeing Nat safe and soon understood why no one found her yet. “I got her. Don’t worry.”
Bruce sighed in relief. “Alright then, good luck.”
He hung up as I sat there with my heart becoming steady from the worry Bruce had just caused me.
She was sat with her head between her knees in the kitchen of the store where we first delved into our passion. She sat on top of the rubble of ‘her’ destroyed store in front of the table where we once mixed the dough with both our hands.
The store was a wreck due to the attack. The roof where Bruce and I used to once sleep didn’t exist anymore, which didn’t stop the rain from the outside. I wanted to go there so badly, but until I made sure I wasn’t a threat to her I won’t go in front of her.
It was different from me visiting Bruce and the sorcerers who could always run away from me or survive if it became dangerous around me, unlike Nat who would have no choice but to face death.
I decided to not go there and instead send a message to her through my…
*Sniff* My heart halted to a stop as I heard her sniffling with her.
She finally lifted her head up to show her red puffy and wet face letting me see her from the camera on her clearly, which she was holding. “Please come back.”
Her head was soaking wet. “I am sorry.”
Hearing that I couldn’t just stay still. “Fuck this!”
I stood up while praying nothing could go wrong for me to hurt her again. Grabbing a blanket quickly from a portal I opened up a portal behind her.
*Whizz* I saw her freezing up as she recognised the familiar sound of my portal opening from 2 years ago.
I walked forward before I wrapped the blanket around her. “Sorry.”
Apologising I was preparing to step back, and go back into my portal before I unintentionally caused her any harm.
I stopped as I felt a tight grip on my arm. I looked up to see Nat tightly holding onto both my arms without turning around.
She pulled my arms causing me to go forward. Without saying anything she wrapped my arms around her.
*Whizz* My portal closed by itself as I didn’t bother maintaining it anymore.
We both didn’t speak as we sat there with Nat tightly holding onto my arms which were around her.
I relaxed as I leaned on her back and closed my eyes in her warmth. “Sorry.” I apologised to her once more.
“For what?” Natasha asked me in her teary voice.
“For lying to you.”
I decided to not justify myself anymore. 2 years was enough time for me to realise I have always been justifying my actions instead of facing the consequences of my actions.
However, Natasha shook her head. “No.”
She rejected my apology as she cried. “What are you sorry for?”
I sat there in confusion as I repeated. “For lying to you.”
She shook her head again as I repeated the same thing. “No.”
Her voice kept breaking. “What are you sorry for?”
I felt teardrops on my arms. My heart began stinging seeing her crying. “I don’t know Nat. Sorry.”
I leaned on her back once again. I pleaded in tears. “Please don’t cry.”
Nat pulled my arm away and got away from my embrace. I looked down sadly at failing to apologise to her properly.
I felt her cup my cheeks on her hands. She lifted my face to meet her red and teary eyes. In her shaky voice, she spoke. “Say you are sorry for making me think you died.”
I smiled as I couldn’t hold back my tears anymore. “I am sorry for making you think I died.”
I placed my hands above her’s. which was on my face as we both cried and smiled. “I accept your apology.”
She touched her forehead with mine as the blanket around her flew off carried away by the wind that got in from the open roof.
We both closed our eyes and just kept feeling the sensation of us coming into contact again after so long.
I felt so alive and everything else felt irrelevant at this moment. When I am with her, nothing mattered to me.
My heart skipped a beat as I felt her lips touch mine just as her forehead left the contact it kept. Her arms went around my neck and held me in place as she kissed me for the first time in 2 years.
Her tongue slowly invaded my mouth and I accepted her intrusion. Natasha slowly pulled back after a while as she looked me in the eyes as tears kept pouring from both our eyes in happiness. “Is it too late to say I still love you?”
I shook my head. “You will never be late.”
Natasha smiled hearing my response. “I still love you.”
She smiled as it kept raining on both of us. “I know.”
I smiled in the rain that drenched us. We both hugged each other the rain and the wind not bothering us at all. She asked me after a while. “How did you know?”
Moving my hand, I grabbed her right hand which tightly held onto the silver necklace inlaid with the black jewels I gave her which allowed me to track her. “You never threw it away.”
I could feel the sad smile on her face. “You told me to hold on to it if I missed you.”
I smiled sadly as I hugged her tightly. “I am sorry for hiding everything from you. I promise to never do it again.”
Being soaked or feeling cold didn’t bother us. Right now, all that mattered was this hug for me and for her.
Natasha pulled me apart to look at me with her soaked hair. “David.”
I answered her call. “Yeah?”
She grabbed my right arm and pulled me with a smile as the rain washed away both our tears. “Let’s go.”
She led me out of the store. Getting out we were both in front of the destroyed and wet New York City.
I noticed the flap of an orange robe from a corner before it disappeared. I stopped causing Natasha to wait up. I looked up at the rain and understood why it suddenly poured in a city where it had clear weather. “What happened?”
I looked at Natasha. “Just figured out why it was raining.”
I smiled as I moved her hold on my wrist to my upper arm. She smiled back as she leaned her head on my shoulder. “Why is it raining?”
I leaned my cheek on top of her head. “The universe wants us to be together.”
She smiled hearing the answer. As we stood there watching the rain fall on the ruined street quietly she suddenly asked me a question. “Do you want to walk?”
I chuckled hearing it. “I won’t say no even if the universe was destroyed.”
She chuckled. “You are still bad at romantic compliments.”
I remembered the same thing she told me on our very first date. “But I still like it.”
We began walking ignoring everything.
